It really takes down the image of Mumbai in the world, doesn't matter how many skyscrapers southern Mumbai has. I think work had been issued to some company but recently got floated by Shiv Sena, now the court is questioning them for doing so.

You can’t compare the capital’s metro to other city’s metro because the central government will never say no for funds to Delhi. Moreover it’s difficult to build metros in Kolkata or Mumbai compared to Hyderabad or Chennai because you require 6 or more lines to cover a majority of the city while Chennai and Hyderabad required max 3. That’s why work is slower for Mumbai and Kolkata.
