the dude with Ryan was great, i thought Ryan would give him a hard time though
scarlett bazah the blonde was cute af
The northern Irish accent is much easier
I would say a northern accent is more difficult. I don't think I've ever heard a convincing fake Northern Irish accent. Are you from the north?
Gawdamit Donegal
Donegal.
It's funny how different Ryan, Paul, and Aine's accents are. I'm curious how well the Americans would do if they all tried to imitate the same person.
Gawdamit Oh, I know, I've heard tons of different Irish accents. It's just amusing to me how it seems like there's going to be one standard accent for them to try out but it's actually not like that at all.
Accents can even me generational, there's a huge difference between people my grandparent's age and my age where I live.
MollyPrewittWeasley And nowadays they're often coloured by the media people consume and whether they want to try to neutralize their accent for non-Irish ears. I know that John Kelly has fairly carefully cultivated his accent to be more neutral and easily understandable. He talked about it on his episode of Personality Bingo. And Diane and Tom have acting training that's likely coloured their accents.
Its mostly because of the clans hundreds of years ago in different parts of our country ... Even protestant northen irish don't speak like catholic northen irish... it's strange its like 200 different places in 1 small country lol
Same way with North Carolina. Travel from one county to the next and you'll hear a different accent, some counties have more than one (mine had two or three).
LOL! The guy with Ryan isn't trying an Irish accent so much as he's trying to imitate Ryan specifically.
RogueBishop89 which in it's self is a good idea because Ryan's irish
Of course. Note I did say "specifically." lol
Isn't that the point?
Snoop Doge he's from the north is he not
Oran5 5 I'm from Belfast sounds like Derry accent very harsh accent and that's coming from a Belfast man lol
Aye, the chap with Ryan is the best by far, he nearly has the Donegal/ Antrim accent down to a "T". Fair play to him!
Mary Kate Kelly there's a little hint of North in there i thought, a mix of a few, probably wrong though.
+Mary Kate Kelly He is from the north.
we are talking about the American chap with hair aren't we?
+Liam McWatt I meant the one he is with
ah yeah i know that, I was just thinking the American with him nearly had the northern accent, to me it sounded like a mix of Antrim and Donegal.
Ah Ireland, that beautiful country where, either it's raining, or it's going to rain... or both two
Ireland, that country where you look at the clouds and wait for it to rain,,,,,,,,,,,,,and often it doesn't.
Just buy an umbrella and get on with it!
Well that's a bit of a generalization don't you thi......ah fukkit, it's pissing down .
Ach it's gonna rain soon
*cries in climate change*
Greta should move to Ireland and maybe appreciate some global warmth

No way! Did the grumpy lad (Ryan?) finally found his cheerful American twin who made him smile and say "That was good."? I am weeping for joy.
Eily Bergin Lmfao Grumpy Ryan, love it!
Eily Bergin LOL
Paul's "Oh my gawd Becky please" was perfect! 👌 That's exactly what I sound like and he even got the arms out and shake of the hair. Bravo!
Katia Rivas 😂👌🏻
That's valley girl though lol not all of us talk like that, just like not all Irish folks have the same accent
01:36 - I love how her entire body language changes to try and get the accent. She's sort of swaying like she's slightly tipsy. That was super cute. Cracked me up
Surprised to see Ryan smiling so much and being so kind with that man. Maybe those goodnight tweets he's doing now have become an outlet of sorts.
Kayla Cook what's his twitter name?
He's @RyanCullen90 on Twitter. :)
Kayla Cook thanks!
No problem!
Nice to see Aine again , it's funny because the guy couldn't decipher Aines Tallaght accent 😂
Stephen W I felt sorry for him when he just sort of looked at her with a blank face. 😂
Looked like he kind of liked her lol
Stacey aka pinkysworn Aine is from the southside but not the posh part😂, a working class area like mine, we'd have similar accents
+Paul Muzik that doesn't surprise me though haha
Stephen W So you've told me a million times. 😋
I love how they picked the contributers with the strongest regional accents to demonstrate too, as though we Americans weren't going to fail at it enough in the first place. 😂 I could seriously listen to Irish people speak all day and never get sick of it. I actually found this channel when I was searching UA-cam for native Irish speakers and happened upon the accents video. lol
Omg 😂😂
I'm irish and I'm dieing
Your spelling is shit, what are you, 7?
