I love vampy dark movies...lots of older stuff from 90s and 80s. Maybe that's why I was never into twilight. It was more like an adult Disney version of vampires.
@@anh7807 I understand creative license but she ignored so much vampire lore by saying “we avoid sunlight cause we sparkle” like what? The most insane reason they avoid the sun
Whyyyyy did they name the highlighter _vampire skin_ and not _skin of a killer_ ?!? I'm not at all a fan of Twilight, but this whole release feels like a missed opportunity. They should have leaned all the way in to the campiness and had fun with it!
I promise you they just renamed a bunch of old shades that never sold and threw up into a pallette because they knew people would buy it no matter what
@@nancykerrigan thanks. I do mix them up for some reason in my mind. Probably bc of the timing of them. The same approval process still stands though with names and shades
It would have been nice to see some deep greens in there and twilight characters have orange/amber eyes so would have been nice to see those tones as well!
Oh my god yeah, the red eyes of the other vampires... you make such a good point about the Amber and wasn't her van like an orange colour? and all the greens where really saturated. Like in the lion and the lamb scene its blue yes, but the green was so vivid.
They missed the mark too , they could have had a "team Edward" and "team Jacob" pallete, with Edward having a shade range for lighter skin and Jacob for darker skin. This pallete is 100% team Edward without any of the blood red or amber from his eyes . You could do a whole range of lipsticks based on the Cullen family, and one for Jacobs wolf pack too, with the vampires more vampy reds and the werewolves more tan neutrals. Everything could be doubled up on, cullen higlighters , wolf pack highlighters and bronzers. Team Edward & Jacob was such a thing and you can basically sell twice as much product for the same fans since half of the fans liked both boys. I actually think the body oil and those liners are the most inspired choices in this collection, since Edwards sparkle is such a big deal in the book and movies. There should be a team Jacob body oil that's more hydrating and has more of a deep perfume to it or something! The women who were tweens when these books came out are 30 now, plenty of people really loved these books and movies and this pallete has all one undertone and several shades that look identical.
ColourPop needs a new marketing exec. Everyone knows they create fun eyeshadow palettes, but lately they seem to be struggling. Meanwhile, I tried their foundation and loose powder for the first time and was blown away by how great they looked on my mature, textured, large pored oily skin. I think they'd do so much better to start actually marketing to some of the more mature makeup lovers like myself instead of just doing these themed kits all the time.
Tbh, I think some of these companies likely practice ageism in hiring like it's their job, or their execs are so overpaid that none of their acquaintances even use ColourPop. They definitely do not understand the enormous gap between Z & millenials and Gen X & The Boom. Us Olders simply are not as driven to derive identity or create purchasing loyalties based on media we like (altho let Molly Ringwald launch a palette & you'll hear from Gen X en masse), but we are a huge purchasing group, and not all of us are wealthy. However, I can see their point - if enough people are willing to pay for a palette simply because it's Twilight, economically it's ill advised for a "fast makeup" brand to spend any more time/money than needed. Consumers who refuse to act in their own self interest are actually a huge problem in a capitalist economy, from the consumers' perspective. Brands will never deliver more than we demand, and as a population, beauty consumers only seem to demand trendiness & aesthetic packaging. The value of makeup has become derived from showing it off or feeling a parasocial bond
You think it's.kids buying twilight stuff? I'm in my late 30s and it was people my age and older that loved twilight whe it come out. This isn't marketed to "young people" the majority of.25 and under buying this will probably do so for the colour story.
That being said, ive not.bought fron them in like 3 years because i was doing a big order 2 times a year and realised i was just buying the same pallets basically because they where the only.ones doing cool tones pallets but i didnt ralise i was just so excited about cool tones that i was buying the same mauve pallet and the same cooler/actual neutral neutral pallette 😂 amd plus i heard the quality isnt the same for their eye shaddows
honestly as someone with a very muted skin tone and coloring (i have green eyes but they have a grey base and ashy brown hair, for example) that palette actually looks like what i’ve been searching for my whole life. people like you with very bold contrast can pull off basically ANY color, and 90% of eyeshadow palettes are VERY saturated and warm. i look bad in almost every eyeshadow look i’ve ever tried because it’s so hard to find muted/ashy versions of colors like this, but those colors look absolutely perfect for me. the matte green shade is literally my eye color. i am actually jealous of your bold coloring and how you can pull off everything, but please don’t immediately shame something that has an ashier tone, because i actually desperately need MORE colors like this in the makeup world.
