Your most inspiring craft, in my opinion, is your relationship! Please tell us how you two met, and how many anniversaries have you celebrated together? Sending you sunshine from Florida!
It is fantastic to see you both knitting, should be more guys doing it, Arne don't feel your have to slow down any just because someone said you are a fast knitter. That is great, so keep it up just keep doing as your doing, being yourself. They can rewind the video, and view it again and again!By some of the comments some people either don't watch or don't list to what you're saying which is sad.Love your video's, keep 'em coming, love the outside ones, as the studio.
Hi, I've just cast off knitting your cowl pattern. I did it using alpaca yarn in pale grey. It's beautiful, thank you for a lovely pattern. I learnt to knit when I was 6 years old! Long ago.
On any video I have ever watched you will have people that will make comments about speed etc. I am very thankful for anyone posting a video demonstrating how to do something. It is a great gift. There are so many videos out there I would recommend watching multiple videos on a subject to gather different things from each. For me watching different videos I have gone from a confused beginner to someone who is helping others. Keep doing what you are doing Arne and Carlos it is such an inspiration. P.S. I have also gotten a lot of vital info from knitting podcasters who share more than teach.
You both do a wonderful job instructing us. Arne you don't give yourself enough credit for your English speaking skills. I think you make yourself perfectly understood! Keep up the great work boys!congratulations on a year of great tutorials!
Hi Carlos, I am from Buenos Aires, Argentina and really enjoy your videos and Arne´s of course. Thank you very much for your creativity and generosity. You are real artists! I love knitting and it relaxes me a lot. Carlos, I was intrigued in wich country of South America you went to school. Would it be Argentina, maybe? Best wishes!
Because of your tutorials I am able to knit Norwegian. It sure makes it easier for me when I am knitting and purling together. I haven't been doing it very long and so I am not so sure that my tension is the best, but I am enjoying when I need to purl so much better. Thank you
Hello gentlemen. For anyone who doesn’t know if you are watching on a tablet you can tap the screen on the left and the video will go back 10 seconds. I lov your tutorials. 🧡
Thank you Arne and Carlos for sharing a part of your life with us. I know how to knit and crochet but love to watch you and be inspired by you. You have inspired me to be more creative in my craft and it has opened a space of peace and love to grow ever bigger in my soul. Thank you from a Norwegian living in the US.❤️✌🏼🐑☃️
I am so thankful to and for both of you. You are fun, informative, serious, and excellent teachers. Yes, even you No-Patience-Carlos! :-) Oh, Carlos, I am shocked no one wanted the sweater you are wearing. The design is STUNNING! I would wear it proudly. Arne, it may be harder for you, but keep speaking.
I am watching old black and white movies as I watch your old videos, too. I can't imagine spending Christmas Eve any other way after spending the last three nights in the hospital.
Your both amazing and your videos inspire me. I enjoy watching your videos not just for the knitting information and patterns but because I find your videos are relaxing and enjoyable to listen and watch. Arne knits with such a nature ease, that is inspiring in itself. Thank you both. Tamira
Believe me.. You guys ARE inspiring... Even though I am a very slow Knitter/Crocheted, and stick to simple projects ...hats, scarves, blankets, etc.. I always enjoy your videos... I always learn something interesting.. Thanks for sharing your considerable skills and knowledge with us!💜💜😎
I made all my grandchildren look-alike dolls from your doll book. I bought it here in Minneapolis, MN, USA. When my grandchildren got older, I handed it down to a younger grandma visiting from Denmark who wanted to make some for HER grandchildren. Now I can't wait to try your PAIRfect socks!
Late to this but follow-up question: how do you care for your knits, including your vintage knits- all look amazing and vibrant- would love a tutorial on washing, caring and storing knits and would love to see favorite pieces in your collection! Thanks guys!
I just found your channel the other day when I was looking for granny square tutorials and ideas. I loved both the granny square and flower, and plan to watch the mandala one soon. I've been crocheting for 2 years, and you are inspiring me to take up knitting. I love the name of your bird book, Field Guide to Knitted Birds. Right now I am just taking the morning to go through and watch more videos. They are beautifully done - thank you for sharing your passions.
Keep up the good work dear Arne & Carlos. One more tip about the speed, you can adjust the video speed on UA-cam! Press on the 3 vertical white dots on the top right and select your preferred speed!
Dear Arne & Carlos,My name is Suheyla,ı live Istanbul-Turkey. I know you well and I find your videos very instructive and educational. I have been very informed. I am very much looking forward to your videos every weekend and enjoy watching.
