I remember my dad's co-worker showed up in one and our house between Calgary and Cochran around 1993. I think his was white. Interesting looking cars even today, I like them
It was held in the Roundup Centre. So cool to see. Thanks for sharing this footage. I attended every show since it first began in 1984 (I think). I had a GLH Turbo a few years after this was shot. Man, it was awesome.
What cool footage. I would've been only about 1 year old when this was filmed. Interesting that the Fiero GT at this show is a 1985 model. The 1986 GT version changed to a fast-back body style. The 1985 GTs were very cool though as being the only GT year with that notchback (I had a silver 1985 2M4 during the mid 2000s & a black 1986 2M4 briefly in 2011).
I think we have very similar taste in cars. The kit cars at the beginning don't interest me much but every other car you showed is one I would like to have in my dream garage. Great taste and I can tell you like performance cars!
I was 3 years old living in Edgemont Calgary at the time. We had a 1987 Jetta and a 1985 Jetta, not very interesting right? In a few years time we bought a brand new Dodge caravan from Cochrane Dodge. When we sold the house in Edgemont to move to the Cochrane area with the guy that bought our house was moving out of Hong Kong before the Chinese takeover and measured our garage to make sure his dream car would fit before he bought the house. It was a 1992 or so Cadillac Fleetwood! He said you can't have a car that big in Hong Kong and he always wanted one so he wanted to make sure he would be able to have one in Alberta.
I have a 1985 Pontiac 6000 STE identical to the light blue one in the background at 9:49. This video made my day!

Cars sure were a lot more interesting back then. Thanks for the video

Love the Dodge Omni GLH!! That’s one you don’t see anymore
At that show in Calgary, it was inconceivable that I could afford a 930 turbo. 40 years later I have one in my garage.
We all had 911 and Countache posters growin up

Great video! Nowadays, car shows are more like people show than a car show!
Thank you 👍

Excalibur. My buddy got to work on one that belonged to a certain disgraced fashion mogul here in the Peg 😂
Well dang. I would have been two
I wonder if any of these cars are still around in pristine condition?
They didn’t have the only super car of the time back then?
My father might have been there, I’m not too sure
Aerostar.