Feel like I wrote this comment 😂 I LOVE eyeshadow but spent so much money on palettes where the color story looked beautiful but then just did not work on me at all! I finally figured out with my really cool toned skin, warm tones just don’t look good. And if they’re even slightly warm they lean even warmer on me. So I’ll use like a pink and it’ll end up looking orange on me. It was frustrating! Then of course with my fair skin and figured out I’m more muted….It helped me learn what shades do work for me. But unfortunately so many palettes don’t work for me because, like you said, most lean really warm! I’ve saved money by not having many options 😂 But I’ve found some! Have you tried Colourpop Aurora Struck? I almost didn’t get it because it was colorful and I was looking for something more neutral for everyday kind of use for me. But I decided to get it and OMG it’s the perfect muted color story! There’s a few deeper shapes in it for depth, which is nice. But the majority of the colors are nice and muted shades! I started using it every single day! And there’s also Viseart Cool Mattes, which is great for fair, muted cool toned skin!
Yes! I have very cool toned skin and hazel eyes. Warm toned browns literally emphasize the coolness of my skin and that’s when I get the black eye effect. It’s so hard to find cool toned colors that also work with my eye color. I’ve wasted so much money on eyeshadows that make my eyes and face look so beat up. A basic cool toned palette would do wonders.
@@onewhisper22005 Yes, I second Aurora Struck!! This is the story of my life. Recently went out to replace all my decade-old makeup and buy my first ever eyeshadow palette, but EVERYTHING is so warm-toned nowadays and I have very pale blue-ish corpse skin 😭When I found Aurora Struck, it was literally an auto-purchase. Such a good palette for my skin tone. Turned out that Colourpop was also the only brand that had concealer cool enough for me
@@krissycross22 same!!! I used to think it was my tiny, hooded eyes then thought maybe I just needed to improve my eyeshadow skills. Finally realized it’s because I’m so cool toned and warm tones don’t look good on me! 🤣
For me personally it would be a great palette, because most palettes are warmtoned. And my skin is very fair and has a cool undertone. But honestly, there are too many similar colors in it.
Yeah I don't get the hate. It's true that this palette is not very versatile but for the ultra pale or quite cool toned, it would make sense (conversely vivid saturated colors would look clown-like on the same people)
It’s nice but the problem is also that if you have Aurora Struck, you probably already have all of these colors already. Colourpop keeps repeating themselves and a lot of their colorful palettes have shades that look nearly identical to Aurora Struck. They did the same thing with the last Sailor Moon palette.
I think they'll make different collections for each movie maybe and the volturi don't get mentioned till the second one. I still don't like this palette tho
The best part of these videos is always Robert's sense of humour. And i completely agree, most times these type of palettes are not great at all. They could do much better but apparently these brands don't listen to the fans.
I will never be able to explain it, but my twihard phase was so hard, that the movies are still my comfort movies when I'm upset or feel not like myself or anything. The books were also the first books for me to read in English, and motivated me to continue to read in English to improve my English (as I am Dutch). I am aware of everything wrong with them and I totally agree, but somehow I, a 28 year old woman, will be giggling like the 14 year old when I first read the books.
@@marjoriedanis9744 I swear, these collections are designed by people who don’t even bother to really study whatever the collections are based on. They just take a brief look at the aesthetic of a movie or show and go from there.
Someone commented this under Colourpop’s post about the body oil and they replied saying that they tried. I heard (I think it was from rawbeautykristi) that when they collab with movies/shows like this, the shade names need to be approved by the company that hold the trademark. In this case I think it would be Lionsgate that wouldn’t give us “skin of a killer” 💔
@@0ffline333 wow Lionsgate obviously doesn't understand the irony of a twilight renaissance being the reason for this collab's existence and the role of memes in that renaissance itself. 😪
why did they not play into the edward vs jacob thing and create a dark deep toned palette to represent the wolves? They could have played into the pale, grey and then also made a palette that works for deeper skin tones and offered a different color story and range... Or even split the pallet in half and have half the greys and blue and half darker deeper tones and glitters...
