This gives me a bittersweet feeling in the stomach due to how 80% of my high school life are literally spent on me behind this computer. No matter how scary it sounds, from what I see according to other people, High school is the most exciting part of it all. A lot regretted wasting it and you should not too :3

Thank you I’m just a kid and I am struggling with anxiety and it’s hard for me to communicate with other kids in school that’s why I don’t have many friends and reading this makes me feel a lot better and the video makes me happy too😅❤
Mine has been quite eventful. I was in America before the pandemic and was not a very good kid tbh, i got sent out of class quite a bit, got into fights etc etc. During 2020, moved to England and started English high school, no friends, no support, had to get used to wearing uniform, among other things i had to learn, basically by myself but i decided to be better because no-one knew me, and still don't really, i have friends but they don't know much other than i am american, marine corps brat (ooh-rah). Now I am nearing the end of english high school (equivalent of sophomore US) and am sad, because i never have had a 'normal' childhood, as all of my friends have known each other since they were born, literally and i don't.
Nah believe me, I want a second pandemic so I can freaking get out of this so called "school" where students literally do whatever they want and no one even cares...you are lucky.
I went to school in Southern California, 3,500 students crammed into 5 concrete buildings. Fist fights, drug use and absolute pandemonium were the theme of the day. If I could show you videos of those days (2011-2014) people would be in utter shock. This is such a stark contrast.

I’m also a Japanese high schooler but I’m amazed at how different our high school lives are! First of all, I’m jealous of how cute your uniform is and how your guy friends are so cool lol. My school is in the middle of the city so we don’t have a school field, and not much greenery either:( Our school shop is also kinda boring-they only sell yokan, cheese sticks, pastries, bread, etc. Maybe it has to do with the fact that we change our homeroom classes every year, but my class isn’t very close-knit, and people tend to be with their own friend groups, so we don’t see snack parties held like that in the classroom.
I use to be scared of Japanese schools because I got told of how really strict it and how scary it was its honestly great to see it that its just like any other school :]
I think it's more about the exams and requirements that make Japanese schools "tougher" in the US, you can get by without passing exams in most classes, contrary to how Japanese schools make it a necessity.
y’all in these comments gotta remember that things aren’t always what they seem. this video is super cute, but just because her high school is like this, doesn’t necessarily mean every japanese high school is like this!
@@felt389I'm someone who is also interested in foreign exchange. Just a fair warning, school in Japan (and other asian schools) is lots more stricter than it may seem. And sometimes there's a lot more work, failing one class can make you fail the whole grade depending on the school, bullying is violent and rough sometimes, etc. Now these are just the cons, there's more and it may vary depending on the school. Don't let this discourage you from foreign exchange if you really do end up doing it, it will probably do you good in life.
I am friends with 7 Japanese natives and from experiences across 7 different high schools, they said it was similar. Small sample size, but from what we know, there is enough to know that perhaps the educational system is pretty good.

The grass is always greener, the amount of stress they go through because society basically demands perfection is concerning. Your life is work and the birth rate is declining because everybody is single. They all wish they lived here. It’s just cool to see something completely different than what we’re used to.
Everyone here at these schools seem so respectful and fun. At my school there is constantly bullying. The people in my town are completely terrible. They call you names simply for eating something that they wouldn’t eat or for even walking anywhere. This isn’t just to random kids that they think are weird, I hear them calling their friends terrible things and treating them terribly. Everyone here just drags everyone else down. There are people in my school who have done things that those our age should not be doing and it’s very uncomfortable knowing that. Everyone dresses so lousy like they just rolled out of bed or something. Messy hair, pajama pants, sandals. I guess if you’re comfortable in those clothes and as long as it’s allowed then it isn’t a problem, but in my school if you don’t dress like that then you’re a “furry” or “gay” or “emo” or something, and when my friends and I put effort into our outfits to look nice we are made fun of. I really wish I could go to a school like this, I know there is bullying in every school and especially in Japan, but this seems so welcoming and comforting to me compared to the low class school I go to. Nobody here knows any manners meanwhile (if i’m correct) Japanese schools are more strict with good manners and teach them. Edit: For everyone saying “Japan has a terrible bullying problem” “Japan is not like this” I KNOW. I know that Japan has horrible issues with bullying, I know that this is just a cute little video but what I am saying is that the environment displayed in this video seems like a much more comforting place compared to the environment I been living in. I’m not trying to sound all “Japan is so cute! How beautiful!”, I am GENUINELY saying that this video shows a much better place and people compared to where I am. This comment is practically a vent, not some take on how “cute” japanese schools are. Please recognize that before replying with something senseless acting like I have no idea what I’m talking about.

