Part of me wants to go back on the road, but I love being home with my girls more often. Missed a lot as a LEO for 32 years, did some time on the road after I retired to clear my head and enjoy the country. If I had a ride like that may have enjoyed the OTR time more. Congrats.
Still on the job with 26 years. Been trying to talk the wife into trucking since I love being on the road and the same reasons you had Ricky. Nick, keep up the great work! Beautiful truck
It definitely helps with being on the road and knowing you got a clean rig!😂 but I enjoy it but I only got 5 years under my belt so I still got a lot to learn😅
Hey Nick you have an EGT gauge (pyrometer) ? Should keep an eye on that climbing those hills, if you dont would be a good idea to do so. Another thing, you should add a small mud flap on the right side of the stairs so your tanks dont get that dirty. To save the paint as much as possible

Beautiful subsets and sunrises out in Arizona from the looks of it bud🙂 my cousin and uncle are both truck drivers and both love running that area. I have always wanted to see the grand canyon, it looks cool😎. Keep them videos coming sir!
I’ve delivered several times inside Grand Canyon National Park itself. You must park in a staging area and wait for a Native American Officer to escort you inside the park to the job site spot. He instructed me to leave the park gas soon as I was unloaded because commercial vehicles are not allowed in the park. I rebelled and went on a little sight seeing tour. The officer found me at a viewpoint taking pictures. He was patient and polite but instructed me to go back to the staging area for trucks and walk back into the park. It’s an amazing place
Sweet !!! I though maybe you bought trailer and motorcycle also ! Lol met that’s guy once in Wisconsin. Got to see that rig live . Amazing truck my friend congratulations
Not sure if you do but run distilled water with your antifreeze . Helps it run Abit cooler .A really low cowl on top of the hood or vents on the sides to let that heat out faster or if you got the money to have a custom radiator built. Anyways keep on styling .
Water naturally absorbs heat much better than glycol/antifreeze. We only add antifreeze to keep our blocks from freezing in cold weather, if it wasn’t an issue all manufacturers would run 100% distilled for max cooling
@@TidalSnow1 you are absolutely correct. That is one of many many things that are directly in front of a guy their whole life and didn't see. Nice job sir .
Yes, exactly Tyler. I don’t know how a man walks from the diner out to his truck and gets in it and drives it if he isn’t proud of it. The ugly equipment on the road now is tough on the eyes. Met an owner operator this week in Albuquerque who has never washed his tractor. Told me the rain washes his tractor. I carry a hose, bucket, they brushes, and mitts to wash my tractor. But I’m obsessed with clean. I never deliver in a dirty truck. Even in poor weather my truck is clean when I deliver. I probably need a little therapy.
It happens. Bought a new tractor and forgot to transfer straps into new tractor tool box. Arrived at saw mill to load with zero straps. The other drivers there gave me old straps, and wouldn’t take money. We take care of each other out here.
Hey Nick it would be great when you buy a new truck you do a walk around like motor trans etc an why you changed etc....when you break down give some details trucking is no secret 😅
I enjoyed your video, great scenery beautiful truck, but why is it so long.? It must make your job difficult at times. In the UK and Europe we have rules on vehicle overall length which mean standard tractor trailer combinations must be close coupled to meet.Happy New Year
Thank you! And yes it’s a little too long but I like it and really haven’t had to much trouble with it! It’s good for those oversized long loads also and the ride is way better!
I haul glue laminated beams with 20 ft. overhang in the back and 10 ft. overhang on the front. The length of the tractor is to accommodate over length loads. America is a big place with big roads. I took a:stop sign out on my right while turning left because beams extend out from the front of my trailer.
That incline where your truck shut down on you is pretty steep. I've travel that a few times myself. If your ever in kemmerer wy. Would like to meet up.
Maybe try paying a little more attention to your gauges and being a owner operator and less time on filming and looking at the scenery. Maybe replace that pyrometer too with all that money your making and get that oil leak fixed. You gotta take care of the truck that takes care of you that's where your money needs to be invested not ski trips and snowboarding
