I really liked this series on early space exploration missions. Thanks for great content and great research. 😊 I have a great-cousin who came up with the formula for solid rocket fuel while working for thiokol in Brigham city Utah and is also named on some of the patents for Hercules missiles like the minuteman. He passed away in 2017.
"yay they launched us into space! what were gonna do?" - "calm down, we calibrate the angles towards moon and calculate the braking" - "ok, what does this button do?" - the first landing (and escaping) was "unsure", with a Commodore64 onboard.. gg well done congrats apollomission
@@bluedotdweller no! I didn't get to see it I wish I did tho. I'm kinda upset I missed that, I've been out of the loop only with sometimes seeing anton petrovs videos every now and then. I'll definitely be getting that back out again soon either way even though I missed Like The 2 Biggest Events of the sun in decades!!!! In terms of the telescope, I was there for the eclipse
Great video, subscribed. I would have liked to see mention of the Zond 5 mission. I am surprised it is not more well known, as it was the first flight of live animals through the VAB to circle the moon and return safely to earth.
And of course I’ll comment. Pay her UA-cam! I think moon mining will herald the start of interstellar Earth. Can you imagine going to the moon so often we got bored?
Not that I'm aware of. The Apollo 14 astronauts struggled with walking longer distances from the lunar module because their space suits were so heavy (even in low lunar gravity) and they were physically exhausting themselves so much ground control got worried about their vitals (rapid breathing and heartbeat) and told them to go back to the LM and rest. But they had plenty of oxygen.
@@bluedotdweller naturally, I'm glad that precautions were obviously well thought out on that. Still, a story of almost not making it back might be as heart racing as the 1201 and 1202 alarms were hyped up to be.
Maybe this isn't the first time you've heard that. Don't worry, it's not an insult. On the contrary, it's a compliment. You look a lot like MTV's Daria. And I like the show a lot.
Hell yeah! My day is now better, thanks Blue Dot!
Wow, didn’t realize so many people had been to the moon. Thanks for the great video! Love learning something new. I look forward to the next one!
I recently found your channel and I'm very happy about it. You are a great storyteller and each video is like a journey.
Thanks for another great video.
You're so good at this! ❤️
I'm always so happy when a new video drops on your channel! Thank you :)
Thank you, Bluedot! You are my Astronomy ASMR

A great video. More moon videos please. 👍
Hi BDD. I really like what you're doing with your channel. Unfortunately UA-cam is full of naysayers and trolls. Don't let them discourage you.

this is gona be awesome
My mom was a super space nerd and we have our own telescope with a sun filter.
That's so cool! Did you take a look at that big sunspot recently?

BINGE WATCHING your channel~!!!🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏instant subscriber. Thank you!!!
Did any astronauts walk too far or too slowly such that their oxygen got troublingly low?

You are the best scientific woman!
You're Awesome!
Fantastic
Very interesting

60/100 but they as always get 10/10 for humility
I love how at 4:47 the parachute pops out as the machine lands
We just need to go ahead and put an International Lunar Base on the moon already. Just saying
Sure.
I learnt some things about history of space exploration