Man, wish I didn’t have to wear a uniform, we have to wear a jumper and a blazer no matter the wether and depending where you are it’s really hot, I don’t want to be hear, I want to be non uniform- aha!
i’m hispanic and we have to wear uniforms but our schools are very strict. You can’t wear makeup and can’t bring ur phone to school, also u can’t dye your hair or wear piercings!
I love how soothing the class bells are, in the U.S. they're loud and annoying. Plus all schools should allow uniforms I feel it's a better way for kids to focus more on their academics than what they wear. Japan is so much ahead in thinking about their students than here in the u.s. i would love to swap my shoes for slides, so comfortable!!
Not "allow" uniforms.. Mandate them. Uniforms wont work unless all students have to wear them. But for the reasoning i would agree. US students are far too focused on how they look and it causes popularity contests and them to be judged based on what they are wearing.

For those who are curious; Classes in Turkey are generally fun. As in almost every country, it is divided into public and private schools. It is also divided into Science high school, Anatolian high school, Social sciences, Regular high school, Vocational high school, Health high school, Religious high school. In the last year of secondary school, we take an exam (you are very lucky not to take it, it is very difficult). Depending on your exam score, you will go to one of these high schools. Then we have the university exam. Big boss literally. Anyway, when it comes to uniforms, we don't wear uniforms properly. I mean, there were times when people were very careful about it in the schools I went to, but I don't wear it now. There are still schools that wear it. Standard high school courses last 9 lessons (too long if you feel like it is). Colleges focus on language learning. But of course it depends on the field you choose. I am a science student, but I study English 10 lessons a week. We also take 2 German lessons. And unlike Japan, cute clothes are a laughing stock in our country. Of course, it depends on the environment quality. Skipping school is a common thing. Of course, when there are so many lessons. In colleges, there is a half-day school on Saturday. Total torture 😂. I wrote it to help anyone who is curious. Thank you for reading.

i totally agree! its strict, but the strictness is different from school to school, I had a chance to school at a relatively "loose" school for a few months and the students there seemed to be having fun, the only time they weren't having fun was never?!
As someone who actually experienced both Japanese and American schools(lived in america from 9 to 16, came back to Japan after), I can honestly say that the daily work load is alot more in American schools compared to Japan. Being held back a year for poor grades is unthinkable in Japanese schools whereas its possible even in elementary schools in America. The toughest part of Japanese high school is studying for the university entrance exams during high school, which not everyone does. The rate of Japanese high school graduates going to university is only about 40-50%, which isnt that different from the u.s. I feel like foreigners, especially westerners, exaggerate way too much about the strictness of schools in Japan. That was more of the case 30 or 40 years ago when we had 管理教育.
that is interesting to hear since i've heard the same thing about japanese school being more difficult before. and since i would struggle at times in american school, i wonder am i not as capable as japanese students? 😂
@@heyitzsamurai America gives their students too much work. Carry around 5 to 10 books that can be heavy. Even in Elementary School there can be too much. As I got older, we started adapting the no homework stuff where we rarely had homework because it just didn't help the students at all. Especially when it isn't easy to get in touch with a teacher and parents are usually too busy. Even now where I live, they went from requiring 21 credits to 28 credits to graduate in High School.

But look I just don’t get why Japanese people are so happy even if, as East Asians, are constantly on the verge of kys and whatnot as I can say myself and for many high schoolers in China such as my cousins. I heard that suicidal rates are high in Japan too so I don’t understand why they can still be so happy and they are far more passionate in speaking than Chinese people. The difference is like Spain and Germany for Europeans.

For any of those who are in high school right now or will be in the next few/years, I just want to let you know that you should never waste it! High school is very fun! No matter how scary it sounds, from what I see according to other people, High school is the most exciting part of it all. A lot regretted wasting it and you should not too :3
I'm last year hS i didn't have a good establishment so it definitely sucks for me too.
I graduated hs in 2018, so like right before covid. College was hard during covid but it didn't occur to me how socially damaging it must've been for grade school students especially. Congrats on your senior year!! I know alot of time was stolen but make this year the best one ever. The last few weeks get bittersweet asf but in the best way possible💛💛💛

Edit: For everyone saying “Japan has a terrible bullying problem”
“Japan is not like this”
I KNOW. I know that Japan has horrible issues with bullying, I know that this is just a cute little video but what I am saying is that the environment displayed in this video seems like a much more comforting place compared to the environment I been living in. Hi yela unnaru
For those who are curious;
Classes in Turkey are generally fun.

