Every metro is running on electricity as these are serving two objectives 1st reducing traffic congestion. 2nd reducing pollution in transportation.
NO. 1st part is true. 2nd part is true only if we know the source of electricity. Majority of electricity comes from burning coal. So, pollution is the same. Unless the metro solely uses solar power, wind power, or hydro power. Which it doesn't
@@sampadization thats why i wrote that it helps in reducing not eliminating and any how transportation using electricity will be producing very very less amount of pollutants as compared to diesel or petrol.

All metro are electrified... within 3 years Srinagar Metro will be operationalised. Work already started. Don’t worry every coach has reserved seats for women & senior citizens. First metro was started in KOLKATA in 1984 .

Srinagar me jo ban rahi hai wo metro nahi hogi. Wo intercity - shuttle wale style me hogi. Right now it is running between Banihal and Baramullah covering 96 kms., Srinagar stn baramullah se 20 kms pehle aata hai. After completion between Baramullah and Katra, this line will link Kashmir valley with rest of India. Total length of it will be 375 kms approx.(Jammu to Baramullah) and it is to cross more than 2 dozens of tunnels and more than 50 high bridges. 2 Highest bridges have height of 2 Effile Towers. The trains will run on Diesel engine- the highest horsepower engine being made by India.
Best thing about delhi metro is you can get metro every after 2minutes.
So if u want to skip one metro then you can coz you get nxt one in 2 minutes.

You missed an important observation. Kolkata metro is operational since 1984, the first metro in India.
Rush is mostly at office timings, exams or festivals. Generally no rush between 10 am to 4 pm .

Gurugaon metro is privately run by company DLF ( Delhi Land & Finance Company ) which developed new gurugram city.

@@MrYogesh_pal it's the first part of the metro, 2nd and 3rd part r ready, 2 part is just about to run with in this year, and then 3rd part, hopefully next year because everything is complete trial run is going on. Then the distance will be around 80-90 km at Least.

As Delhi metro started in 2002 and its 3rd has been completed and proposal for 4th phase has been passed from center and state govt.
And after completion of 3rd phase delhi metro covers 380+ km.

Every metro is running on electric traction. Gurugram rapid metro extracts electricity from rail tracks and thus you got impression some were not electric.
Kolkata was first metro 1984 followed by Delhi in 2002
Few points to elaborate
1. All metro are electric.
2. Four companies manufacture and also export coaches.
3. All metro including stations are air conditioned.
4. Metro fare is very economical and there's a lot of rush in morning and evening.
5. Frequency is quite good, there is a train every 5 minutes on busy routes.
It was only Metro but Delhi Transport Corporation DTC is one of the best Transport system in world. Only CNG Gas, complete comfort and large network. And actually the best Bus services across the world as well.. Delhi has best Transportation system of India and luckily. I'm from this wonderful city.
Absolutely right DTC has a Large Numbers of Buses An Metro Also in Whole India But Delhi Needs More.

2) Maximum time between 2 metro coming at station in not more than 5-6 mins....So if a person missed his metro..has to wait for only 5 mins for next metro.

All these routes are still under construction as you can some cities have 6-7 km route only because it's their 1 line of 1st phase 2nd or 3rd routes in these cities are still in construction as in Mumbai 7 lines are under construction simultaneously and in Delhi too phase 4 is under construction
The Delhi Metro uses 25kV AC overhead traction with a catenary system(A catenary is a system of overhead wires used to supply electricity to a locomotive.
The bangalore Metro uses 750 V DC traction with a third rail ( which is beside the Rail) for delivering the electricity to the Locomotive

Kolkata is the oldest metro 1984... It was proposed to start from 1920 under the Ganga river but British after building of London metro ( tube rail) didn't have funds so then it was abandoned..and it started from 1984
All metros are electrified. In case of Kolkata metro, which started in 1984, as the metro line is mostly underground, the electric lines are in the side of the rail line so not visible from outside.

All all metro running through electricity some line have overhead electric wiring and some line have new wheel electric system
1 - in Metro Services, trains keep coming in 2-5 minutes. 2 - Metros are all 100% on eltectrified tracks. 3 - Metroes are almost all either over the pillar tracks or underground tunnels.. hardly small pieces will be on road (Nagpur showed that) perhaps had some designing reasons..
Delhi metro had an older metro with coal engine..but was stopped for environmental concerns.😜..
