In the first episode, the saddest thing is that when ai's life was flashing before her eyes, it started when her kids were born. This showed that she didn't consider anything before that "life" she deserved so much better. The stars in the eyes are also not real, they signify someone "acting" or living a lie
Skill issue. Ai should’ve just dodged, fly kick the stalker, grab the knife, and stab him to death 187 times and then incinerate his body and feed the ashes to dead cow witch is getting eaten by maggots which are also getting eaten my birds which will also get hunted by humans and by that time you can exact the perfect revenge by eating him and it’ll have passed through so many life forms that it won’t be called canabilism. This is what she should’ve done, but I guess skill issue
I want to defend Ichigo here because I loved him in episode 1. I don't think he was a bad person at all, he seemed really nice and treated Ai like his daughter. He was just really depressed after Ai died which makes sense since he's been taking care of her since she was 12 and has basically been her only parental figure since she grew up in a home and her original parents were assholes (i think I havent read 45510 yet).
The scene of him being alone with a bottle of sake and 2 glasses hits hard. He's really looking forward to Ai's 20th birthday so they can finally drink together.
I was crying on the scene when they showed him with 2 glasses and a bottle saying 'Morizo' as Morizo was the drink he offered to Ai when they were talking about the dome and Miyako said she can't drink because she's not 20 yet and she was probably going to turn 20 on that day when he poured the 2 glasses
But still, he should be accountable for Ai's kids since he was so close to Ai, If he actually cared about Ai deeply and not just used her for his ticket to success, he would've followed through and stepped up as a parent, because that's what Ai would've wanted. He is certainly sad and depressed that Ai died but what he did was immature and selfish tbh. I haven't read the manga so I wouldn't know if he's ever going to show up again or not but regardless, I'm just glad that Miyako stepped up as a single mom, she even scarified her own desires for the kids, working her ass off in the industry to take care of them and all. She's the real MVP for me.
Yeah Aqua is a doctor in his past life But Ai's wound is a type of wound that a person will die within a few minutes so there's nothing he can do He is a doctor that's he said "sh*t!" When he saw Ai's wound because he knows its a fatal wound Calling ambulance wont make it Even if the ambulance made it she will die on the ambulance wont reach the hospital
yeah also he didnt have anything to stop the bleeding or do anything, he was stuck with her in the corridor right before the front door. theres nothing he could have done.
Even if it wasn't that lethal, he had no tools at all to work with, not even a piece of cloth, he was completely empty handed. Not just that, he was also kind of restrained by Ai hugging him.
Unqualified pre-med student turned banker here. I've never seen anyone stabbed in the abdominal aorta but it's a not uncommon thing to have something called an aortic aneurysm which is a bulge that can sometimes rupture and if it does the odds of survival are low even if you are seen right away by a surgeon. I was told that it's basically a 1 in 10 shot to live by an actual surgeon and he said most patients are struck dead by this before reaching the hospital. Basically think about getting stabbed there as being stabbed in the heart more or less. You're just a fountain of blood and mature baby couldn't have done a thing to save her.
47:35 "she's THAT upset?" yeah she's like 4 years old and was told she was super amazing and then she got completely overshadowed and realized she's not nearly that good. IDK where y'all got the idea she was 10? she's only like a year older than Aqua and Ruby.
I think the main reason that Aqua doesn't suspect Sarina is because he reincarnated almost immediately after he died, whereas Sarina has been dead for four years by that point. As to his old life, I think that while he had a successful career, he didn't seem fulfilled (hence his slacking and escapism into the idol stuff).
Just FYI, Isekai translates to "another world" or "different world". So Oshi no Ko is not an isekai manga/anime. Rather it's a reincarnation/revenge story.
basicly a korean/Chinese Isekai lol It seems those reincarnation stories are more popular in those nations media; its nice to see a media from Japan using this concept again
@@sarahlachman1349 It's popular in Japan too, it has been for along time, but only in manga/light novels format. Many old light n/manga (from around 2010-ish+) are recently getting an adptation
Ruby literally can't just search the doctor on google to find out he's dead. I'm pretty sure in the first episode Aqua searched his death on the internet and found no report of the incident, he then called the hospital to ask what they knew about the doctor situation, and they told him that the doctor just stopped going to the hospital. So long story short, other than Aqua no one knows that the doctor is dead, not even his coworkers.
