Fuji, please prioritize improving your autofocus. Even after Firmware V7, XH2's autofocus is a joke compared to the competition. I encourage everyone reading this to comment and let Fuji know how dissatisfied people are.
Autofocusing is jumping all over the place with AF-S and wide-angle lenses at f/5.6 on all X-system cameras since the X-T4. It’s still not fixed despite a promise a couple firmwares ago. Maybe take an engineer or two off the video support projects and send them to the autofocus group? Your priorities are wrong.
Dear Fujifilm, autofocus is more important to a camera than a new film simulation. Learn to prioritize things! Despite having beautiful, incredibly well designed powerful cameras, many pro photographers are not buying/moving out of the Fujifilm system just because the autofocus system is not on par with the best. Kindly prioritize the bigger things first for heaven's sake.
Many customers already left the XF system because of these AF issues.... sold my XH2 and a bunch of lenses two weeks ago, keeping the XH2s for a little while...
I bought an a6700, Fuji has a huge AF problem and they still think its only about a hand and an eye 😂 a6700 destroys my xh2s. Just keeping it because nobody wants to buy
@@lumberjack3008 I'm nearly in the same boat. I have an OM-1.2 running alongside my X-H2, and it's making a really good case for showing Fuji the door. I love Fuji's colours and I don't find their AF too bad (for my use case), but the OM never misses, so I'd rather have in focus shots and sort the colours out later, rather than having nicely coloured out of focus shots.
Updated my X100Vi, X20, XT5, XH2S. I tested the XH2S still is TERRIBLE. I can point at something still in my studio, and the focus hunts even after locking on to focus. You can see the micro pulses. Really distracting. No such issues with Sony. Surely this is not too much to ask.
I love Fuji . But it is very disappointing that you neglect the voice of your costumers. Firstly you give updates only for the latest generation of cameras. Yet most of your costumers hold the old ones - Xt3, xt4 etc. And autofocus guys !! Common !!! It’s is a software stuff just make it better so you won’t loose costumers.

It would be beneficial to review real-world scenarios that users are sharing on various forums. I have already left my opinion of X-H2 and X-H2s AF-C on bhphoto, unfortunately the persistent AF-C issue has suppressed resale value of all Fuji-XF cameras, I can't sale them anymore as few people want them, but I will save $$ to buy a SONY soon. So disappointed!
Dear Fujifilm, I'm not playing brother give us better auto focus. We have the worst auto focus capability of all camera brands in the world. It's seriously bad my camera breathes more than I do. Burst shooting is useless when the hit rate is something like 5%. Just do it brother, scout some talent from Sony and fix your damn cameras. Make it happen. Just do it bro. Just do it.

I migrated to Fujifilm three years ago and looking at how Fujifilm totally ignores even relatively recently released cameras and the lack of development on Fujifilm's more affordable lens lines for amateurs I very much regret that decision. It seems that Fujifilm's focus isn't on retaining existing customers but rather on pursuing marketing and social media trends and hype. 😟😟😟

Yes agreed, the 7.0.0 firmware only fixes the focus box bug from last update, but doesn't improve AF performance at all. Fujifilm needs to make an update focused on actually IMPROVING their autofocus, rather than just fixing their mistakes

Thank you for your efforts but we would love to have an autofocus system that is on par with the competition and that does not suffer a deterioration in performance with each update. Additionally, Panasonic has an incredible stabilization system that we would love to see in your brand as well.

Will this new firmware address this external mic issue? When using the XH2s with an external mic, setting the volume for the mic only takes effect after I go into the volume menu. Every time the camera goes to sleep or is powered off, I have to go back into the audio menu for the correct volume to be applied. If I do not do this, the mic level is off by two or three dB. For example, I have the external mic level set to -21dB. If I turn on the camera and press record, the audio level is way higher than -21dB. I can hear it in the headphones and I can see it on the audio meter. I've configured a function button to take me directly to the external mic audio level. Simply by pressing the button to open the menu, the audio level goes to the correct level. I didn't change anything. All I did was open the audio menu. It was at -21dB and I didn't change it, but the sound level has dropped. I can hear it in the headphones and see it on the audio meter. What it drops to is the correct level. For some reason, unless I go into the menu, the audio level that's specified in the menu is not the audio level that the camera records at. My workaround for this bug is to hit the audio menu button every single time I power on the camera or wake it up. Every once in a while, I will accidentally start recording for a few seconds without going into the menu to make the correct audio level apply and I have to get the person I'm recording to start over after I've pressed my audio menu button. I do this without stopping recording and two different audio levels are recorded. I can hear it and see it on the audio waveform. This is with mics plugged into the mic port. I also have the Tascam XLR adapter and this issue does not apply to that because the mic level is set via a dial on the adapter. I have several different mics from different manufacturers and the problem is there no matter which mic I plug in. I've tried different combinations of mics, input cables, headphones, headphone cables, etc. The problem remains the same no matter what. During testing, I discovered that this bug applies to both low volume and high volume settings. I cranked the external mic level all the way up and noticed that the sound level and audio meter were lower than they should have been and when I pressed the button to go into the audio menu, the volume level went up in the headphones and the audio meter went higher. It seems like the camera is normalizing the audio level every time it turns on. If the external mic level is below a certain threshold, it raises it. If the external mic level is above a certain threshold, it lowers it. And you have to go into the menu for the level that you set to actually be applied. I have two XH2s bodies, bought a year or so apart, both on current firmware and this problem happens on both of them.
Dear fujifilm, please updated the firmware that can be use flash sync speed 1/160 on gfx100s and gfx 100ii. when i updated the v2.11 firmware of gfx100s and used flash strobe, i could not be used 1/160 flash sync speed without "black bar", the previous firmware v2.00 i can used 1/160 shutter speed with no "black bar" show on the image.

