I was 58 years old when I saw them at the 2008 Paleo Festival. But in front of me was a really old, white haired lady with a zimmer frame. Sensational, generation busting show from a sensational band at the peak of their powers - which they still are.
Been to this show. Maybe the best inmusic lineup ever. Massive Attack. Billy Idol. The Flaming Lips. Alice in Chains. LCD Soundsystem. Morcheeba. !!! (Chk Chk Chk) Pendulum
I never discovered Massive Attack until later in life,I'm 70 years old now,I wish I had discovered them much earlier any way here I am tonight watching their concert from the in music festival of ten years ago and their stuff is just as good then as it is now. Their Music is absolutely mind bending. Rock On Massive Attack fans around the world, young or old,it doesn't matter, just enjoy while you can still hear. Regards, Doug Hughes (Williamstown Nth,Australia)
All I can say Doug, is get tore into the back catalogue bud, and enjoy, the Bristol scene in England was amazing, try Portishead, maybe a bit of Tricky also, Tricky played on the first Massive album then done some very interesting solo work, I'm delighted you found this band, age is no barrier to good taste as you have proven mate. 👏👏👏
Re : My Earlier comments regarding this Massive Attack Concert, Up until twelve years ago,I used to get very drunk on a weekend of course to get a high that I get from listening to this music, except now I get a natural high without the hangover the next morning, how good is that. Regards, Doug Hughes😇
Massive Attack son muy, pero muy buenos; y si te hicieron "volar el cerebro" te vas aquedar sin el si escuhas la banda ARCHIVE; del mismo estilo, pero en mi opinion, mas extraordinarios
I can tell I’m going to love this one especially because it’s the era of Heligo Land. Massive Attack are so brilliant for staying as a large collective of artists. It’s not ever about one person.
Holy cow united snakes is soooo freaking nice. The building up of the song and the energy it produces on stage RESPECTI will see them back this year iN August here in Belgium can' t wait! It's been too long! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow wow wow ,every time absolutely amazing unique beautiful experience, there music sends me into a different dimension every time I listen(daily😀). Thanks guys 😘✌️
Re: My previous reply regarding the Massive Attack Cocert. I have heard Portishead before infact I still listen to them but I have'nt heard of Tricky before,I'll have a listen to them later today. Regards, Doug Hughes
I'm 62 years old and can't get enough of this band wish I found them in the 80' or the 90'd was listening to style council or those two brothers that were always fighting ,,,,,,ugh ugh
One massive issue with them is the choice of vocalists. They are mostly tone deaf. Their Studio albums, and Mezzanine of course sound out of this world, but hearing their part time singers live is awkward. Still one of my major acts, with Björk, Depeche Mode, from that era. I still can’t figure out, how they produce Mezzanine, maybe they have contacted Aliens through samplers.
The last thing I would like is for MA to turn into an alternative rock band and that happened, there is no more soul or reggae influence, .... I don't like the choice of songs, if I noticed correctly there are no songs from the album Protection, Teardrop sounds desperate
I don't know how they change their mood from one song to the next ,from weird to calm, very interesting, mind blowing, twisting your head around ,i love it

Atlas Air ... Roberts singing on the baseline ... like an obsession.