The Sailor Moon call out thank you!!! They really could have done so much if they had done mini pallets for each scout with colors named after their moves they could have made so much money. They missed the mark... both times
The problem with these colourpop collabs (in my opinion) are that the collections are made to emulate the aesthetic of the property overall but don’t allow you to use the makeup to make yourself look like any of the characters from the property they are collaborating with. Most of the time the colours are either too similar or unflattering to make a cohesive makeup look. Bella’s makeup is honestly really pretty throughout the whole series. She wears a lot of subtle everyday looks with earth tone colours like brown and green with some gold shimmer here and there that you can tell have a lot of warmth despite the blue filter over the first film. Same with Rosalie and Alice. But none of the colours in this entire collection really give you the opportunity to try and recreate their makeup looks. Plus if they were going with a collection that is more experimental and unconventional they should have gone with a Volturi theme. Honestly I would love a Buffy the Vampire Slayer collab if they made it so I could recreate some of the eyeshadow looks Buffy, Faith, Cordelia or Willow wear throughout the series with a few more wild colours as super shock shadows. Because all the Buffy girls had some really nice eyeshadow and lip looks.
I've honestly been after a Hatsune miku collaband general vocaloid collab for ages go in with grey's turquoise, pinks etc as well as associated for the other vocaloids. I just feel that even with the most out there colour palettes they'd completely butcher them and put unnecessary browns in there. The quality I'd be a bit dubious of as well purely because I've got other things from other collections and half the colours in the muppets Christmas collection are hard as hell to work with, the child palette has a brown in it that goes on the eye way too dark and you can't blend it to look good without it looking grim and the power puff girls eyeshadow was basically coloured chalk in quality. They need to consult their customer base/fans more and fix their formulation issues because the only decent things I have of theirs are the on cloud blue, the cloud spun eyeshadow palette, the acnh collab and the sailor moon ones everything else I've had from them has been bad
I don't know if the different sort of shades cost more or less to make. Perhaps it is a money thing. That is, if they make all the colours not chalky it would cost more. I don't own anything from them so this is just a random guess. And it helps the algoritm ofc.😊
I've been begging them for The Vampire Diaries collab for years. I really need to watch Buffy since I hear so many good things about it. I've been re watching True Blood but need to buy the Buffy series since it isn't on tv to my knowledge.
10:24 "i want to... scream... and burn my house down and leave" i'm so glad i'm not the only person who thought that after using a black shimmer shadow from colourpop! i have the blowin' smoke palette (formerly called smokeshow) and the first time i ever used the black shimmer i felt SO discouraged. it was exactly like what robert described here, with the shimmer completely disappearing when blended, and blending itself was also a challenge. as much as i'm glad to know it wasn't just a me problem, i'm also a little disheartened that those types of shades from colourpop haven't gotten any better in the years since then.
First look: Chalky denim. Second look: Shimmer panda. Highlighter: Barbie frosting. Lip oils: a nice light tint of dead. Definitely a miss on the pallet, I was gagging along with you on all the fall out & ridiculous unblendability. But the highlighter could work with a different look and someone a bit pinker toned, and the lip oils looked nice.
This is how all influencers should be! It's refreshing to see such honesty (as always with Robert) but others need to take a leaf out of his book. How many slate items and then love them when they are sponsored etc.
@@RobertWelsh but where is it from! 😂 (Seriously, consider getting referral links for your clothing. I would 100% click thru to buy items for my spouse.)
One thing I’ve learned by watching your videos is how bad the makeup I’ve tried throughout the years have been. I’ve been so frustrated with makeup and I always thought I was just not doing things right but now I realize some products are not good, even from beloved brands and products found at Sephora or ultra.
Thank you Robert for your always honest product reviews. I value your opinion very much and appreciate that you’re honest no matter whether you have been gifted products through PR or bought them yourself. 😊
listen i understand where they got colours from, as those are in fact the main tones of the film, HOWEVER, my immediate thought was: why is there no red? because since the film has that absurd blue overlay on it nearly the entire time, the colours that didn't fit that aesthetic really stood out, such as the red eyes of other vampires, and the colour of bella's truck. there's also plenty of opportunity for a nice gold or amber tone to represent the colours of the cullen families eyes. as both an artist and a person who enjoys makeup, it frustrates me so much when brands partner with popular franchises but seemingly put zero effort or thought into the palette they make. edit to add: 13:18 no robert there is in fact, no reason i can think of that those lip shades would represent those characters 😅 granted, it's been over a decade since i read those books/watched the films, but i was a huge fan at the time (listen i was a child ok we all make mistakes) so i feel like I'd remember any big plot points that would make those colours related to those characters 😂
i want to love this collection. the idea of a blue filter eyeshadow pallet as a nod to the movie and leaning into the meme I think is hilarious but yeah no its not a super usable pallet for anyone darker then medium (as a medium girlie who can't use this). my huge problem with this is this collection doesn't match the promo images??? the original promo images had me so excited being more vampy and dramatic and then we get this??? i don't think its possible to remake the promo images at home using this collection and it feels soooo disingenuous to me. like significantly more then normal.