It's almost as if anime is based in Japan
Anime is Japanese and the highschools are based of off Japan and take place in Japan. It's almost like Anime took from Japan and not Japan from Anime.
THEY REALLLLY LIVIN THE ANIME LIFE
Many animes portray people from the West, I know there are some exceptions, especially those about schools. Even the names are Western and not Japanese. However, the Japanese ethnicity is quite peculiar, and the little eyes and spiky hair are quite cute.
I totally agree
That's what I thought!
not everything is a refference to anime
4:40 I liked it 😂💕💘 That's adorable.
speaks to both how awesome technology has come but also how smart are youngsters are to produce videos of this quality
i think that the coolest part of japanese high schools is that you actually change from outdoor shoes to sandals
日本人です、英語と日本語の字幕にされててすごく見やすい編集ですね!頑張ってください💪
Esse video é tão perfeito! …このビデオはとても完璧です! This video is so perfect 🤩❤️
I LOVE THOSE UNIFORMS SO CUTE
ДА😭😭 почему в мой стране такого нет☹️
I'd kill to be in a school like this, so cute, adorable, peaceful, no annoying children, everyone is very well mannered..
Jesus I get it alright? I was having a hard time at school when I posted this comment, I was trying to make myself feel good, keep your bloody words to yourself goddamn I literally did not ask
YES MA’AM
yeah mine is almost like people try to get in trouble.
it's not look like what we see in this video
No school shootings
until you look at the academic competition

highschool in japan ends at like 3 while in my place, ELEMENTARY schools end at 4:15😭😭
Here in Brazil, I studied at a school where I entered at 6:30 and left at 16:30, it was in elementary school too xD
This is so cute and fun 🥺
Hope there will be a second one
Me too
It’s so nice to see these kids enjoying their school life in Japan. Might as well cuz once they get spit out of the school system to be a Japanese adult, life in Japan is a meat grinder. I have been told so many times “i wish i could go back to my school days” by my friends in Osaka.
Yeah thinking about that is the only way I can cope with how much better their school life is than mine 😂
Wow, they look so joyful, the place is clean, the boys are well behaved and there’s a feeling of innocence, I can’t really tell what it is but it’s amazing to see how different it is compared to the kind of school life I went into. Very interesting. Thank you for sharing this. Please do more.
AHH YOU HAVE THE HIGH SCHOOL DREAM LIFE!😊
Your high school experience is vastly different from mine in Australia. The bento, uniform, class, lunch break, and school look much cleaner.
Fr. We have uniforms but Japan’s are way prettier 😭
Students clean the school
Don't forget their bullying culture.
@@ardrahmatpratama362 Ah yes Nagatoro
@@ardrahmatpratama362 Yagami will sort that out.
I know it's not an "aesthetic" but I love the vibes that Japanese high schools & uniforms bring! They are so cute and just really fitting unlike american schools were we don't have to wear uniforms and people are not well mannered. These Japanese schools just look more professional and so do the students/teachers!
In Russia we have school uniform too, but we hate it... It's very uncomfortable:(
@@cusidivg Im sorry about that! I used to wear uniforms for school in Elementary and they were not the best material either. Despite the feeling of them they were adorable, but no comfy.
The way you inserted “to be continued...” memes is hilarious 🤣
Yeah
this world is a jojo refrence mate
yes xddd
First time on the channel and I gotta say... I quite enjoyed the ride, I dream of being a teacher there so this felt like a study of some sort ngl. But mostly what happened on screen is the same as my time in school except a couple of things so I guess I have no reason feel weirded out by their culture if ever I go there someday❤❤❤
It's just like watching any episode of an anime series, it's all the way around of course but you can see the resemblance.
i wanna learn japanese so bad😭😭 it sounds so beautiful
who's stopping you tho
@@Syfrim my dad💀 he makes me do chinese homework and stuff so i don’t have the time✊✊😞
@@mei1142 i am also Chinese btw and it really helps with kanji meaning understanding but not so much for pronunciation so yeah that's js a grind 💀

This was super cool to watch. As a kid growing up, we had lots of Japanese students come to study in Canada and live with my family miss them all very much. This was very interesting to see what their lives were in Japan 🇯🇵 🇨🇦

If you compare this to the highschool I was at, its like a difference between heaven and hell

vlogは充実していてめちゃくちゃ楽しそうでほっこりしました!
You'd be surprised of how many people romanticize japan
I mean a lot of people love Japan for it's culture and peacefulness
Shouldn't be a surprise lol

So cute and fun and your contacts look great!!! … also 7:56, the way she has her bag as a backpack is so creative!!!
thank u ! it’s quite common to wear those bags as a backpack in japan i notice :>>>
this is how i imagined it to be omg so amazing i wish i could go here!
