I always love these videos. Not a bad looking bike, that Ninja right there. Tripp, have you considered other dealers to show unboxings or have they said no? Cause it would be cool to see others. Nevertheless, Kawasaki is awesome.
It is INCREDIBLY tough to get into the back of a dealership to video builds or repairs. I’ve known these folks for years and they are nice enough to let me in. I’d love to do the same at other dealerships, given the chance.

Great video as it shows just how much is involved in uncrating a bike, when a buyer sees "Uncrating costs" posted. It's not a 123 instant process, but takes some time. Thanks.

Very interesting how well packaged bikes arrive these days almost no chance of damage. In the 70's bikes came in reinforced sponge cardboard.
Well at least one thing has changed for the better since then!

Nice. They built thang for decades, might as well keep going. Obviously the super sport 636 with four cylinders wasn't the same thing, sure faster and better or whatever the ninja 500 had a simple charm

I just went to the dealership the other day and asked for the price on this bike and asked if there was any mark up and was told no mark up but we do a "$1900 assembly fee" I knew that was excessive and walked away but after seeing this that's basically robbery LOL... I know some bikes are a bit more work no front wheel on shipping and more things to attach. this was basically done and only a few screws

Just got one light bike
From watching this video, I have come to the conclusion that I will be purchasing "Original Bike Spirits" for the bike I am going to get.
Both my Harley and Kawasaki dealers use it and I absolutely love the stuff. Works for me!
It’s a pity we can’t order these direct ship to our homes I’d love nothing better than to unbox and uncrate my own. Plenty of Chinese bikes are sold this way and some cars now. Step up big three give us an option to direct buy!
Two reasons this will never happen, and shouldn’t. 1) Warranty - should they really be expected to stand behind a bike that you build? 2) Insurance liability. You get hurt building their bike and it’s their ass. 🙂

I saw the "made in Thailand" sticker. So Kawasaki joins an exclusive club which includes Triumph, BMW, and Harley Davidson who build there.

The crate is sent to a recycler. You pay for the crate - it’s part of the shipping charge.
How much for 2022 ninja 400 unit?
is this(and the z400) euro5 compliant? Some people say the ninja400 and the Z400 are being discontinued?
I believe both are compliant and I’m almost positive neither are being discontinued.
Rumors are that there will be a ZX-4 or ZX 400 RR based on the ZX-25. It will probably sell alongside the Ninja 400 (EX400). Actually, patent leaks reveal that it was designed to be a 400cc bike from the start and the ZX-25 is the spin-off. Now I’m glad that some other markets already had ZX-25 for a year so they could get all the kinks out for the 400 RR launch. ;)
I thought you would have to put oil and fuel in it and connect the battery
The fluids are in the bike from the factory. They don’t charge or connect the battery until it’s sold.

Bikes are shipped with oil. Fuel and battery aren’t added until sale to the customer.
@@trippontwowheels Thanks. I remember asking for the crated bike when I bought my Ninja 250 cash back in 2008. I asked them to leave it in the factory crate since I had to transport it across several states and didn’t want them to charge me the set-up fee. When I got there they had set it up anyway (shop guys didn’t get the memo) but one of the things they told me about the setup process they were charging for was seemingly a lie. They said it shipped from the factory with mineral oil which had to be drained and replaced with motor oil. :(

Not at all. Try $400-600 depending on bike. If they do, it's a total markup scam and only at your dealership None of the others charge that much.
