As a brown person who loves Korean makeup, yes the skin tone difference can be so big at times😭 like everyone is always saying “don’t use this it makes you look dark” “use this to make your skin lighter/whiter” etc and I’m like… too late I’m already brown. Other than that the cuteness and brightness is amazing as well as how simple the overall vibe is while making your features pop.

Korean cushions are also moisturizing which my ass dry skin needs. I have also embraced my eye fat and now I use glitter eyeshadows and eyeliners to cutify my eyes! Thanks to kbeauty becomming popular the lightest shades of foundation are now available in my country, before that I never wore foundation as they assumed everyone wanted that "sun kissed" look that looked like a cheap orange fake tan on my ghostly white skin.
When I lived in Korea I used a moisturizer without really knowing what it was. It was only when people remarked that I was looking extra pale that I realized it has whitening ingredients!
What exactly were you using? My mom only buys Korean skin care and she has naturally an olive skin tone. Her skin has not whitened over the years that she’s been using it and it always looks so healthy and glowy, people always ask ask her what she does to get such healthy skin
@@Imokayluv I don't remember it was over ten years ago, maybe it was from Tony Moly or Etude House one of those cheap stores? @@eimearmcmanus372 Sometimes the "whitening" ones just had some whitish tone to them, it's not that they actually bleached your skin but more so acted as a sort of milder BB cream with a white cast. Parttt 2 pleaseeee!
I’d actually seen the second video & LOVED that a brown girl was successful!
Like 2 years ago I watched a “how to do eye makeup like Park Jimin” and honest to God I don’t remember how to do it any other way. I’ve got super hooded eyes so I love using Korean style looks.