I have noticed this with every eyeshadow palette online lately. I no longer buy eyeshadow that isn’t available or see in a store because it never looks remotely close to the pictures that made me want it in the first place. Not just Colourpop, many other brands as well.
Same, I thought it looked so exciting in promo pics but every review I’ve watched it just looks ashy and bland. That green in the middle though. It pulls me in like no other.
Not a fan of the movies and not always the biggest fan of Colorpop shadows but I liked this one. A lot of palettes I get now are too deep and warm for me so it was nice to see the tone here and in Sailor Moon. I thought the color nicely matched the Pacific Northwest not just the movie.
At first I really did want the collection because Twilight was a book that got me into reading. I hated reading because I have Dyslexia as well. I didn’t read that many more books because I didn’t see anything else interesting while in high school. Different story today ANYWAYS! But thank you so much for reviewing this cause now I can save my money. The eye shadows are much more gray than I anticipated and, just no thank you. I love you so much; have an amazing day if you read this ❤️
Thank you for not using the green shadows. The other reviews I have seen had similar eye looks. Nothing wrong with that, but just glad to see something different ❤
Thank you for reviewing this one! I first watched Twilight with my granddaughter probably a year or so ago. I was 50. I liked the movies, but I think part of me “liking” them was that I was watching with her. Both of us for the first time. She was 13 and super into them; loved all the movies and characters. I was considering getting her this collection but I’m not really sure she would love the color story. If it wasn’t labeled ‘Twilight’ I wouldn’t automatically know it was a Twilight collection. Plus, if the shadows aren’t good quality she won’t reach for it. We have other palettes that she really likes that are of better quality. How disappointing. I trust your thoughts and opinions and recommendations so thank you! That black looked awful to work with and I hate when a shadow gets all over. Grrr I agree with you about the lippies tho! Love them! Have a great rest of your weekend! Hugs! 💜 🖤
A deep brown matte, that represents Bella's hair and eyes, would have been a nice addition to the eyeshadow palette. I'm a fan of the book series only and I refused to buy this collection. It's only a thing because Hollywood is trying to reboot the movie series and they need to build up "excitement" again.🙄🥴
Aaaw Rob - these colours do remind me of the film, greens, lights and blues. As a cool toned girl, these would would good on me and I bought this pallet and they look great on me. I don’t use a huge amount of eye make up and love the way these go down on top on P Louise eye bases. X
Thank you so much for doing this video! Ive been seeing the colorpop twilight ad constantly on facebook and wasnt sure if i wanted to buy it or not! Id love to try the skin glitter oil though!
I have only seen this collection online and not in person, and I am not a Twilight fan, and my first thought was - finally, something for my cool-toned, very pale skin. Other than the black glitter not layering well over other shadows and the crusty/dusty/ashy comments, which I did not understand, I am not sure what is wrong. Unlike other influencers who may only know what works for their own complexions, I feel like Robert has the knowledge and experience to make more nuanced reviews than "do not buy this". So many people in the comments wish for this to be orange and brown, but aren't there enough warm nude palettes? I am, however, weirded out by the thought of "Team Edward" on my lips.
I was disappointed with the color story of the eyeshadow pallet as soon as you showed it. I was expecting a totally different set of colors. Those don’t scream twighlight to me at all. I definitely agree that they don’t listen to anything anyone says. I have recently just started turning to you for reviews because of your honesty ❤ I love your videos
I just got Sage All Day and Orchid You Not and they’re beautiful ❤… especially the Orchid /purple palette. So blendable and really makes my green eyes pop. Overall, I’m a big Colourpop fan!🎉
That is so true about Colourpop’s formulas being inconsistent. I love their 9 pan shadow sets but any of the special editions are patchy as all hell. I bought the Rudolph palette this past Christmas and ended up returning it because most of the colors barely showed up.
