Glad you didn't tear off a front bummer or punch a hole in your fuel tank coming up out of there with that dozer. OUCH. Stay safe & roll easy. Peace 🇺🇲
Nick, it’s never worth breaking your equipment to pick up a load , there is no reason they could have not walked that little tractor out to a better spot even if they had to skid a log over and side load it.
I’ve got a laundry list of questions. Always good to see someone chasing there dreams. With that setup I would be figuring out how to raise my bags. Like all of them. Your setup is supposed to make life easier. The pros have deceiving tricks around issues created with such a set up.

I meant to tell you the best thing i found to do before going in a unknown farm was stop before i got there, and use satellite view on Google Maps or what you have and gets a birds eye view before you even pull off the pavement. Saved me a lot of times.
bro i would have told the dude you was picking the dozer up from to drive the dozer up to the road and load it up there noway i would have taken that beautiful KW down that hill or if you were forced with no other choice to take it down the hill i would have said "take this job and shove it" not worth the dmg it would/could do to the truck
Dang Nick gettin it, 🤣🚛👍🇺🇸 hey Nick up there on the 90 by Snoqualmie exit 63 cabin exit there's a dirt lot you can park over night. And there is excellent riding up the fire roads and trails there. 👍🚛🇺🇸
I’ve always had a tuff time getting a load out of that area as well! The only way I take those loads that way is if it pays well enough for me to take a lower pay load a few hundred miles to a better area🙏
Nick you have no business driving on a dirt lane with a low riding Kdub you'll rip the bumper off along with other things it's definitely not good on your equipment I'd tell them you get it to a main road you'll haul it bro. Be SAFE happy trails🤙🇺🇸🤙
Seeing that road/trail in, I would have stopped and walked in the rest of the way, first to see if there was a place to even turn around. Then, seeing the situation, would recommend that they drive that little machine back up to the road you were first at. Much easier to load there, and get on your way.
Shoulda drove the dozer out to you...Did the load pay for your tires ??? I don't know how you guys truck now, I've been retired for 11 years, after 35 years of driving, good luck.
An experienced driver would have selected diff lock before getting stuck and an experienced driver would have loaded dozer all the way forward until was at a place where traction was not an issue then moved back to correct load point, just saying, but I guess that doesn't make UA-cam content 😉
Well lad, I’m sure I’ll be called a ‘hater’ again but, the first time I posted a comment, I mentioned the fact that your truck would have problems off highway. I hear you are considering an RGN?!?!?! Not with that truck! I think if we met, we could be friends, and if I could train you for a couple of years, you could be a good hand. Remember, its not a party with “the boys”, it’s a BUSINESS!! Be safe lad.
There is NO WAY I would've drove into load that Dozer, obviously it runs so why didn't you make them drive it out of the woods to load so you wouldn't beat the Hell out of your truck.
Plenty of arm chair quarterback s and "professional drivers" telling you what you did wrong, and i am not trying to be that guy....but like another commented it is business, and this is a great example of "chrome dont get you home". The wheel base, the low bumpers, tanks, tool boxes, and the fender that will be ruined when that tire comes apart are all beautiful, but that situation could have gotten real bad, real fast. And 1200 bucks mighthave been 10% of the cost of getting back on the road in wrecker bills, busted rears, a clutch and and transmission. You obviously know now that its the best time you could have spent walking in first, and if no other option and in that situation, id much rather have to back it in than back it out if you got down in there and couldnt turn around. Dont ever take a brokers word on that kind of thing - it is YOUR TRUCK and you are 100% responsible for everything when you own it. If you are going to succeed in trucking, slowing down and thinking it out ahead of time is just as important as knowing whats in your blind spot when youre driving. I hauled a bulk feed trailer in and out of commercial chicken farms for a long while with a 379 Pete, and it meant i had to run tall rubber, a regular front bumper and just 1/4 fenders because of the conditions i had to deal with in bad weather. By the time you buy a tire and pay your fuel bill, you spent 36 hours and made less than if you were driving someone elses truck. But all you can do is remember what you learned and keep moving forward. Its good to see a young man trying your best to make a go of it, and i wish you nothing but safe miles and success. Just being honest with you about what you are facing if you plan on being in it 5 years from now. There are plenty of guys with 30 years experience who are against the wall trying to be profitable in this business with 5.00 fuel, and everything against you.
When you book a load with brokers do you negotiate a better freight rate? Never take a load for what they have it posted for, always get more money out of the brokers. If they won't come up on the rate, pass on the load. Fuel is $5 loads paying $2 isn't cutting it these days.
It amazes me that people get mad for him working the truck. Are you a driver that does as much driving across country as he does? If so I’m sure in your years you have came across unfortunate situations that put you in a bad spot. Instead of crying about it, he went ahead and did what he needed to just to get the job done. He doesn’t owe anyone anything by keeping the truck clean when paying the bills is first priority. I know he tries to clean her when he can, but this guy travels thousands of miles weekly hauling non stop loads and putting the truck to work. I hope your daily dose of toxic has been filled by taking the time out of your day Hating and talking trash and saying the truck saying it looks like crap.