@@enju3588 Might sound dumb, but that was him imagining his funeral while saying "I always thought that when people like me died they went to hell", not a real funeral. Won't really go into story spoilers, but since nobody found the body and he didn't have any close relatives to report him as missing, his coworkers assumed he just moved away without telling anyone.
@@chappieYTthing is he is declared missing and also his name is not mention in the news iirc so Ruby would not know its him or dismiss the thought even if she saw the news at least to my assumptions
Background information: In Japan, there is a popular joke about being reborn as a celebrities child. That was kinda the starting point of the manga series.
Exactly! In Japan, when popular actors and voice actors get married and discover they are expecting a child, otaku often tell the story that if they die now, they can be reborn as a baby. Of course, they are not serious.
Regarding the star eyes: The characters within Oshi No Ko never take note of them, so we can assume that they are something only we can see. Their eyes may be considered as a striking feature for others, but not because they have a literal star shape.
They mentioning the eye thing was kinna dumb too. but i understand since they aren't the usual anime watchers, they misunderstood some of the common troupes and terms too
@@maousami_It's not a good idea to pay too much attention to these details in anime, since it's just artistic expression. Since I imagine everyone knows that it is impossible for someone to have naturally blue/purple hair, to be a Japanese person without any ancestry and to be redheaded, blonde, etc, etc.
Funfact: The Drama in wich Aqua and Kana play in, is the dramatization of the Manga "I'll Go With Sweet Today" wich also appears prominently in "Love is War", apparently telling us, that these two stories take place in the same universe.
1:03:00 It's likely that Ai deliberately moved to barricade the door, as she wouldn't want Ruby to see. In the manga, it's made a little more clear that the authorities were careful to make sure Ruby never saw the scene. It would've caused much worse mental scarring. 1:19:00 One thing worth noting about Saitou is that he's the one who convinced Ai to become an idol, and was her legal guardian (making him the closest thing to a parent Ai had). That also means he was responsible for getting her killed. I don't agree with him disappearing, but I can certainly understand why. 1:19:55 Aqua brought Lara to Ichigo Productions' official address, so it wasn't some random unverifiable location. 2:04:50 Episodes 2, 3, and part of 4 chronologically took place before the last scene of Episode 1. 2:17:50 Aqua has been signed to IchigoPro since he was a wee lad. XD 2:49:00 Akane wasn't eating with the group because she's vegetarian. 4:32:30 I think "customers" was a weird translation. 4:47:30 I think the implication is that Kaburagi is introducing Aqua to La La Lai by giving him this job offer.
Akane is not a vegetarian, her mother even makes her beef curry later on in the same episode. It's a mistranslation, she means to say she's in training, and is being honourable by feeding her 'seniors' first
31:53 In Japan, Idol groups are mostly popular with adult guys, the members have to keep an innocent facade and play into the fantasies of the fans, and any relationships are strictly forbidden to not ”ruin” said fantasy. One example of this was when in 2013, AKB48 member Minami Minegishi shaved her head, apologized and pleaded to stay in her group in a video after she was discovered with a boyfriend, and has happened in other J-Pop and K-Pop groups too. (SPOILERS) Ai’s story in particular was also inspired by Mayu Tomita, who was stabbed by a stalker fan in 2016. It’s a really messed up industry to say the least. So to answer Steph’s question 33:02, it’s a very realistic depiction of young female Idol groups and their adult male fans.
3:55:07 This happened before too, but keep in mind, Ai was her stage name (by the way, real gutsy of her to user her given name for a stage name). However, no one (who is currently alive) knows her surname. Well, except the kids, the CEO (former), the CEO (current), and the kids' father.
Ichigo Saito, the former CEO, loved Ai as his own daughter best seen in the scene when he was grieving with that Morizoo sake. He even poured a second glas for Ai to share.
