Sawasdee krub🙏 UA-cam randomly suggested your channel to me today. Thanks for sharing your videos. They were well edited and seemed like I was traveling with you especially you always said “we” instead of “I”. Surprisingly ,No.1 you can speak Thai fluently and your manner and thought are actually the same as Thai. Surprise No.2 is all the songs you put in videos since you started your journey are my favorite Thai songs. They are soothing and also match the vibe while driving/riding uphill. Welcome brother. You got a impressive Thai skill and cool music tastes, it suit your video so well. Enjoy wandering and have a safe trip. See your ins about camping, will the full version release here tho? Just asking na, no pressure to do so :)
It's Thai custom to pay respect to Buddha, Dharma and Sangha (monks) by walking clockwise 3 times round Ubosot (chapel). This practice is widespread during important Buddhist days such as Makha Pucha, Visakha Pucha and beginning of Buddhist Lent when monks are to stay in place for 3 months during rainy season. BTW, Doi Pui camp site is the cheapest for both local and foreigners as you don't have to pay the entrance fee to the national park, you pay only 30 baht (90 cents)/person to pitch your tent for one night. If you don't have a tent, you can rent one with bedding at no more than 500 baht/night.
I came across your video by chance. You speak and understand Thai very well and I heard you humming Thai songs, which means you are quite proficient in Thai. I don't know what you do for a living. But the choice of music in each part is very good. It makes me wonder if you work in the music industry. If not, then you have really good musical taste.😊👍
Binthabat This word is used by monks. It means when monks come out to receive food from people. For ordinary people, bringing food to monks is called putting food in the alms bowl (SaiBat). What the old lady explained is the belief of the villagers that is the perspective of the person who brought food to the monks. But the truth is Buddhism is teaching people to know how to share with each other. And training monks to know how to be humble and live a simple life. And the overall picture is the relationship between monks and the society of the villagers in the area.
@@sornglor555 The food we offer to monks can be anything except alcoholic beverages. Monks cannot choose their food or ask for anything from the villagers. Normal Buddhists have 5 precepts that they should follow. Monks have 227 precepts that they must follow. We respect monks because of the precepts that they must adhere to. Monks cannot choose their food because they must cut off all defilements. Choosing what they like or want is forbidden. I remember when I was ordained, I could not go and get water to drink by myself. Someone had to offer it.

Thank you! I have been following your episodes. I will be doing a solo ride to Northern Thailand and I am planning to take a sleeper train from Hatyai to Bang Sue station. I am aware that there are passenger and cargo train ( for my motorcycle). Do you think its better for me to book my train ticket in advance?
Based on what I asked the previous time, the cargo train you will most likely have slot for your bike as long as you go before 12pm (earlier the better). In that case, booking the train ticket in advance for passenger would be recommended. From Hatyai to Bangkok side not to worry, but for Bangkok to Chiangmai if you are planning to take the train. Very likely you cannot get ticket on same day or next 3days, as it is peak season for thai people to travel up as well. For that would recommend to book in advance.
Thank you for your advise. Train ticket from Bangkok to Chiangmai is not needed as I will be riding from Bangkok to Chiangmai. Look foward to your next video! Happy Riding!