Hello Arne and Carlos, I enjoyed your videos very much, I do hope you will continue to post many more. Its the simplicity of all your video that keeps me focused. If I have any questions I go to your website. Easy! Thank you so much ❤
I recently found you two when looking for an easy sock heel to teach in a beginner sock class. Arne's demo in the Pairfect video was just what I needed. I'm a thrower like Carlos (and will always be), but I'm practicing Norwegian so I can switch back and forth when my hands bother me. I could never get purling Continental until I watched Arne do it. You two are a perfect balance, with Arne doing the demos as Carlos explaining every step and showing alternate ways get the same results. There's so much more I could say, but I will leave it at THANK YOU for these delightful videos.
I just started tuning into your videos and absolutely love them! I do not think Arne goes too fast :-) Keep it up and I can't wait for your books and yarns to be available in the United States!
Love Love Love you two!!!! I find your videos very inspiring!!!!!! Thank you for being you!!! Keep up the great work. I especially find it great that Arne came from a family of milking cows and knitting in a home with four generations....such an amazing story!!! I dream of visiting Scandinavia, I want to visit one day to buy yarn and see great horses!!!! Thank you of the videos!!!
I so love you both and you TRULY are inspirational so wish you two could come to warren ohio. I also will say I hope your Regina sock yarn goes on sale. It got me to make your simple socks. Just amazing. And take time for yourselves and remember your relaxing hobby
Thank you for your question and answer. It was great to find answers. Until I realized you had patterns etc on your website I didn't know where to find anything. Now I know. Thank you for all you do and share with us. Much appreciated. Oh and Arne your English is very good.
dear arne and Carlos. would you do a you tube video of just reading something. when I'm crafting I enjoy listening to something soothing and inspirational. always want more. sigh. thanks for all you do. love you guys. are keep on going speedy it inspires me to be better
Thanks so much Arne and Carlos! I only recently discovered your channel and I've already enjoyed it greatly. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise with us, I'm now giving "picking" instead of "throwing" a go (I'm from Australia, so we mostly learn to knit in the English style) and look forward to more stimulation and enjoyment from your videos and website. Thank you!
You All are marvelous I love your channel. Your videos are always informative and wonderful. You have taught me a great deal... THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. BEST WISHES
Your videos are the highlight of my Sundays. I look forward to them all week and they are a nice break from my work as a college student. Thank your for all your help and ibspiration, and much love from the United States.
Better late than never? My question is how exactly do you organize your stash? Im really having a hard time organizing…also you’ve reached your goal! You’ve inspired so many people! Did I miss an episode where you show off the new studio? Is it still being constructed?
I am inspired by how fast Arne knits! I can't wait until I can knit that fast! And I have had no trouble understanding what he is showing. You guys are awesome!!
I was thrilled to have stumbled across your videos while searching for knitting techniques. Love your energy, style, videos, your home, and precious dog. I am disappointed to learn that the gorgeous sweaters you both wear are not available in pattern or complete form because they are vintages pieces that you have purchased over time and in different places. I shall have to start shopping second hand stores for vintage sweaters. Maybe one day you will decide to create patterns from the many sweaters you own. Love, love, love your sweater collection.
Hello both! Ever since I found your channel and website, I have been thankful for your videos (fast or slow.) I especially enjoyed watching your videos during Christmas time, and wishing I was living in Norway. You both have inspired me to be creative, and take up knitting again. Thank you!
Your videos are very inspirational! I always want to knit whatever you are working on immediately after watching your videos! Thank you so much for making your wonderful videos. You both are wonderful.
I have just started crocheting since a few months.. was exploring some knitting podcasts ( even though I do not know how to knit) and stumbled into your channel. I have been “hooked” ever since 😊 both of you have such a pleasant, gentle screen presence. You both are an absolute delight to watch 😊 and one of the most dignified UA-camrs I have seen. Hope I can be as warm as you both in my later years. I’m from India 🇮🇳 and I stay in the USA.hope you enjoy your visit here in September 😊
Hi there Arne and Carlos ; How long have you guys been together . Because some of your videos are done in Norwegian and not in English. I love your videos keep them coming. Thank you guys very much . You guys are very awesome. Vida Lindner.
I love your videos. I have just finished my first Christmas Ball. I loved making it. It was also my first colorwork. I'm planning on giving them to my 5 grandchildren next year for Christmas as keepsakes. I thank you both for your inspiration.

You have inspired me to be less concerned about being perfect. Doing an crochet Afghan with several favourite colors. Every color change means a new crochet stitch. Kind of like a sampler. It ain’t perfect, but I am learning.
