    I like how open everything is. All the windows are nice and make the school feel more spacey. My school doesn't have windows because it's too big, so all the windows are reserved for offices, and our color scheme is red and black, which is awful for everyone's aura lol. Anger and death

    Here in Canada, more specifically western canada our school system is made just to simply flush you in and out.
    Japanese schools feel less temporary, like a place you go and enjoy more so (or made to feel) that's why they have more school activities and clubs and all that kind of stuff.
    For me its pretty much go to school 9am-3pm 5 days a week, with occasional days off and seasonal breaks. After school I typically go to work, or hang out with friends.
    Both systems seem like it would take time getting used to, but also once familiar would feel quite natural.
    12 years of school then moving onto secondary does seem pretty easy if you ask me :) and being able to take courses your interested in will also make things a lot funner.

      I'm really surprised at your school hours, I live in America (although only ten minutes away from the Canadian border) and the school hours are from 7:00am-2:30pm, but can go longer depending on if you do afterschool clubs and stuff. You're right about the Japanese schools feeling more home-like, I never noticed it before! :o

      Anime Central .Personal Try having an 8-420 schedule plus dual enrollment for two more hours. Plus my school has over 20 different clubs and over five sports. We have this pseudo major we pick before 9th grade (say you are interested in chemical biology or graphic arts, you'll sign up for that major and be enrolled in related classes for all your time) and it's designed to prepare you for university. Your schedule sounds like a breeze and I'd gladly switch with you.

    These people (in the comment section) watched too much anime so they wanting to live there. I bet you don't even understand how school system in Japan works or how much work you have to deal with.
    learn the difference between reality and cartoon.
    I started my school in Asia, i assume Japanese school is similar as any other School in the East Asia, i also continued my school life in Europe, it was totoally different experience. School in Europe is much more chill, many breaks, less strict and less work and you don't have to spend almost half a day at school like we did.

    • @projects520
      @projects520 4 роки тому +2

      Actually anime only exaggerates a tiny bit ( I know how school works in Japan), Portraying high school is easy because the creator most likely experienced it first hand

    • @theredneckbuddha2763
      @theredneckbuddha2763 4 роки тому

      @@projects520 I'd agree, and as someone who has friends doing the JET Programme as well as speaking with a transfer student at my school here in the states, things aren't TOO much different in anime as it is in real school. Now of course every day isn't always sunny and ethereal, but most of the same concept applies.
      And I'm not going to criticize OP for calling anime "cartoons", but I'd watch something like Another, Shiki, or Attack on Titan before calling anime a cartoon, because I find it hard to compare blood and gore to that of Chowder or Regular Show.

    Nine months ago I watched this video because it was in the related videos of some 80s music (I dont know why lol) But I also applied to be an exchange student with YFU Japan after watching all your videos and I got a scholarship to go!This inspired me to become an exchange student and now I'm just counting down the days until my departure!My point is to say this was not a waste of time for me and thanks for sharing videos of your exchange because it changed my life I'm sure there are others too!

    I completely agree with you. I happen to be a fan of anime, but I don't let that interfere with my image of Japan. I really appreciate the beauty and complexity of the culture and I am really eager to learn more about it, so I can have a better understanding, and one day it's my dream to visit. This fall I'm taking a Japanese language course in college and I'm really excited not just to learn the language, but about the culture. Some anime fans/foreigners give us all a bad name

    This is a really cool video to see your school. I knew the Japanese school year is different than an American one (start in April end in March, summer break is usually late July until September, winter break starts around December 24th etc). It was actually interesting to learn that there is a summer school for the smart kids too.

      It is actually. The style of the school is just like what you see in anime, inside and the outside. Same with their uniforms, it's exactly what you would see in an anime. I don't know what your talking about, really. Everything is basically the same except for a a few things. You can't relate reality to a fictional show either.

    • @OPTSXFilosoofis
      @OPTSXFilosoofis 10 років тому +1

    • @arius6771

      wat r u talking abt? it's exactly what it is in anime. I've obsessed with anime and sometimes i thought it was just anime before i watched this. there's anime in my country also but it's like nothing, it's fictional and uninspiring. This one on the other hand should be where all of the craziness were invented into anime. Japan schools are amazing.

    Wow thanks for the inside look, its so nice to have an idea of what it looks like :) Also, I am curious - is your hair naturally that dark? I heard that some exchange students have to dye their hair, is that true?

    From my part of Asia the people are nice like that. They are all hospitable and don't refuse guests. We are very open to anyone and winters can be harsh. Miss Asia -3

    tour of the set of every school days anime ever. (except no one hangs out on the roof, right?)
    I'm surprised the softball club doesn't get in trouble since they spraypainted about the softball club on that arch. It's not like the school isn't going to know who did it...

    What I like about your school is all the greenery at my school in Texas there aren't much places to go out side And practically all the plants died in the drought we had last summer

    Canadian schools aren't that boring!I'm British-Canadian,but I had to leave Canada when I was six to the US,so I never got the chance to go to St.Mary's,the high school my older sister went to!I always wanted to go, and for a time after we moved,I would insist that when I turned fifteen,I was going to go back to Canada and study at St.Mary's.Now I REALLY want to study in Japan,however I do miss Canada often.So don't say it's boring,I never got to go to high school there even though I wanted to!