Okay, Robert, I know how you feel about a lot of instances of influencer makeup brands and collabs, but also, if you did do a Sailor Moon-themed line, it would be amazing, and my nostalgic ass would buy the hell out of that. Especially if it incorporated Drachea Rannak's long-esteemed fanart.
I would love for you to do a video about your personal favorite colourpop palettes! I always hear that seemingly the quality in some is amazing and in others is not as great. There are so many of them at this point and it can be overwhelming trying to figure out which are best to buy. But they seem like a good value for someone like me who is getting more into eyeshadow and is on a budget.
The whole collab causes me so much pain because I want to love it so bad. I literally went to Forks like 2 weeks ago to tour all the Twilight things. But the palette is SUCH a miss for me. I think the colours are okay for the scenery but they miss the Twilight elements like the red for Bella’s truck and Mt. Ranier beers (team Charlie) and Laurent’s/Victorias eyes. An amber colour for Edward’s eyes called “it’s the fluorescents”, Bella’s “purples cool… I guess” bedsheet set. There could have been more done even with the first movie colour palette. I could go on and on. And you can’t get a readable Twilight vampire look out of this palette! Which is annoying because it doesn’t say “twilight” to just have green/blue eyeshadow on. They should consult me next time thank you.
This! I'm obsessed by the Saga and I own everything Twilight but I couldn't get myself to spend money on this collection because it was a huge disappointment. It didn't scream "Twilight" to me, it just screamed "mud and cremation"
I wouldn't expect this to blend like my crap makeup... I was starting to think it was me..but no the blend ability is horrible. The fall out would also drive me nutsss
🖤 I ordered some colourpop with your code recently for my daughter and me. We got a bunch of the clearanced pallets and have been having so much fun playing with all the different colors. I saw this set up, but it was so expensive for such a small selection that we decided to get variety instead of the twilight name.
I love ColourPop eye shadows in general, I have a couple bigger palettes, and the 9 shadow ones in every shade of the rainbow. I love those and the green single shadow I have. But I think they go way too collab crazy. I get at least 2, if not more emails from them every damn day and a lot of it is new collab stuff. It's too much and they are making some MEH stuff.
I once commented on cp’s ig that they were putting ashier colours with less pigments into their palettes, and people defended the heck out of the brand for no reason…
I saw this and was confused. It looks cheap and seems like a quick cash grab. "It sold out" means nothing to me other than a low number of pallets were available. Thanks for making me laugh and trying out the formulas. I also dispise glittery products that fall everywhere. BTW, I believe the lip oil is "black" because Jacob's last name is Black.
The best collection Colorpop had recently was the Hauntwd Mansion and it sold out in a heartbeat with no restock. Too bad this one is another disappointment. But the dark eye look still looks good on you!
As someone who has also been struggling with winter crusties, I started using cosrx's hyaluronic acid intensive cream as my moisturizer day and night and it helps so much. I get the crusties on the corners of my mouth and eyelids in the winter also 😭
I have the palette and I'm probably not going to use the blue shades because I know how tricky blues can be to make, and I also don't use black shadows as much anymore. I did a look the other day with the more neutral and green shades in the palette, and it was moreso what you'd expect from Colourpop, so I'm glad at least those are useable. I mainly got the collection because I'm a HUGE Twilight Stan (I have a giant chest piece tattoo, trust me😅) so I would have gotten the collection regardless of how it performed. The lip oils were the products I was most interested in, and I love the formula and shades of those, so it's a win for me 💜
@@ElastiBabe Thanks. I'm a huge Twilight fan too so I was also planning on buying some if not all of it just bc I wanted to have it. I guess I'm going to prioritize the lip oils first if I can get my hands on some. Last I checked the colour pop website was sold out. I wonder if they'll restock or just be done with it as a limited edition. Thanks for the info. 😊
The black eyeshadow is a peculiar formula it kind of combines metallic with glitter. They take some getting used to. As far as application, your fingers are your best bet. However, I agree that the colors won't suit everyone. This is more a fan collection item than a practical item. Like Robert said, there are items I buy not to use but just to display. Robert, love your videos. Please keep them coming.