It's kinda cool that the B Komachi fan with the beige bandana from episode 1 came back in episode 11, I didn't realized that on the first watch but realized it now by watching this supercut, I like that y'all pause to discuss too and relate personal experiences
They keep getting Kana's age wrong lol. She wasn't ten in episode 1, and she's not eight years older than them.. She was four. Did they really see "10 seconds" and misread it as "10 years old" and stuck with that the whole time? haha
star eyes are just artistic representation that the audience sees but not the characters and it represents the ability to "lie" or to make you believe what the other says which is something quite valuable in acting. The white or black stars represents the motivations, mental state or even intentions about why they liying. So stars eyes represent talent, that's why they are not genetic
Background information #2: The story's plot are partly inspired by situations happened in real life. For example when Ai was stabbed by her "fan" it had a similarity to the stabbing attack which happened in 2016. The idol Mayu Tomita was stabbed by a disappointed fan more than 20 times after she rejected his feelings towards her. She survived that attack and her case led to a tightening of the anti stalking laws. The other scene happened in ep 6 was inspired by the suicide of a young actress in 2020. If I recall right the manga chapters of that scenario were published around half a year later when the suicide happened. The author did some investigation for the whole story interviewing different kind of well-known people in the industry as well as underground personas like underground idols, managers, streamers, actors and even the yellow press before writing the manga.
the episode 6 inspiration was based on Hana Kimura, who starred in Terrace House and had a 'controversy' because she got in an argument with another girl for damaging her clothes. Her mother made a statement that she wasn't happy how the show was profiting off of what happened to her daughter. And a bunch of truly ignorant fans of the anime started to attack and harass her online for trying to 'cancel' the show, when she wasn't trying to do that.
Crazy how the fandom watched that episode/read the chapter and is currently doing the same thing right now on Twitter to the dubbed cast. The mangaka did this to highlight how bad cyberbullying can be but yet the fandom just doesn’t care.
@@kyroking9934 I heard the fandom did the same thing to a grieving mother because of she got mad at the series for the similarities between Akanes story and the story of her daughter (which she has every right to do). She wouldn’t want her daughters stoey to be used as free writing source material and yet the fandom claims that she doesn’t understand and is just criticizing her. The fandom is clearly missing the biggest piece of the puzzle. Being that cyberbulling is bad and that she shouldn’t be doing ot, and yet they don’t care
In reference to the comments on Ep 7 about the doctor's true age, if the timeline he mentions in Ep 1 is true, he's between 28 and 30 at the time of his death. Med school in Japan is 6 years, plus a 2 year residency. He met Sarina as a resident. And Ep 1 takes place 4 years later.
btw i think it has been confirmed that kaguyas world and the oshi no ko world are the same as theres a extra oshi no ko chapter where kaguya is a photographer for ruby
also ai was stabbed in the abdominal aorta which is a very fatal area to stab someone and theres a low survival rate so aqua kinda knew there was near to no hope as people can die as early as 2 mins after the stabbing
Frill's sister appears on Kaguya's manga, I think she is Ishigami's classmate. Also some people speculate that Pieyon is the cheerleader squad captain lol but that's just a fun Fan theory.
thnak you SO MUCH for being the first reactors to share my opinion that the story about sirena (serena?) was sweet. Like... that was just cute??? idk why ppl are so determined to make it weird.
Love to hear how you guys reacted to this show, it really reassure me the message about this show. can't wait for you guys to react to the 2nd season in July
Regarding Eighth Grader Syndrome, you will hear this quite a lot as you watch anime. You probably already have, but many translation teams script it as _chuunibyou_ or just _chuuni_ to highlight its origin as a Japanese concept. Over there, middle school is the last block of education that is government mandated, so anything beyond is up to your own ability and ambition to join either high school or the work force. Thus, eight grade is one of the last moments in life that a kid is free to imagine and/or live in a fantasy world. So while you had the correct synonym when you said _Edgelord_ (the other favorite translation among the hip recent subtitlers) you had the motivation in reverse. A chuuni is not a child dreaming of being edgy because he's gotten full of himself now that he's adolescent. A chuuni is a grown-ass adult or high schooler who wastes time playing pretend like he/she used to back in 8th grade. It means someone entirely too edgy and immature for their age. You guys know Konosuba--Megumin is designed around this very stereotype. The functionally useless eyepatch that the wearer is pretending seals away marvelous powers in their eyeball, is a giant neon sign saying "edgelord here!!"