FNAF ToychicaMANGLE X SPRINGY gamer does it matter in UA-cam comments?
@@fnaftoychicamanglexspringy4069 don't speak to Irish people like that
Its how they say it
FreeDom 101 Romanians can’t do Irish accent not even 5%!!! I know cuz i’m Romanian , Romanians can do the British accent good
* dying
Ooh, you should do Irish People Talk to Newfoundlanders!
Unfortunately not, I was just thinking the accents are similar is all.
Joshua Hillerup so similar and goose reason why 😄😄
I am from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. I find the Irish so similar to Newfoundlanders. (That is a big compliment where I come from) :)
I wanna see these same people but the other way around now!
Anime Fan yes omg

This is by far one of my favourite Facts videos ever 😂😂
That lad with Ryan was class. I loved it because I'm from Donegal as well
My Irish accent at times will switch to Scottish for certain sounds or slowly degrades to Scottish. Makes sense I guess since Scottish at least mildly resembles English most of the time
Try comparing highland Scottish gaelic speakers compared to Irish gaelic speakers. When speaking english, the harsher central Scotland accents that end on a high note after most sentences (eg some strong Glasgwegian) can have a notable similarity. Liverpool in England also had notable Irish migration in it's history, the influence is definitely there in the accent. Of course even in one town you will get different ranges in sound. Scottish and Irish can be hard to tell apart when the one's speaking have a weaker accent, but normally you can tell them apart fairly easily. Just don't use Hollywood actors attempting Irish or Scottish for any comparisons. lol
@@MrVidification Irish and scottish accents are not at all similar. Scottis have rolling Rs. The Irish have soft Rs. The irish have Hs all over their speak.
@@MrVidification I'm Irish and I've spoken to Scottish people and we sound completely different
The Ulster accent sounds Scottish to me a wee bit, the majority of Irish accents sound, well Irish.
"Up and atom!"
"Up and at them!"
Up and ATOM!
I loved this! Do more!
Say ye like moy hat Shannoonn
"Butch'yer naht wehhrin' a hat..."
This and the reply by Trev Moran made me spit out my water 😂 "wai cahnt ye say ye like me shoot"
It's not moy hat it's me hat
Omg! I love that movie....take Friday as well you spineless little fraction of a man

Instant subscriber. I look forward to every Facts. video you are in. C'mere to me...
Love this up Donrgal, Ireland Ireland together standing tall.
Im brazilian and im learning english. We "latin" based language have a special accent when we try to speak english. There are many accents around the world, then im fine with my accent.
Dope Colorado shirt 👍🏼
I don't know her name sorry but the blonde one is the cutest when she says the lines. lol
Spanish speaker here. Fascinating! A never ending process of learning about the so many accents, slang, etc. in all English speaking countries!
2:34 The man in the blue jumper (sweater) with a grey shirt underneath was reall good.
The only irish phrases most Americans know are "always after me lucky charms", "magically delicious", and "green and white stripes"
bigcrowfly 😆😆😂😂😂
bigcrowfly I've never said "always after my lucky charms" or " magically delicious" and I'm irish
Every time an Irish person misses the opportunity to say those phrases with a straight, serious face it is truly a tragedy.
You could fuck with so many people doing that.
I grew up on Lucky charms in Missouri ..they are magically delicious.. also an American cereal..now I'm craving some
Yeah phrases we don't even use
To my foreign ears, American accent is heavily influenced by Irish accent. When I first spoke with an Irish person and heard their rolling "r" I realized it was the first time I was listening that outside of the U.S. in a natural way.