I really enjoy your channel, thanks! resentlyI wanted to knit a sweater with hounds tooth pattern , but no where to find it. I was wandering , if you can give us a tutorial with that pattern, I would be very thankful:)

Thanks for a great you tube channel. I enjoy your knitting, the banter between the two of you and a peak into life in Norway.
Don't worry, I don't know of anyone who keeps a neat studio who actually works in the studio. A messy studio is a busy studio. 😄
Thank you both for being you. You both do a wonderful job

hi Arne&Carlos,
I really love concept of the channel. As you say it is amazingly inspirational !!!
i'm a graphic designer and knitter by the way. I always look forward to watch your new episodes :)
thank you for that you're sharing your experiences.. lots of love from Istanbul :)
I love your story about the vintage sweater collection. Really fascinating that you found such an old Shetland sweater in Japan.
We know, very exciting.
I just love your tips and suggestions! I get so excited to try new knitting techniques after watching your videos! One suggestion for your new video: could you show us project ideas for using yarn scraps? Thanks!
Love you guys! Happy knitting!
I am truly inspired, well done. I have knitted my first fair isle hat.
You have inspired me to be less concerned about being perfect. Doing an crochet Afghan with several favourite colors. Every color change means a new crochet stitch. Kind of like a sampler. It ain’t perfect, but I am learning.
Hi Madison, yes, perfect is not the end goal! Finishing and enjoying it along the way is!
Thank you! I love watching your videos.
You both are so sweet, thanks for the channel and gratulations - first channel-birthday, wohooo :)
You can always slow the videos down to .25 speed! Just press the little 'cog' gear button and choose speed and slow it down!
Love your talent! Love your videos! Love your work! Love your yarn! Thank you!
You guys are great
As always, a pleasure.
Love your videos thank you for sharing, also love seeing you both on create and craft x
I really enjoy your channel, thanks! resentlyI wanted to knit a sweater with hounds tooth pattern , but no where to find it. I was wandering , if you can give us a tutorial with that pattern, I would be very thankful:)
Love you guys and congrats on your channel's one year mark! I really enjoy everything you post from knitting to gardening ( now I need one of those x-mas cookie irons! ) Don't apologize Arne, for knitting too fast, I enjoy watching that lovely Norwegian technique. 😁 My father taught me to knit and he was a very fast knitter as well...he would always say, "Erica, If you knit any slower you'll freeze this winter!" I know he was teasing me but at the time it made me furious...because he did such beautiful work and would always finish what he started-- no UFO's ever with dear ol' dad. 😂 Keep up the great work, stay healthy and inspired! 💖
I LOVE your videos ❤️ I have been learning new crochet stitches and would love to see more crochet from your part of the world!
Arne, I would like so much to talk and explain like you do! I am a French Canadian and it is a lot easier for me to write in English than speak. It is very difficult: I freeze! ;)
When I watch Arne knit, I click on the 'widget' bottom right on the video and slow the video speed down to .25 until I understand it. then I click on the widget to speed it back up to normal speed again....soooo easy.
Congratulations with your channel anniversary. I full support your vision. Both are such a great team.
Arne - did you knit the jumper you have on in this clip? It is so nice - I am aspiring to have such a good tension..... thank you for the inspiration.....
Bottom line: there are times when it would be great to see a video in slow motion. UA-cam offers this option, but it's not exactly out in plain sight. To adjust playback speed if you're using the Chrome browser, click the Settings icon in the lower-right corner of the playback window, then click the Speed selector. Think this is still the same -- there are videos on UA-cam on how to slow down watching them.
I think you guys are great, all very interesting. 🐨🐨
I love Arne! My dream is to knit like him.
I just watched this Q&A video as well as the video for working with the Pairfect yarns. I have purchased a ball of this yarn to make socks for a grandson. I usually knit toe-up, 2 at-a-time socks. After hearing your answer from someone asking if the yarn could be worked from the outside, I wondered if you could knit toe-up socks from the outside or backwards and have the yarn pattern work out correctly. I was thinking of winding off the yarn for one sock and using the left-behind yarn to knit two socks at once. How do you think that would work?
You're both so nice! Watching your sock videos while knitting my first top down sweater is inspiring :)
So glad I found you two, you are so wonderful!
Oh ok I want to ask 2 questions. I sometimes knit two at a time sock concurrently. Can I cake two balls of yarn pulling from centre? Also I would like to knit a cardigan in the round and steel it. Do I need to add an extra stitch or stitches in the front to do a steel? Thanks so much for your reply. Francine.
I watch your episodes at least three times! Thank You!
Thank you!
I love you both so much, you are my knitting/lifestyle heros !