Is it supposed to be just from the first movie or are they going to do a pallet for each of the sagas because honestly they could have done like a burgundy red because of blood they could have done a nice Shimmer not chalky they could have done a blue a nice Brown because of the wolf you know or because of their hazel eyes they had a lot of options that they could have gone especially color references in the movies that they talked about
I've honestly been flabbergasted that people are in love with that palette 🙈 I get that they were trying to go with the colour scheme of the film, but that is the worst colour story I have seen in a long time, not to mention its beyond boring! I'm glad you feel the same way and I not the only one 😂
I do love your content first of all. Second of all, the pallet is giving LA Colors Dollar Store blue eyes pallet with bonus colors, especially with the dusty/whiteout/pastel undertones.
Something I’ve started doing with shimmer eyeshadow shades if I want it to be opaque, is just ditching the brush and packing it on my eye with my finger. Works great! (For me at least lol.)

My husband was one of those people who annoyed Robert in the theater... he got up and screamed along with the teen girls, flapped his hands and jumped around. Just made a complete ass out if himself. It was quite hilarious.
they truly missed the mark with this colab! in twilight there’s many different kinds of vampires across all the movies with different vibes, even the main character bella has a red truck, her dad wears the most gorgeous ambers and browns that compliment the cullens eyes as well. the town is surrounded by forests - greens !! such a boring outcome unfortunately :( great review as always robert - perhaps i’ll pick up what you’ve done with the lips 🩷

"Let's try those crusty shades" is such a relatable war cry.
‘We’re getting there, we’re getting less crusty’ ‘2024🎉’ 😂😂😂
@@jesclifford88 🤣🤣🤣
honestly as someone with a very muted skin tone and coloring (i have green eyes but they have a grey base and ashy brown hair, for example) that palette actually looks like what i’ve been searching for my whole life. people like you with very bold contrast can pull off basically ANY color, and 90% of eyeshadow palettes are VERY saturated and warm. i look bad in almost every eyeshadow look i’ve ever tried because it’s so hard to find muted/ashy versions of colors like this, but those colors look absolutely perfect for me. the matte green shade is literally my eye color. i am actually jealous of your bold coloring and how you can pull off everything, but please don’t immediately shame something that has an ashier tone, because i actually desperately need MORE colors like this in the makeup world.
Urban decay naked 2 is ashy cool ;)
@@Andy-xx3tt Oh, okay. 😢 I don't have Aurora Struck. Tbh it's too big for me, too much choice. 😆 But I get the point.
They could have done three palettes Edward, Jacob and volturi and had three different colour theory’s
Blues, gold brown and vampy reds
I think they'll make different collections for each movie maybe and the volturi don't get mentioned till the second one. I still don't like this palette tho
That’s hawt. Love that concept.
Colour stories, though, there’s only one colour theory ;)
This!

The best part of these videos is always Robert's sense of humour. And i completely agree, most times these type of palettes are not great at all. They could do much better but apparently these brands don't listen to the fans.
Thank you so much! 🖤
No matter what the video is about, I want to hear Robert’s jokes about it 😂
I agree he definitely has a carasmatic personality
I must completely agree. Just love him ❤. No need to get jealous Robert’s partner, I’m female.
Not a twilight pallet being as dusty as an original vampire in the sun. 😂
I absolutely love love how honest you are with us. Even with you getting it in PR you were still honest with your followers. That’s amazing!
I felt so cheated by the Sailor Moon collection, I am glad it was not just me. It seemed like such a missed opportunity.
yep. i was sure it would be colors that matched the different senshi. but nope.
Same. I even bought some gloss still and went ugh. Why. 😭
@@marjoriedanis9744 I swear, these collections are designed by people who don’t even bother to really study whatever the collections are based on. They just take a brief look at the aesthetic of a movie or show and go from there.
They had the opportunity to name that topper shade "this is the skin of a killer, Bella" and they fumbled it. 🖤🖤🖤🖤

I literally laughed out loud at that!! 🤣🤣
I really felt this in my SOUL😭
Love how honest you are about everything and up front about PR. And how you never pressure your viewers to purchase anything.
why did they not play into the edward vs jacob thing and create a dark deep toned palette to represent the wolves? They could have played into the pale, grey and then also made a palette that works for deeper skin tones and offered a different color story and range...
Or even split the pallet in half and have half the greys and blue and half darker deeper tones and glitters...