Eight-Grader-Syndrome (Chuunibyou in Japanese) is the term used, for Teenagers that extremly edgy. For example they may think they have secret knowledge about the government or other instituitions, or that they have secret magical powers. They also act these things out in a very melodramatic way, like "Oh no, my Right Arm has Dark Magical Powers! I had to seal them and every waking minute is a struggle to keep them in check, otherwise the world would be doomed!" So Aquas strange, almost theatrical behaviour would somewhat fit with Eight-Grader-Syndrome. Except he is really involved with magical powers, hehe.
Akasaka wrote a short story called "45510" (a reference to the password Ai used on her phone) written from the perspective of a former B-Komachi member setting 16 years later after Ai died. Also, the anime's opening song "Idol" is written about Ai from several perspectives (fans, media, her former band colleagues, and her own view). That song is a banger. The lyrics hit harder when you have actually seen ep 1. Yoasobi have released an English version of that song as well if you are interested in checking out. This song went viral and broke several records on the domestic market. Unfortunately, the song did not made any impact in the official Western charts, neither in the USA nor in any European charts.
@@en4833 These charts are rather meaningless as these rankings does not say anything about the actual success of that song in any official charts. Have you seen the song charting in the US Billboard Hot 100, the Canadian singles charts or in any European charts?
@@Edino_Chattino The Global excl US chart is meaningless as it does not reflect the success in certain countries. Reaching no. 1 in the this chart does not guarantee entry in the official Billboard Hot 100 (neither does no. 7 in the Global 200). I haven't seen this song ranking in the US or in any European charts. But "Idol" at least managed to rank in Singapore and South Korea (in latter the song is still on the rise thanks to several Korean idols letting this song going viral on TikTok).
1:09:14 "I thought it was going to be like Konosuba" That's more tragic that Ai's murder! ---- 4:42:25 Yeah, a stage production not a live action TV show. Some popular animes have had stage adaptation. Bleach has had at least 4. I saw one of them, it was real good. The actors were loving every minute of it.
Aqua's emotional dilemmas remind me of this manga. The male guy retains memories of his past life. In the present, he is reunited with his past life's wife who has reincarnated as a male; meanwhile his male best friend is reincarnated as a female with feelings for him. The ML is torn between his past life's memories, emotions, and the present life's ones. The ML doesn't know who he is, the Italian gladiator in the past life or the Japanese male student in the present, as well as who he likes, his past life wife or the girl in front of him right now. In the end, he realizes the young man living at the present is the real him and decides the present is the most important.
I don't want to take anything away from the emotional impact of Ai's death scene, but to think that the same writer that created Kaguya wrote that scene makes me really respect him as an artist and look forward to his work in the future. It's not easy to write a death scene that is that gut wrenching and not have it come off as pandering or melodramatic. It was incredibly poignant and all the little things she talked about wanting to see (like their school backpacks or silly praise about being a young mother) are exactly the kinds of things people say they'll regret missing. I'm so glad they took the time to setup Ai as both a very real and flawed human being and also a caring, wonderful mother, because the rest of the show pretty much presses home the idea that obsession over a person (even a wonderful one) is dangerous and toxic. I think only by making the main characters Ai's ACTUAL kids can you get away with showing how that obsession can affect them without making it seem creepy or gross. After all, who wouldn't want to solve the case of their mom's murder or follow in her footsteps?
Yeah, even the fact Ai was show "after" for a long time. Just how hard that image burns into your mind. It's incredibly real, especially since I was still after a couple of month of grieving at the time. It was painful and cathartic at the same time. I became closed off to my own emotions and Oshi No Ko was one of the shows that helped me pluck courage to search through these feeling again.
Apparently the author for this & Kaguya does sad stories on the regular. Kaguya is apparently one of the few exceptions where they deviated from their usual genre.
