Sensei's grunts and struggles are hilarious. 😂 Great video as always!
Glad I am not the only one laughing. I suck at this too. 😂. Great routine.
I lol'd at his first grunt during the very first movement
Great video. I can see not only me struggling.
He's so cool for showing how difficult it is for him
No doubt! Most UA-camrs only show stuff once they are good at it. This is a great reminder that everyone has to start somewhere, and everyone sucks at some things at some times no matter how good they are at other things.
Very humble move on his part. Shintaro is Gold
I love this guys honesty and he’s a true martial artist, fake ain’t allowed in or out of the dojo
Dear Shintaro: I have been a Judoka for 58 years and a yoga acharya (yogi) for 41 years. You suffered throughout the video and made me concerned about your flexibility and overall health. Give it a try to Asanas, Pranayama (breathing exercises) and Dhyana (Meditation). Thanks for sharing. I am your big fan. Special thanks to the beautiful yoga teacher Grace Jolicoeur! Namaste!!🥰💙
I did yoga for two years after a minor injury I got in a tournament and it´s fun and great for health. Thanks for sharing this video.
The intro was legit 9 seconds long, I love this channel
True lol
hahah
This can enhance body mechanics in every martial art.
True
I am so thankful to have found this video. As a 52 year old grappler, I am stiff all over. My warmup process before training involves extensive stretching. I learned a few new things here that will be so helpful. Thank you!
One of the most important things you can do to prevent injury is yoga. It can't be stressed enough how overlooked flexibility is for any martial arts (or just anyone who sits in front of a computer all day). Additionally the flexibility from yoga will really help with recovery when you do pull something. And finally when you do this to yourself, it doesn't hurt anywhere near as much when someone else does it to you. ;)
Great video.
It’s probably because people view martial arts as a way to become flexible
Of all the judo channels, I'm sticking with yours. Great videos, clarity, experience and succinct. Thanks
🥝🇳🇿🥋
Very good yoga instructor. She ties the moves to specific techniques in BJJ and Judo, and explains what each move is accomplishing physiologically.
Straight to favorites list.
Will definitely try to include some of this into routine
Wow ... healthy video. Elasticity and good mobility is one of the key in martial arts ... including judo! Well done ! Cheers ...
Beautiful video. Well done guys. Stay blessed 👍🏻⭐⭐💯
It must be great for flexibility ,and you can see that,Sensei Shintaro has a great work out that every judoka should try before sleep 😮great video!
She is a much better yoga instructor than many profesional yoga instructors!
I was so surprised to see Shintaro struggling with these stretches….Definitely going to try these…..great video as usual…thanks…
Finally! You post a video of an opponent you really struggled to defeat!!!
Hahahahhaa
I have never had problem with the ROM of my shoulders, until I started doing judo. I am so glad to see Shintaro struggle with some of the poses. 😁
Been doing this routine daily for 3 weeks now feels like a great improvement. Would love another video with more hip mobility stretches/poses
love to see this. mobility is a great thing to incorporate into your lifestyle.
Just had shoulder surgery but i cant wait to do this sequence in my recovery
This is great! Thank you!
I hope this session kickstarted Shintaro getting rid of the tightness developed over the years and now he's looser. I found myself in a similar position some years ago and on a whim I started doing some sort of "gentle relaxing yoga before bed" routine and it made me sweat and struggle for a month or two, and nowadays it actually is relaxing and helps with hips/torso getting really tight. That huge mass of muscle Shintaro has has got to get really tight if it's not forced to relax ever. Like there's so much muscle packed into his body.
Excellent video thank you
The struggle is real. This made my day.
Sensei está todo travado, tá precisando de mais seções de Yoga hahahahaha😂😂😂😂
This was nice to see these positions actually explained, took a yoga class once and we basically just did the equivalent of a kata for yoga every time.
Video cut off oddly, tho.
Great video. If you can't move, you can't fight.
i need these stretches in my life
Don’t be fooled by Grace’s sweet demeanor,Shintaro is being held against his will 😂
Fantastic mobility there. I need this in my life. I’m like a sack of spuds on the mat….zero flexibility 😂😂
Greetings . Thank you for sharing , OSS!!
I definitly needed that ! Thanks !
This is an awesome video!
Shintaro in this video is my spirit animal
Aw jeeze, this lady is killing me! Haha
Ottimi spunti...come sempre... Puoi continuare su questo argomento con qualche altro video? Grazie
Full torture for Senseï Shintaro but great Yoga training for us 😊
Omg Shin. 😂 love you haha.
My favorite things together yoga and judo
Excellent
It is oddly comforting to see Shintaro suffering almost as much as I suffer when trying to stretch.
Mr. Higashi, like to see your humility
as i'm struggling to laugh because of sore muscles , this is hilarious .
Wow, lucky Shintaro!
the fact SHintaro is moanig in pain proves this yoga is helping him loosen up. Imma do this now before I get way too stiff.
Hermosa mujer...
Shintaro si que sufres deben ser las lesiones 😮
Shoulda named this, Shintaro struggles
Is stretching and yoga synonymous?
It seems yoga has a lot of core strengthening
He just acts like in pain so gets more of her help :)
Would.
Lol @ Shintaro's audible pain
How is the first Move called ?
Very helpful, but jiguru, slow it down. There is 45-60 minutes of yoga here. Turn into an instructional video where we can practice along
more yoga for sensei
Make a video on tewara geashi to mount for bjj
Alright but what about yoga for old man judo?
Lookin a little tight there Shintaro :D
Can you give these forms names and put this sequence in writing for me?
dude, for real, write them down yourself.
Bendy thing 1
Bendy thing 2
Bendy thing 3
huffing and puffing like a locomotive! very indicative of someone who does not do yoga all the time as it is surely very intense! shes accustomed to it and alot of females seem to excell in that category.
shintaro has hilariously short legs
🖒👍
Breath mother, breath. Oh, and not through your mouth. If BJJ is involuntary yoga; then yoga is voluntary BJJ.
I have tight mid spine!
What does Yoga do for Judo?
It makes you more limber,, less likely to get injured and strengthens you
I think probably better flexibility and isometric core strength would be a good way to prevent certain injury types. I have thought about trying to start yoga once a week on an off day for this reason (as well as general quality of life and longevity). BTW I am middle aged - if you are young you may already have enough elasticity in your tendons and muscles for doing yoga to not be a huge contributing factor (just guessing not an expert!)
As an older guy. I can tell you that any type of stretching helps a lot.
@@Sam-rb1id I'm 63 and that yoga helps. I haven't done Judo in forever. Hoping to work my way back into it
As far as I know, increasing your flexibility and your mobility helps you to avoid certain injuries and to unlock more movement amplitude which eventually allow you to fully use your power.
What crap
Look at the arch on that girl’s feetie
