It's too bad Blizzard didn't have the balls to let Jaina's plan succeed. It would've been the perfect chance to replace the long standing Alliance/Hoard dynamic. There would've been so many possibilities. Instead, we just got more of the same.
Toll of Seasons in my game (first game since Dragons first came out) was a complete non-issue. First it spawned in the lands of someone I was at war with, then it moved to my Ally's capital city. My Ally then, for reasons I cannot discern, just kept pursuing my wars and my bounties rather than ever defending his capital, which dwindled from 20 to 1 Population by the time I finished killing all non-allied opponents. It was honestly weird to see the AI just allow its *capital city* to wither away and perpetually lie besieged.
If the Toll of Seasons goes after the AI, I think they just kill the Scourge and move on, so it will always reappear somewhere else. As for your Ally, that might have been an unintended consequence with Bounties. If an AI accepts a Bounty, they tend to put their whole being in to accomplishing it, but I've never seen one abandon its Capital to do so. 😅
If you're referring to Awakening, the Sun Priests used to have a single-target Awaken skill, and the T3 Awakeners had the Double Awakening. I think around the time of Empires & Ashes they swapped them around and gave Heroes Double Awakening for their Support Skill. It was a good change. 😊
Hmm, that's a good question. For gameplay, it's pretty much Anything + Materium, since Materium has so many great economy-related traits. My lore choices change entirely based on what I'm playing, but Astral + Shadow is always a fun evil Archmage aesthetic.
@@Fableheim for me it’s Nature and Matierium for lore and a obvious reason. For gameplay I’d have to go Nature and Astral just because the kind of fey gameplay you can do.

Why is it that if you click on "tell me of this threat" you do not, in fact, get any additional information about the threat?
I've always clicked that response but I think it's what gives you a timer? I'm not sure tbh
Hero skill, that gives all ranged units Mark is from High Culture Tome, all Culture Tomes give 3 skills.
That's both a pretty good skill and not one I'd expect the High Culture to have. 🤔

@@Fableheim No it is the terrain under city, every city background is governed by it, so if you terraform it, it will change the background.

@@Fableheim I almost felt bad, but it was decidedly not my problem and I had an abundance of Mana to throw at Bounties.

Actually I have an interesting question what are your favorite affinities to mix together both for gameplay and lore.
