You OBVISOULY DONT HAVE much knowlege of power and speed on the water i have a 1999 javelin Renegade 20 foot with a 225 2 stroke Johnson with a raker 24 pitch its best gps speed is 65 mph on calm water with minimum gear and 40 gallons of gas and 1.5 gallons of oil no water in the livewell and two occupants on board with a 50O lb extra.80 mph is not going to happen.......
Yes, he ended up buying the correct prop plugs. He put them all in, and took a few out at a time until he got it fine tuned. I just called and confirmed with him, and he said it’s in perfect working order now.
Yep. My diy attempt was a miserable failure, bought the Mercury PVS plugs, plugged all 8 and it wouldn't let the motor rev over 1600rpm to come up out of the water. Ended up knocking 4 plugs out and the holeshot is almost perfect.
Invest in a good Renagde 3 blade prop your prop is making your motor hitting the rev limitor to much money there to waist that nice motor ,nice boat be proud and good luck.
Def need to add some pvs plugs man, if you havent already. Id try all 8 plugs with the bigger vent hole plugs in
He’ll yeah men
It's cavitating for some reason
Try trimming the motor up a little at take off then easing it down after you get going
That thing should run 80 mph for real
Way more then that