Your man trying the Irish accent with the two lads was good!
This needs a part 2
Also, what part of Ireland is Paul from? His accent is exceptionally lovely.
Tookish I'm from kildare . Out in the shticks basically 😆
Ah, Kildare. So sing-songy. Thanks! I needs must add that to my list of places to visit when I win the lottery and can afford overseas travels.
Tookish I’m from Kerry
"It just sounds very American"
....WHAT HOW
a m it’s a fake accent
good stuff Facts 👍 Now visa versa!
Oml luv luv luv this vid lmao xxx hugs from Northern ireland xxx
fair play to yer man with Ryan, he was really good! 😃 the cringe level wasn't as high as I expected 😅
im from spain, and I'm gonna be going to Irealand to study!! I'm kind of scared about the accent, idk if Im going to understand what people tell me😂😂 any tips??
Learn to make petrol bombs , can you steal cars ?
We don't pronounce our T's and get use to random filler words like 'ah sure' so that's my advice good luck or as we say it 'glook'
Just remove 2-3 letters in every word and then pronounce them lmao im not irish srry
Just go for it and ask em to speak slower if you need to and maybe try pick up the accent ;) that's what I did anyway
Don't ask them about their Lucky charms
I love when the drop "I" out of "acting"
Jealous of the Facts. gang having a grand night out rn. Your Snaps are lit AF
That's mostly all slang from Dublin
The people in the video besides the Donegal lad are from Dublin. Dublin accent is very hard for american to do.
@@thenextshenanigantownandth4393 It seems most accents are hard for Americans to do
And Tipperary
The whole country says shur look it other than that ya
As an Irish person this kills me 😂
My family was all Irish, my grandma just decided to move to the u.s. so I don't have the accent Cuz I wasn't surrounded by it, but these phrases are easy for me to say, like Irish is easy for me but I have trouble sometimes
I could watch this for an hour!!!
The guy with short hair was I feel from Donegal
American's love the Irish tbh 😂🇮🇪
Wrong flag you eejit 😂😂😂😂😂🇮🇪🇮🇪
U fucking donkey it’s 🇮🇪
It’s this I thought you liked Irish Jesus lads 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
What about the Scots
@@gingythescot1161 Most of the things they think they love about the Irish is actually things they love about the Scots.
Aine has the type of accent I could listen to all day. I think her accent is the kind people always try to do for movies and always fail!
Really fun, great!
Long hair guy was into that girl....... Red face don't lie. Smitten he was.
M. gReY 😅
Scarlet for him
This video made me wanna hit up my nearest Denny's and get a Grand Slam. Am I right, other fellow Americans?
You are indeed. When you're out and about, what gun do you wear for Denny's? I wouldn't be seen without a Hi-Power, it's just one of those places where you take a Browning. Though some times, obviously depending on which shoes I'm wearing, I can _kind of_ get away with a classic CZ.
😂😂😂😂😂 check out the captions at 1:00
"Come on yoda"
"I wanna die"
These videos are ridonculous but lit at the same time 🔥🔥🔥👌👌😆
Mr. ShinyHunter big bang theory
I thinks Facts should do this with Newfoundlanders.
its so fuuny . I use these *every day*
The matching hoodies!
Oh my God Becky please 😂😂😂
Paul is my favorite dude! I call him Irish Jesus. 🙃
The 2 guys together best Irish accents❤️🇺🇸🇮🇪
What's the video at the end where he says "I'm walking here" I can't find it
Ayy representing Colorado. How did the Colorado flag get to Ireland?
The Prophet Nick Carter in my suitcase 😂
+Me Myself And Jesus Would it not have just been closer to go to the Netherlands?
Not_Tommy I was I Amsterdam last week 😂
How was Amsterdam compared to Colorado? ;)
The Prophet Nick Carter
via the Chinese factory that made the T-shirt.
"Go on outta that"
Sounds Jamaican af.
never notice how hard it is to do their accents lol they sound so cool though :D
You guys you should look up a song called "I'm into folk" by the Belgian band The Radios. They do these very overblown Irish accents.