This isn't great.... closing the gap is overdue. No new relvant XF prime lenses for almost two years now. Not a single fast and silent focusing fast prime portrait lens in the range 40-80mm. Having hard time using the Fujfilm Tether App, is there a manual or something? 😭Can't even choose where to save the photos while using the App 😭and LR does not detect the plugin as Tethering (Plugin is Enabled).
I dont get the announcement for such secondary stuff. Improve your autofocus that sucks on all your cameras. Give software upgrades to all your cameras like you did in the past with xt1 and xpro-1 and dont leave the cameras like you dont care. Give the new models xpro-4 x80 and lenses like 18mm f2 v2. No one cares about jpg colors they are fine and other brands like sony developed them too. You cant compete with canon nikon and sony except in the design and marketing. Noone was asking for new film simulations and everyone cries about the autofocus. If you do only one thing from the above mentioned fix the autofocus. Fix it yesterday not today.

U need to learn to prioritize. We need WAY better quality control (two lenses and a H2s returned out of the box) and reliable firmware updates - updates that won't make the camera worse like the last one. Unfortunately, after two years, I gave up on being around to see how the brand's gona develope. I'm switching to Sony, reluctantly, but necessary :(

Any "high performance" x series lens needs linear motors, period. I love my 56mm f1.2 R WR for image quality, but it can't track any kind of movement which is frustrating for portraiture since that is that main point of such a lens. Improve your AF game before you do anything else.

I purchased my XT-30ii in April 24, just before the announcement of the XT-50. I was hoping that it would also get the latest features, such as new film simulations, in the firmware releases. It is not like Fuji discounted the price of the XT-30ii before releasing the XT-50. I love my XT-30ii by the way, it is just I was hoping for it to stay current a little while longer having paid full price very recently.
I pre-ordered mine in March 2024 and am also still waiting, but I know it will come in the end. I also remember waiting quite a long time WAY back when I pre-ordered the X-Pro2 as soon as it was announced. That arrived in due course and I love it still.

On the download page it does mention ‘fix on AF error for pupil detection’. Whether that amounts to anything remains to be seen!

Please upgrade the AF system. I am huge fuji fan, but latest AF performance really made me think of switching the system, it's abysmal.

My x-t5 is still stuck in firmware 2.03 because of afc issue of the latest version. Af capability is more important than new film simulation for me.
Don't really care about Reala Ace. Please, for the love of god, just focus on making a best-in-class autofocus in the next firmware update.

Do it, I switched from X-H2 to the Z8 and haven't looked back. Wouldn't count on Fuji ever catching up, all they do is pretend.

I would like to see either an X-T50 without the film sim dial and the bigger battery, or, an X-S20 with the new 40 megapixel sensor.

Software won’t change the motors in the lens , they are the same as the x100v

No new relvant XF prime lenses for almost two years now. Not a single fast and silent focusing fast prime portrait lens in the range 40-80mm. A new XF lens roadmap would be helpful.

Having hard time using the Fujfilm Tether App, is there a manual or something? 😭Can't even choose where to save the photos while using the App 😭and LR does not detect the plugin as Tethering (Plugin is Enabled).
I dont get the announcement for such secondary stuff. Improve your autofocus that sucks on all your cameras. Give software upgrades to all your cameras like you did in the past with xt1 and xpro-1 and dont leave the cameras like you dont care. Give the new models xpro-4 x80 and lenses like 18mm f2 v2. No one cares about jpg colors they are fine and other brands like sony developed them too. You cant compete with canon nikon and sony except in the design and marketing. Noone was asking for new film simulations and everyone cries about the autofocus. If you do only one thing from the above mentioned fix the autofocus. Fix it yesterday not today.

U need to learn to prioritize. We need WAY better quality control (two lenses and a H2s returned out of the box) and reliable firmware updates - updates that won't make the camera worse like the last one. Unfortunately, after two years, I gave up on being around to see how the brand's gona develope. I'm switching to Sony, reluctantly, but necessary :(

But please improve your autofocus.. is that so difficult.? Even a small mobile cameras like apple and samsung have great stabilisation n autofocus. U can have collaboration with them just like Xiaomi did with Leica
Any "high performance" x series lens needs linear motors, period. I love my 56mm f1.2 R WR for image quality, but it can't track any kind of movement which is frustrating for portraiture since that is that main point of such a lens. Improve your AF game before you do anything else.

Even after this update and fix the X-T5 AF nowhere near the XT3. My xt3 still tracks and lockes eyes way better than this cameras in video mode.

I purchased my XT-30ii in April 24, just before the announcement of the XT-50. I was hoping that it would also get the latest features, such as new film simulations, in the firmware releases. It is not like Fuji discounted the price of the XT-30ii before releasing the XT-50. I love my XT-30ii by the way, it is just I was hoping for it to stay current a little while longer having paid full price very recently.

I pre-ordered mine in March 2024 and am also still waiting, but I know it will come in the end. I also remember waiting quite a long time WAY back when I pre-ordered the X-Pro2 as soon as it was announced. That arrived in due course and I love it still.
