Wow, what a detailed update on the Adidas Adizero SL 2 after 100 miles! It's awesome to hear how the shoes held up so well in the heat and dust of Sicily, hehe. Love that you're pushing through the warm mornings to share this - I also love to run early morning in those big cities, especially in the heat of the summer! Keep those amazing updates coming, Stelvio, dear friend!
Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 I'm really glad you enjoyed the update on the Adidas Adizero SL 2. Running in the Sicilian heat definitely puts the shoes to the test, but it's always worth it to share these experiences with awesome running friends like you! There’s something special about those early morning runs in the summer heat, especially in big cities where everything is just waking up. I’ll definitely keep the updates coming-your support means a lot, my dear friend! Happy running, and stay cool out there! 🏃♂️🔥
Nice to get the review on the run Stelvio, it’s always good to see you out running 🏃♂️ Mornings are always the best time of day to get your run in, especially when it’s hot! Sounds like a more breathable option would be ideal in those conditions 👍
Thank you Martin, during running I remember better the feeling and the conditions of the shoe. I love running in the morning, the city is still quite and fresh. Yes for such warm cities it is better to find a more breathable solution ;-)
Great video Stelvio. I got these at launch but only put in ~50km so far (low mileage runner with too many shoes!). I’m enjoying them for easy to moderate efforts with some faster bits. I’m a bit bigger and heavier too and they seem cushioned enough when my legs are tired. Definitely run smaller than the Boston 12 for me, but still just enough space in my normal size.
Thank you so much David. Yes, kind of similar for me, easy short runs and moderate or tempo runs. They are a good fit for my feet, but you're right smaller than B12 which was too roomy for me. Thanks for watching :-)
I have both SL2 and Boston 12, for daily it is good to use SL2 for pace 6 or 7. But for interval, tempo or long run, Boston 12 far ahead especially reaponsive and energy return. The conclusion = SL2 can use everyday, Boston 12 for more extreme pace or long run. SL2 you wear it and it feels great. Boston 12 you have to push(forefoot) to feel the greatness of lighstrike pro and energy rods.
It’s good that you found the best trainings for your shoes. Especially for the B12 I was not able to enjoy them as you are doing, but for the SL2 I found it good overall 👍 thanks for watching and sharing
@runningwithstelvio Yes recommend..for everyone those stock laces are garbage. to Short agree since using lock laces I have had no problem ever with lock down its changed everything git wise plus I love the ability it allows to stretch allowing foot to swell on long runs without pressure on top of foot.
Lucky you, due to my running technique I wasn't able to run with the takumi and SL1. B11 was better than B12 for me, but the upper of the B11 was a shame
love the scenery love the review great shoe I'm enjoying mine more than any shoe in yr so are you concerned with uptick in earthquakes and volcanos there they are active again ya know worried about yall in Italy..reports are not looking good.
Thank you so much Iconik, I like it as well, very good upgrade. Etna is always active, but recently was more than usual. The vulcanic dust didn't waste the outsole, so the adwear rubber looks pretty solid
@runningwithstelvio keep care my friends of Italy 🇮🇹 ❤️ I would seriously consider moving ..man that area is getting bad..report if seafloor rising vents changing cracks fissures opening up scary stuff stay safe please..God bless you
@@iconik-cn5rm thanks iconik for the information, I was in Italy for vacation, I believe in Italy is kind of normal to hear about such events, even though it is risky as you said
@@runningwithstelvio yeah I believe fact that it's normal is the mistake know what I mean people become very complacent of enviroment around them..one love
I have the Adidas SL2. I find they run a bit short.. Upper very warm.. Quite unstable for a heel striker and slow runner.. A lot of ground feel and can hurt my metatarsal on sharp rocks.. Midsole nice and responsive. I learned to stick with shoes with a plate to protect my feet being a senior runner..
These are not bad and I like them but the ankle collar is too high and there is more padding in the upper than I want. I would like an upper more like in the Boston on this midsole. I would ideally like Continental rubber because this adiwear is noticeably not as good in rain. I guess those things might make a much more expensive shoe, though.
Yes definitely the upper is too much, and even the tongue too much padding. Yes I felt that adiwear slippering on the wet, continental is a much better rubber in all conditions and yes probably the shoe would cost more, considering the inflation. Some years ago you would get continental at that price range

I find this is great for tempo, interval, and shorter easy run. I size half up, and it still gave me a semi- black toe. For the price it is very good
Thanks for the feedback and to share your experience, it helps all the runners in this community 👍
I put lock laces in mine and it changed the fit heads up..made it way way better..more comfortable.
Thanks for the idea and feedback, It worths to try

Same thoughts, landing in the heel is not the best in this model, but I found it responsive a nice for tempo runs or short easy runs.
Che fatica bravo

I also did enjoy the seaside views in Siracusa.
Very warm upper..
