Interesting review. I’ve seen a lot of reviews too saying now they’re not very pigmented. I do worry sometimes UA-camrs may sing the praises of the brands and palettes too much in hopes of impressing Lisa or getting her attention…Sofia sees beauty did i think the best TRULY unbiased review of anyone is curious for different perspectives and not just like a rave review.
I also got velvet enchantment and it’s the perfect red for people who don’t normally wear reds! I have a muted undertone to my skin and this was perfect!
Totally! I think it'll work great on a variety of skintones too since it's balanced with warm and cool undertones

This palette looks beautiful on someone of your coloring. But I'm glad I saw it applied, because I think it might be too warm for my current tastes. Beautiful! I would love to see you how it looks at the end of sledding or dinner time. With a refillable pallet, I so wish we did not have to purchase a pre-curated one. Maybe I am out of the target demographic, but I decided not to purchase due to this coupled with the price point. But who knows, so many beautiful videos of these palettes- makes it so enticing.

@@BoldlyLauren A few said that the metallics and top coat shadows were too subtle and not glitzy enough. Someone also said the two metallics were too similar in colour in this particular palette.
oh my effing god this whole look , looks SO good on you. the lipstick and the eyeshadows!!! WOW. I love brown eyeshadows but sometimes I get sick of browns that are too warm (on me), my eyes can look like straight up oranges sometimes when I do warm browns (hence I ended up getting the Vega palette) - but WOW. I am living this Cinnabar eyeshadow through you - it looks so good!
Thank you! I think that's how I felt when I slowly purged my warm palettes a while back 😂 but I am so happy I got this one. Vega looks beautiful - it has similar tones to a lancome palette I recently bought

Got my 3 palettes today. Most of the shadows aren't heavily pigmented and require a lot of building. Fine for beginners and people with lines (like me), but many people won't like them if they're after ABH / Natasha Denona type shadows. The Cinnabar is by far my favourite.
Interesting! I feel like Cinnabar is super pigmented! Which of the other palettes did you get?
Agree, but I only have Vega. I am frankly really disappointed. Not only is the color payoff minimal unless you use heavier application techniques, but by the end of the day the colors are faded and dreary. The packaging is cute but kind of flimsier than I expected for the price. Such a different experience for me from LE's velvet lipsticks, which are saturated with pigment.
I am hearing people complain about the pigmentation. I am “of a certain age” and love makeup. Like I ordered the entire new collection knowing we could return if they were really bad. These are so perfect for drier eyelids or older women but the young will enjoy because the colors are amazing. These just blend themselves. And they are thin and blend themselves. So if you enjoy blending for hours then you may not like these. I have Pat McGrath, Natasha, Viseart, Anastasia…you get the idea. These don’t crease and don’t feel heavy. I find the pigmentation complaints so interesting because I feel like - at least with Cinnabar - it's REALLY pigmented, except for the shade Ritual which is supposed to be sheer/used as a topper. And they blend sooooo easily compared to some of the shadows you mentioned! Idk, I love this palette! Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
Enchantment looks great on you. I tried it on at the Lisa Eldridge pop up and was surprised by pink it looked. Especially once it was on my lips, it definitely looked pink rather than red. I suppose it may have had something to do with the lighting in the store; it was already dark so I couldn't check it in daylight, but maybe also my undertone and natural lip color. It definitely read as pink on my fair light olive skin tone (confirmed by the surprised make up artist who was helping me 😂). Not the vibe I was hoping for. It looks like a chill, low-key red on you here though!
I love this look Lauren! You did such a great job of utilising all the colours. Now that your love of palettes is rekindled, I hope we get to see you create more looks from this colour story - I'd love to see how versatile it can be.

Totally agree with you about Enchantment. I bought it thinking I would love a wearable red, but with my skin tone (light yellow/olive) and pigmented lips it definitely looked more muted hot pink to me. Not what I was looking for. I will stick with Cinnabar and Dragon lipsticks. They match my undertone much better.
@@teresak9543 Same - Cinnabar is my favourite LE red so far. FWIW, the new Sorcery lipstick had a great tone for me, it's just a teeny bit dark on my very fair skin, so that might be a great shade for you (not a red though of course).
@@chlomo2618 I bought the Sorcery lipstick too. It definitely has a 90s grungy look and I love it. Goes great with my tone. I really admire Lisa’s ability to create such gorgeous shades, but it is difficult for me sometimes to choose the correct one based on her videos and website examples. I really think it is the yellow/olive skin tone that makes it difficult to match with. In fact, it took a really long time to find a correct foundation shade. I finally found what I love (Dior air spray in warm 1 and 2 for winter and summer) and now they have stopped making it. Lol. I find that companies make shades for yellow/olive toned people way too dark even though there are a very many of us that are much lighter, even pale!
@@teresak9543 Oh yeah, the photos on her website are so unhelpful! I find a lot of them super inaccurate, especially the ones on the palest model. I'm lucky because I live in London and an able to go and try them on in person.
Totally agree about lighter toned olive skin. I only just found out that's my undertone recently, because so few brands cater to it. Lisa actually has a new shade of her foundation in the works (I've seen a sample but there's no word on when it will be released yet) for very fair olive undertone, which is so exciting. If she doesn't have a match for you in her foundation at the moment, hopefully there will be one in the future.

Unfortunately, I bought them from Beautylish and they no longer carry this particular version. They're the Koyudo Premium Series eyeshadow brushes - looks like there are some being sold on fudebeauty.com (I haven't bought from there) and there are some on eBay. I will say, they are fantastic brushes...it's a shame Beautylish stopped selling them!

i agree about the colors looking lighter in lisa’s videos and even on the models on her website. I still love the muted colors i have (fawn and muse) but they were darker and pinker than i was expecting. then again i have a very light skin tone so maybe i should have seen that coming.
Such a bummer! I'm sure it boils down to factors like the studio lights + the models individual undertones, but still from a consumers perspective and especially as her products are online only (unless you go to a pop up) accurate swatches are super important!

This palette is stunning with your skin and hair color. There are so many negative reviews out there. I have the Muse and Cinnabar palettes, the velvet Rain and velvet Pompadour lipsticks and they all beautiful to me.

I also own the Blush lightly lipstick and it looks nothing like how it looked online. It doesn't suit me at all, it looks way cooler and darker than it did online. Hugely disappointed with that.
Such a bummer. Fortunately I still like how it looks on me, but I don't understand why it looks so different in the photos
