These is the kind of friend that you cringe at back then at school but looking back when you're older, you're realize that actually, they're kinda cool
I am a Japanese high school student. In the club I belong to, there is a particularly pronounced hierarchical relationship. (This is just my personal experience, and does not apply to all hierarchical relationships among Japanese high school students.) For example, after club activities, there are sometimes words of remorse from senior members. At such times, you should never move or play with your hair. Look the senpai in the eye and listen with erect posture. Even if you need to go to the bathroom or are thirsty, you must not move. There are at least 10 more rules like this. The scary thing about these rules is that even if you think they are strange and a little rebellious at first, you will gradually get used to them. And the most Japanese thing of all is that seniors never say this themselves!!!! This kind of "unspoken understanding" is mainly taught secretly by the next lower-ranking senior, who is one grade higher than you. The highest-ranking students (the second-highest students) know about it and do not warn you. When they get angry with you, it's a really bad time. At that time, the senior who hadn't taught us would take responsibility and apologize.
I understand that you have to be respectful with your superiors, but shouldn't that rule also apply to senpais as well?. I mean, I wouldn't like to respect someone that doesn't respect their kouhais, just for the fact of being in a higher grade. I'd only be friendly and respectful to those people that treats me in the same manner.
I'm so glad I clicked on this video. Even though I almost knew about every single thing mentioned in this video, but it's still fun to watch actual students playing these roles. Also, that curly hair one was so pretty omg 👁️👄👁️
Not a Manga fan, not a a huge Japanese culture fan. Just an American who really, really wishes our school's required that much discipline and respect from students.
Isn't implying discipline with force leaves negative impression on character.. In Indian schools they imply discipline on us by sticks, sometimes they make us hens with bricks on top, sometimes sticks on nails, or slap, kick, punch is it good Only I know how I survived my school days it still has leaved negative effects on me and my confidence. I was afraid of tests, I was afraid of everything That's why I suggest free life without being someone under