You probably didn't expect the reality show group to get along because shows like this usually are edited to make them look more antagonistic to each other than they actually are. As far as I know, most reality show members in real life actually do tend to get along pretty well with each other, and most of the drama is the editors and directors doing good work.
Real acting relies heavily with being genuine towards the role. Akane is the type of actor that doesn't like to be fake. She didn't put up a facade in the dating show initially because she wanted to be genuine. On the other hand, there are non-actors like the model girl who are used to faking it up on camera.
My momma had my twin sisters as a single immigrant mom at the time & still taking care of 3 of us on top of it. My older brother & I helped raise them while my mom worked and even then it was such a difficult time. Now my twin sisters are 22 & I cant imagine having twins myself after that lol
wow, Netflix is really lazy with subtitles ... especially at episode 6, they didn't even bother translating the comments properly. Every other streaming sites did it much better. Nice reactions btw!
Thank you very much!!! You guys are the first I saw that immediately understand why the reality show's crew couldn't use that wholsome footage in that situations. Great reaction.
I feel like the CEO needs some leeway. With Ai's death he lost his own will to live as well and just gave up. He couldn't handle the grief, so he quit.
Never have I ever seen an entire season of a show be reacted to in a single video. props to you, whoever edited this, and who's ever computer ran the editing software😂
That's was a good decision to not let Ruby see her mother's death. Aqua knew that Ruby would be more traumatized then Aqua. Aqua doesn't know that Ruby is a 12 year old kid but Aqua do know that Ruby is not that mature to handle that kind of Traumatic moment to see in her own eyes.
Love the commentary. Just the best of any reactors out there. As parents we have a unique viewpoint and I appreciate sharing that with y'alls perspective. Only finished your first episode, then your opening reaction with context is next. This show deeply connects to me personally. I am a paramedic, but most the villages out here call us doctors, so we'll show up to a town of 50, most haven't been to a hospital in 5-10 years, and treat and refer the entire village on a single run. I feel for the not looking for any other meaning than justice. I'd feel that same way if I died today and got a second chance, "I got my time. This is a mulligan to do what needs to be done,". Ai really relates to a couple people I knew. Liars, airy, completely drawn into a lifestyle by greedy voices around them then became amazing mothers and developed themselves. I do sincerely appreciate the detail given to Ai in the opening Idol, amazing job; especially the three perspectives, the world, the group (hints for a very very complicated web of conspirators and unwilling collaborators??), And Ai's own. I also appreciate the humor and levidy given throughout this first season, I assume of three, with the idol arch and Kana and others. Forget the introvert's name, but her arch, as eary and cringe as it is, does strike home with a couple girls I knew in highschool and I can see how messy (and for me, sympathetic), she can be. For me the show does it's characters so well and I can appreciate them as real individuals that I've known in my own life. The dive into the environment of media, those within it, the cruel, the willing footsoldiers, the good, and those in between I just adore seeing all angles. A silent voice is my favorite movie, this may be my favorite show (of any art style or genre,).
4:20:00 The news article is about the doctor's **disappearance,** not his murder/death. The doctor is currently a missing person, not uncommon in Japan, unfortunately. 😢
2:17:47 Nah he does belong to the agency. He joined back in the movie where he played the role of the creepy kid. Also, the school only lets those students who are part of an agency join.
It's 10:40AM where I am right now, and I watched this in its entirety even though I've watched the anime through once already. I love your guys' reactions to them all!!!
All your discussions about the episodes were incredibly intresting to listen to, i love the dynamic between you two! it's rare to see reactors put such deep thought into what they're saying. I feel like i've even learned a lot about various topics. Looking forward to more!
Akane's story always hits me hard. I lost one friend in 2019 and another just recently at the start of 2024. I sometimes think back and wish I could do what Aqua did and save them, even though there's nothing I could've done. Shit like that hits like a truck sometimes
The folding screen behind the two people is upside down. You can probably tell by the picture of a plum tree on it, and the orientation of the kanji written on it will indicate which way is up.
