Butterfly, Double Butterfly, Triple Butterfly, Turtle Style, Dragon Style, Tiger Style, God Style (Monk), Slash Shot, Half Step, Half Half Step, Flash Step, Double Flash Step, Forbidden Step, Reload Half Half Slash Shot Butterfly etc.. This was literally the only game in history that you would legit practice your techniques. It was 100% skill based and was the most intense pvp game that has ever dropped. My hands will NEVER forget. The muscle memory is engrained. I could play this game again right now after more then a decade and start doing K-Style immediately. You would go into a private match and just practice techniques for hours. Then show off to your friends your ability to never have your feet touch the ground. This all came out around the time The Matrix came out, so you can imagine how popular Gunkata was at the time.
We had a new student in 6th grade from South Korea. He quickly became one of my best friends.. and Id go over to his house some times and just watch him play Gunz (which would have only been a 2 yr old game at the time) And I was so impressed by his keyboard skills. He was also phenomenal on the piano. I didnt play but man this game has alot of nostalgia for me as well in a weird way.

Could never get the tbf down. This was my first real pc game back when i was like 8. Now 18 years have passed and the only thing that gave me a similar feel as to how much skill is involved is Fortnite (Build Mode). Idk how it would work but, if these to games got married i would only need that.

Too bad all the good players like myself stopped playing and it’s all pservers now. You’re not bad banksie. I was always in the number one clan when gunz was at its peak. Started off in Ocean for a few months then I was in Sparta for the whole time. I was kRoNo by the way. If you know about the best clans then you must know Sparta,flower,anathema,basic, those are just the ones I remember. I just can’t take private servers serious. A lot of UCers started coming and everyone just really messed the game up