But according to some Irish people I know they actually pulled it off.
Aine looks a bit like Natalie Dormer.
I'd go back to school if that blonde was my teacher. XD
You guys should do an Irish people get sorted on pottermore into harry potter houses!!
Love the hoodie twins.
Fair play to yer man with Ryan he was the best one
this is me with my american cousin
Even the three Irish people's accents were different in a way. That's cool. My dad is from Ireland and he has a very different accent from people in other areas of Ireland compared to where he grew up.
I so wish I could go to Ireland, have ancestors from there. Give me a couple days and I'll have the accent down, I just have a thing where I pick them up very quickly and don't even realize I do it till someone points it out to me.
Man, there was bunch of sexual tensions between each pair! :O :D
ESPECIALLY Ryan! :P
Colorado represent!
Melissa Jones it's an amazing state 🙌🏻🔥
I have to know because my cousin lives in Colorado and is named Melissa Jones- would be so random if we were on the same UA-cam video an hour apart. This is John Michael, Mike's son; is that you?
Hi, I'm Sean. I'm an entrepreneur from Upstate New York and none of you know me, but I kinda wanna know if this Melissa Jones is John Michael's cousin because it's 5:57pm EST and its raining here in New York's Capital District so I have nothing better to do
Yeah Melissa, are you John's cousin or not????
I don't know. I did know a Not_Tommy many years ago but it's not likely you're him
😂 being American, I love this! Irish accents are cool!
It's hilarious that every time a Facts. contributor tries an American accent, it's always, "Ay, I'm wawlking heer!" Seems a bit like our "top o' the marnin" or "I think I lost me shamrocks!" I find it endearing. :) Especially considering they tend to be better at a Jersey accent than we Americans are at an Irish accent. It's near impossible! They make such strange shapes with their mouths to sound the same letters!
An daoine a bhí ag Ryan bhí sé an mhaith
You will understand if you are from Ireland
Btw I love spuds and leprechauns
I've been learning Irish since I was four and I still don't understand that... 🤦♀️
I'm Irish 🍀
maybe one of the funniest ones yet love it.
The dude in US Polo hoodie did a good job.
This was hilarious since im Irish....I could do a better American accent and they all 😂😂😂
failed
damn! the blande irish chick is sexy af!
LMAO!😂 That was hilarious I loved it.
I'd be so game to do something like this! I'd be awful but it would be so fun
Is it me or does that blonde seem to be into Paul? It looks like she keeps scooting closer to him with each accent attempt.
Jon Vecellio oh and the hair flips too
Jon Vecellio ikr seems like she's showing off a bit xD
I think that's just Paul having the craic and being a lady magnet :p
What bout "what's the craic" or "what's the story" and like a lot of likes and no t
Or just "well" or "that's nice" meaning feck off any Irish get that reference
I do ! LOL,that's Mrs.Brown!
the guy with ryan was so good holy crap
I have a Northern Dublin ascent. ... and me father polish ascent. ...
Even the irish have different accents
I'm an accent and I've never heard of try.
i have never heard the first 2 accents but the 3 one Is what my family sounds like because i am form monaghan
i have some friends who moved from ring to boston and they lived in ring for their entire lives and recently came back to ireland to visit me and me family. they tried to do an irish accent and can't after moving to boston three years ago they couldn't 😂
Are Irish people the only good people at other accents ???
Saoirse Ronan is very good.
Irish people try IN-N-Out
You willing to post over some burgers?
Yuri Grigsby How could they possibly make that happen
They do have children, I'm sure they tried it before.
fuzzlenutberry nobody in Ireland has tried in n out
Mick the Bull ah Jaysus no none of that. not in a good Catholic household.
Thanks for including a Northern Irish person too :)
the place i live is an irish country but are accents are like fast mild american irish accents?
You can tell the bald guy was too self conscious about "sounding dumb" or something, just have fun with it dude!