Kinda surprised that you guys haven't heard of underground idols. Suga and RM were underground rappers and Jhope was an underground dancer before joining BTS
YOASOBI also sings the theme song for "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury." If you watch the music video again after watching the anime from the prologue to episode 24, you will be moved to realize that the meaning of the video is completely different from what you had imagined. The last line of the lyric is very important in the ending of the story. You will understand and be moved by the meaning of the images just as you were when you watched the MV for "IDOL" after watching the first episode of "Oshi no ko".
2:13:59 To be fair, the first time they met, Kana did insult her mother. Usually, you wouldn't remember grudges from back when you were 5, but Ruby has too high of a mental age to just forget.
8th grader syndrome is also called chuunibyo, it's when someone acts like they can't separate fantasy and reality. A prominent example is Megumin from Konosuba (and the rest of her village except Yunyun)
Just to be clear (because Wes and Steph mentioned it several times) but "isekai" means "another world" and represents stories where the main character is sent in another world by any mean (reincarnating, transmigrating, being summoned ... or even being locked in a virtual another world). This show is not an isekai-type anime.
Just gonna be the nerd here for a moment. You guys kept saying Isekai and this isn't an Isekai, it's a "Tensei". Isekai deal with going to other worlds, Tensei is just reincarnation. So when you see Tensei Isekai in a title it's usually reincarnation and another world. Also gotta love how episode 1 makes you feel so many emotions, and you're like "No way it can make me feel this much again" and then along comes the rain.
Its interesting that many of the stuff said, which got questioned by the 2 of you, I never questioned. Like age of the idol, big mostly male otaku following because this pretty common for the idol industrie, also the youtube thing, because i understood, that youtube was still a new thing at that point of the timeline (think back 10-15 Years and youtube followings in that time) or liking his new live more than beeing a doctor, one of the jobs with the most stress, often conflicts and literally no freetime. Very different stands on so many points :D Also Eyes and Haircolors are typically used for highligting character traits or special abilities. People in The show are not seeing those eyes, green, blue and violett hair are alternate versions of Black or brown, pink and white hair are alternate versions for blond, red hair can stand for red but is more commonly an alternate for brown. Each color has typical charactertraits. Blue is for coolheaded and strong persons, green for lively or naturebound ones, pink for the main straight forward girl, red for a fiery temper, white for emotionless or edgy characters and so on ... This varies. I heared a theory that the Star is a depiction for the lie. White for a positive lie, black for a dark one (Aqua lying to himself, ruby taking up the idol) as well for the idea of a prodigy. Also a Theory that the stary galaxy eyes of Kana and sometimes ruby are a symbol for true conviction, as beeing genuine.

Yeah he was basically her father for 8 years. Of course he’d be absolutely devastated.
The scene of him being alone with a bottle of sake and 2 glasses hits hard. He's really looking forward to Ai's 20th birthday so they can finally drink together.

Yep the abdominal aorta is the main vessel that supplies blood to everything below the heart. Very vital part to be stabbed
Not only that, he's an OBGYN specifically. So while he may know what the injury was, treatment was probably outside is practice area.
He does know it's Sarina since they were babies
@@JS-kb4bk He says that she reminds him of her. He might suspect it, but he doesn't know for sure and doesn't bring it up.

Are you a manga reader? I’m asking bc I don’t want to spoil if you aren’t
@@kyroking9934 I am, so naturally I know why no one has found the doctor's body
But it showed a funeral with his picture in it though
They mentioning the eye thing was kinna dumb too. but i understand since they aren't the usual anime watchers, they misunderstood some of the common troupes and terms too
the star eyes are Ai's lies, no? So when the kids have one eye covered you can tell if they're following the lie of an idol.
its because people used to say celebs had stars in their eyes, like a sparkle that sets them apart from normies
Funfact:
The Drama in wich Aqua and Kana play in, is the dramatization of the Manga "I'll Go With Sweet Today" wich also appears prominently in "Love is War", apparently telling us, that these two stories take place in the same universe.
"Ill go with sweet today" sounds more serious with stalker. I haven't seen any stalker in Love is war though
@@RIMURUxTEMPEST0 Because they just skimmed over the Plot Points in Love is War, to have the foundation to do the Shoujo Styled Episode.