The Sailor Moon call out thank you!!! They really could have done so much if they had done mini pallets for each scout with colors named after their moves they could have made so much money. They missed the mark... both times
The color story of that palette is giving me very early 2000's vibes, which I guess makes sense considering when the movie came out lol
Sometimes I listen to the soundtracks bc it gives me childhood nostalgia lol 😂
Late 2000s.
It came out in 2008!

@@Nekogal21omg a Hatsune Miku collab would be amazing if done properly. 😭😭😭😭
I've been begging them for The Vampire Diaries collab for years. I really need to watch Buffy since I hear so many good things about it. I've been re watching True Blood but need to buy the Buffy series since it isn't on tv to my knowledge.

Robert, you're positively glowing. I LOVE watching you during my lectures at uni to forget about reality. THANK YOU for posting. ♥
LOL “you’ve gifted me dust” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
10:24 "i want to... scream... and burn my house down and leave" i'm so glad i'm not the only person who thought that after using a black shimmer shadow from colourpop! i have the blowin' smoke palette (formerly called smokeshow) and the first time i ever used the black shimmer i felt SO discouraged. it was exactly like what robert described here, with the shimmer completely disappearing when blended, and blending itself was also a challenge. as much as i'm glad to know it wasn't just a me problem, i'm also a little disheartened that those types of shades from colourpop haven't gotten any better in the years since then.
I purchased that exact palette when it was called Smokeshow and I feel you on every level. It wasn't terrible, but SO discouraging and messy.

The red lip oil is the biggest bummer considering its promo image. They gave us nothing.
this look is VERY new-emo in the best way possible ngl 🖤

ColourPop needed to have added the Volturi to that palette as well 😂😂
Lots of blood reds and pinks, blacks and deep greys, etc.
This palette is giving off a misty or foggy vibe. I’m not a fan of this but some people may. Thank you Robert. Great content ♥️☮️🖤
Colour Pop really wanting us running around looking like 200 year old vampires 🧛🏻♀️🤣🤣
I normally like colorpop but they missed the opportunity to make this collection a lot nicer.
Different story today
ANYWAYS!
I kind of want to get this for my sister as a joke, she was SUPER into Twilight (and Hot Topic) as a teen, lol!
The packaging of the pallete is pretty the color story not a fan. They could've done so much more
I would love to try that shimmer spray, I miss those days of the shimmer body sprays 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
🖤Appreciate the HONESTY!! Can love a brand but don’t have to love everything they make. Especially if it’s from PR. The eyeliners look cool though! 🖤
I adore your videos, i dont wear makeup that much, started watching 8 years ago to get some tips for my 50th birthday party and now im hooked 🖤🖤
Appreciate your honesty with this gift. Also how can this palette about vampires not have RED.
Honestly I have mixed feelings about Colourpop lately...
They are walking in circles, it seems, without adding anything new or improving the existing products.
Just want to thank you so much for proper subtitles 🙏🏻

I read the books and saw the movies. I go back and forth on whether or not I like them. But the makeup looks interesting.
Eyeliners look cool and I think those lip oils were made for you 🖤💜 thank you for always giving us honest reviews!
I saw this set up, but it was so expensive for such a small selection that we decided to get variety instead of the twilight name.
smart move! You can get most of the Twilight shades from the mix of older CP palettes 👍👌
Ashy shadows 😢😢 they look like dirt on the skin 😳😱😱😓
Your main channel and reaction channel have been my absolute favorites last year and this!
I love the way you said 2024 when you was talking about your crusty eye love you thanks for your honesty
The lip oil is black for Jacob’s last name and also his dark hair
The best collection Colorpop had recently was the Hauntwd Mansion and it sold out in a heartbeat with no restock. Too bad this one is another disappointment. But the dark eye look still looks good on you!
"We're getting less crusty, 2024." 😂☠️🖤
As someone who has also been struggling with winter crusties, I started using cosrx's hyaluronic acid intensive cream as my moisturizer day and night and it helps so much. I get the crusties on the corners of my mouth and eyelids in the winter also 😭
Thank you for validating my frustrations over the Sailor Moon collabs!! 😅
Im surprised the eyeshadow formula seems so lacking. Usually color pop eyeshadow is a pretty decent formula.
I haven’t bought any of their pallets, just the single colors.
I'm so happy you talked about the Sailor Moon collab. I'd love for you to do a video on colourpop merch/collab stuff you DO like :)
