This brings so much good memories...Saw them twice : in 98 in Toulouse, and in 2009 in Marseille. Without Massive Attack, the music scene would have been so different...They are simply above "Trip Hop", "Cold Electro Wave" or some others categories...One of the bands that really changed my life for sure...
Massive Attack was a reference in the music industry...But the last album "Heligoland" didn't match "Mezzanine" for sure. It was not bad at all, but not striking though...I am wondering if the band will ever record an other album in the future...
+Oumayma Garess Oh really ! Cheers for the information ! I am living in the South, I will check if there is any planned date in Marseille. Tricky should be part of this new album if I remember a short subject I saw on TV 2 years ago mentionning that he will record with the band. Looking forward to hearing the stuff then !
@@olyalebeduk1721 "NoJK" ? Don't get it ! Actually, I saw the band a third time in July 2018 at the Roman Arena in Nîmes... It was too short (about 1 hour and 30 min) and some rappers guys joined them on stage... I was a bit disappointed for sure !
Atlas Air… How do you manage to produce such a dense wall of sound while simultaneously remaining incredibly atmospheric and light? Absolutely stunning… Truly breathtaking!
I don’t believe in god, but thank god that this particular set has been captured on audiovisual - and edited to perfection - so that future generations may glimpse through a window in time and awe at what great music played live can sound like.
All my life I will be repenting because they came to Bogota-Colombia some years ago, but I cannot go to their concert. Really this opportunity I doubt that I will have again; however, I never will let to see this video, is marvelous, thank you by share it.
i might sound old but this is a show! not much compares to a Massive Attack. really thoughtful, well executed, political, talented. hope they are discovered by younger musicians and someone takes the torch. LOVE EM!
Whoever the singer is standing in for Shara Nelson during Unfinished Sympathy brought a tear to my eye. She TOTALLY owned the song. Props to her. Well worth a listen, a beautiful soulful performance.

To watch 3D Del Naja explode during Atlas Air by DANCING no less was truly blissful. Usually subdued and calm, this ending to the show gave me the chills.
Unbelievable, I've seen them two twice at Bucharest (2008 and 2010) ... still feel that amazing experience ! From this video, United Snakes and Atlas Air are purely "mind blowing"
"safe from harm" is probably one of the best musical "clones" IMO. awesome version! the original is by billy cobham, to find on his first solo-album "spectrum" from 1973 and is called "stratus". with BC played tommy bolin+ (g), jan hammer (kbds), and the unbelievable bass-riff is played by leland sklar. and - the whole album was recorded in 2 (!) days at electric lady.
Everything old is new again. Safe from Harm is easily one of my favorite Massive Attack tunes. I just listened to the song Stratus on Billy Cobham's debut album... WOW, just fucking wow! Tommy Bolin was dead barely 3 years later. And Leland Sklar's bass rift is straight up out of this world.
I saw them live this same year in Brazil, and it's true, the whole scenario is a msut seen, so to film them in close ups is not the best way to feel and sense a Massive Attack concert. Anyway, it's a shame they didn't release their concerts in DVD yet. And Martina is such a great singer and such a lovely person! After the concert she came to the audience, took pictures and signed cds for us, even looking very tired after all!
Oh man. Get to see them live if you can. Fucking amazing band, consistently cranking out great music for 25+ years. Even better live than on disk. #Go Bristol. #MassiveHeartOn
I need a(nother) Massive Attack gig so bad...been some years since the last one. Please come back to Portugal. Thousand of big fans here, always a safe harbor for MA.
I believe we will remember massive attack in 40 years, like we remember now the great band of yesterday. We will remember this epicness, those great songs and artists. When my childs will ask me about the music from the 2000', i will answer Massive Attack. This live is just....amazing. Wish i could be there.

A simple woman, I am. I can work with all these deutsche Spruchbänder, I understand, why. My language is, can be, hard. That's what I love about this band. About Massive attack. Absolute musicality. Yeah!
Saw this tour in Orlando. Dream come true to see these guys. Did not dissapoint. One of the best gigs I've ever seen. I Tricky in O-town as well during the Pre-Millenium tension tour. Bad ayss!