XD
2:49:00 Akane wasn't eating with the group because she's vegetarian.
4:32:30 I think "customers" was a weird translation.
4:47:30 I think the implication is that Kaburagi is introducing Aqua to La La Lai by giving him this job offer.
Akane is not a vegetarian, her mother even makes her beef curry later on in the same episode. It's a mistranslation, she means to say she's in training, and is being honourable by feeding her 'seniors' first
@@DrSpunge I think she was just watching what she ate, and being careful. Since she was also feeding everyone else.

3:55:07
This happened before too, but keep in mind, Ai was her stage name (by the way, real gutsy of her to user her given name for a stage name).
2:04:42 the thought of you guys thinking ruby and aqua does this same morning routine everyday is so funny to me😭😭💀
It's kinda cool that the B Komachi fan with the beige bandana from episode 1 came back in episode 11, I didn't realized that on the first watch but realized it now by watching this supercut, I like that y'all pause to discuss too and relate personal experiences
It was more clear in the manga that it was the same guy, because he had another scene inbetween two chapters in the first volume.
Episode six honestly had the most intense scene for me from the series so far aside from episode one when Ai died, hits like a truck

Akane and Arima having a shonen rivalry based on imagining the other as a towering juggernaut of fame and success is the best possible thing

also ai was stabbed in the abdominal aorta which is a very fatal area to stab someone and theres a low survival rate so aqua kinda knew there was near to no hope as people can die as early as 2 mins after the stabbing

3:59:00 Dude saved two shows for that producer, of course the producer will give all info he has
Eight-Grader-Syndrome (Chuunibyou in Japanese) is the term used, for Teenagers that extremly edgy. For example they may think they have secret knowledge about the government or other instituitions, or that they have secret magical powers. They also act these things out in a very melodramatic way, like "Oh no, my Right Arm has Dark Magical Powers! I had to seal them and every waking minute is a struggle to keep them in check, otherwise the world would be doomed!"
So Aquas strange, almost theatrical behaviour would somewhat fit with Eight-Grader-Syndrome.
Did not make an impact? It was the most listened to song in the world excluding the U.S., and seventh in the world including the U.S.
@@en4833 These charts are rather meaningless as these rankings does not say anything about the actual success of that song in any official charts. Have you seen the song charting in the US Billboard Hot 100, the Canadian singles charts or in any European charts?
@@derweeblord It was actually No.1 on Billboard GLOBAL(Excluding U.S.)

Yeah, a stage production not a live action TV show. Some popular animes have had stage adaptation. Bleach has had at least 4. I saw one of them, it was real good. The actors were loving every minute of it.
3:48:21
So that’s why Ai was so adamant on turning 20. Her idol career could end naturally, and Ai could finally raise her twin children properly.

Akasaka's way of writing character is pure genius, the more I look into psychology the more respect I have for him
Apparently the author for this & Kaguya does sad stories on the regular.

That's was a good decision to not let Ruby see her mother's death. Aqua knew that Ruby would be more traumatized then Aqua. Aqua doesn't know that Ruby is a 12 year old kid but Aqua do know that Ruby is not that mature to handle that kind of Traumatic moment to see in her own eyes.
what you might not have noticed is, the dance aqua did, is the same one her and ruby did for AI when she sang at the underground stage.
Kaguya was actually a break from writing dark stories for the creator

Also gotta love how episode 1 makes you feel so many emotions, and you're like "No way it can make me feel this much again" and then along comes the rain.
okay im glad im not the only one who cried so much on episode 1's ending
Its interesting that many of the stuff said, which got questioned by the 2 of you, I never questioned. Like age of the idol, big mostly male otaku following because this pretty common for the idol industrie, also the youtube thing, because i understood, that youtube was still a new thing at that point of the timeline (think back 10-15 Years and youtube followings in that time) or liking his new live more than beeing a doctor, one of the jobs with the most stress, often conflicts and literally no freetime. Very different stands on so many points :D
Also Eyes and Haircolors are typically used for highligting character traits or special abilities.
