I've had the chance to use this table a couple of times now. It's fun to whip out in front of people:) I can see what people are talking about when they say the legs are delicate, but they're design to support a "mostly" vertical load, not be torqued from the side or pushed back into place. If you just let the table open or close on it's own and don't force anything, it works great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh Once it's set up, it's pretty solid. My only gripe would probably be related to the clamps provided. They're not the highest quality. They do the job, so no big deal, but they could be better. All in all, pretty cool gadget.

I built this bench with some minor modifications. This video, along with the other on the wagon vise, really helped explain the installation of the vises. I found a great article on cutting Condor Tails, which are the very large dovetails on the wagon vise in a back issue of popular woodworking. Cutting the " Chop", which is the large recess cut out for the leg vise was made much easier with that same set up of the large guide bars supporting the fences on either side of the router. It is not an inexpensive or quick project but well worth your time. Guido's skill is exceptional and the video makes the process much easier.
Wow after seeing the vice in action (3 years after it was posted haha) I fully understand the advantage of the steel wheel. It may be a little while until we can get a vice of this caliber into our shop, but i have no doubts that it is a must! I even dreamt that there was one on my bench!
Why are these selfish guys coming out here & pointing down on this guy that has spent time, his own money to put out theses great videos, ? My question is this ,Is it because they know it and do not wants us pay them to buy it from them, or they they don't people like me to know?
Beautiful workmanship, great care in fixturing for best results. Are there drawings / plans? And parts lists? And, forgive me for asking for so much, but I'd like to also know more about the drilling tool (arms, etc,). Thank you for the time, effort, and inspiration (seeing great work).
Hello! Besides the great idea, also I enjoyed the drill holder which is shown in the video. It would be possible to send information on this support or the link to your manufacturer? thanks
Congratulations, There are many professionals unable to afford such equipment from the video, now they will be happy to make their own equipment, forcing the industry to sell cheaper.
Over 1yr later and I still don't know the name of the drill in the wabecco stand. I'm looking to purchase that stand but would like a good accurate drill to purchase for it, so please, if anyone has any idea, would you please leave a comment. Thank You.
Very nice, but you need some fancy toys to make that toy, and that hardware is top-o-line. I did a much less complex and expensive leg vise on my channel, but I will say yours is the most fanciest of the fancy pants leg vise designs!
+Schorschiism That is a fantastic drill press. The first one I've seen so far that I can actually use over the side of the bench to drill into a door or large frame.
Guido, Bitte, where do you source the aluminium chanel us use in your frastich build I have a sister coming from German in 2 weeks she might bring some pieces
Hello , good afternoon . I'm from Brazil and I wonder where I can find the support of the drill machine used in the video. I await your response. Thank U.
Hello Great Video, you are very talented! What is the name and brand of drill press/stand that you are using with this Protool drill please ? Also what model is this protool drill? Thanks
Hey partner, you can show a 5 second clip of a milling operation and the viewer will infer the operation was longer than shown on screen. No need for exhaustive coverage of routing. 😅 Good work nonetheless!
Agreed. Similar the endless routing footage was pointless. If you're going to make someone watch, at least get in closer so they can actually see the router cutter and what it's cutting, as opposed to the entire router moving in something you can't see because of the camera angle!
I cant believe i will have to use a tap, lol... but all that aside i cant wait to install it and use it, building my first real work table. If i have to use a tap, I have to use a tap, I have them lol curious about those drill presses though.
Tapping a hole with a hand held drill motor is not the best, even though the holes were drilled perpendicular by the drill press. As seen, the hand drill will wobble cutting irregular weaker threads. Also, a tap will not always track straight in the hole just because the hole is true. It would be better to have a variable speed motor in the drill press and use that to run the tap into the hole if possible. I use a drill press for drilling and then tapping into wood or steel. After drilling the holes I remove the belt and turn the pulley by hand.

Besides the great idea, also I enjoyed the drill holder which is shown in the video.
It would be possible to send information on this support or the link to your manufacturer?
thanks
It's a wabecco
Great video man!! Bravo
That was brilliant. Thank you.
The drill stand is from Wabeco. They have a website. I am almost certain the drill itself is Fein.
Nice work. Speed set at 1.5 makes it easier to watch , and the music is more lively ! :-)
For real good threads fill holes with boiled linseed oil, keep full for 24 hours. Threads will cut and be strong after 24 hours.
Congratulations, There are many professionals unable to afford such equipment from the video, now they will be happy to make their own equipment, forcing the industry to sell cheaper.

on Wabeco website the stand has a couple different drills pictured. One says Kress and that looks close tot he drill in the video.
Hey friend. It's like watching paint dry !!! But good work

Does anyone know what the name of the drill being used on the wabeco stand is?
Why do I feel like I'm on-hold with the cable company?

Please tell me about your drill press/drill holder.
Very nice. Where can I bay this vise set.
What kind(brand) of drilling machine did you use in this video? It looks like very precise.

Has anybody had any luck trying to order the drill holder? I searched on Ebay USA but they don’t have it, it seems there it’s only sold over seas

¿donde venden esto?, ¿como comprar esto?
What kind a stand for your drill you have?
Us poor guys who can't afford Festool just use a tail vise with the old-fashioned leg support and it works just as well.
Hey partner, you can show a 5 second clip of a milling operation and the viewer will infer the operation was longer than shown on screen. No need for exhaustive coverage of routing. 😅 Good work nonetheless!
Very good job..
What kind of drill press have u used?

I like the endless routing footage as it shows something not usually included in videos, good technique over the length of the project.
there's a volume down button in you device, if you bother to press it !
Top craftsman, looks like good quality. It's just the music I hate, it's like an ear worm.
I wonder how much the woods itself cost.....
a good job, you do not have a manual with the dimensions to build the table, thanks.
Bravo
I cant believe i will have to use a tap, lol... but all that aside i cant wait to install it and use it, building my first real work table. If i have to use a tap, I have to use a tap, I have them lol curious about those drill presses though.

schenkt dem Guido mal einer ne CD mit hörbarer, gema-freier Musik?
What drilling setup are you using at 12:00?
Fantástico!
I would of used a larger tap and more of a buttress thread. That looked around 8mm fine, fat too puny for wood.
