I just bought a pair of sneakers, waiting for them to arrive in Australia. So much better than anything here for the money.
They're pretty great sneakers. I had to go up a half size, but they've served me really well.
These look beautiful and I've been eyeing them for a while.. I however have a wide foot so might just have to stick to the Sperry ao wides
Bummer. Maybe they’ll widen the design like they did with their boots.

@@danielchappell1672 Not in the legacy shoes unfortunately. Only a few of their premier shoes.
I also measure a 10D on Brannock and wear 10M's in most sneakers. The 10M works for me although a little snug. I hate having a sneaker is a little bit too long thus why I resisted exchanging for a 10.5. I'll also say that in terms of quality, Thursday's sneakers are clearly better quality than anything I've had from Nike (i.e. Air Monarch's).
For sure. These are much nicer than my Nikes.
I've always loved this style but I've never found any that give me enough height in the toe box.
True. It seems like they all have low profiles.
Is it recommendable to spray on some sort of protection before first wear? If so, what exactly?

Im thinking ordering a half size up vs wide option. What’s your recommendation ?
I went a half size up with mine and was really happy. I don’t have super wide feet though.
Can anyone Compare them to Cole Haan sneakers? They look great but wondering if I should stick to Cole haan or give these a shot
They have pretty easy returns if you wanted to try them on and compare.
I love my Captain and President boots but sneaker buyers beware. The Thursday high top sneakers not only run small but they are incredibly narrow even if you don’t have wide feet. You can see that many people share this opinion by looking at the lowest reviews on the Thursday site.

At $129 these are great value. Sizing was funny for me. I wear a 10.0 in the Captain boot, and I had to go up to 11.5 in these to get the right width, and my feet are fairly average. I bought and returned so many of these, Thursday probably thinks I'm crazy! My pair is in black leather.
I think these would be fair value still around $179. I also have some GREATS Royales, which are nicer than these I'd say (thicker leather, seems like better construction) but I like the Thursday design much better. And for $200+, any of the Koios or others are just overpriced in my opinion.
Wow, a full 1.5 sizes larger! I’ve heard that the high tops are pretty tricky to size too.
It’s a good thing Thursday uses Happy Returns to make all that size swapping easy. 😀

I’ve found that mine are comfortable at my true size. I have the chromexcel ones.

Thank you for sharing your sizing experience here. My foot is really a 10.5, I normally just buy 11 in all sneakers (Reebok, Nike, Under Armour, etc) and almost always seems to work out well for me, where the shoes fit perfect but are not too big. I ended up buying an 11 in the captain boot and had to exchange for a 10.5 which fit much better. As far as the premier sneakers, I was going to buy an 11 and was very secure on that. After reading your experience, I am contemplating buying an 11.5...? Just as you mentioned about yourself, I have normal width feet as well. Did you have to go to an 11.5 for width, toe box, or length reasons? Thanks for your assitance.
Sneakers like these make me wish I was more of a sneaker wearer. I mostly wear boots, but if I'm not, I prefer to be wearing runners. High quality affordable sneakers from a reputable boot company is certainly interesting though. If I was confident in their sizing, I might even get some as gifts for people who are sneaker wearers.
They really do make an easy choice for a daily driver. I don't wear boots much in the summer and lean more towards minimalist sneakers like these.

They are certainly stylish, but I also like my footwear to be functional. I like to strike a good balance. I'd definitely take a nice dark pair of these over dress shoes any day though. I freaking hate dress shoes with a passion.
@@ShadeSlayer1911 Me too! I try to avoid wearing dress shoes at all costs. 😂 I would say these are not for physical training or sports, unless you're just running across the street to get out of the rain. Being leather, they're not as cool as a mesh running shoe, but I wouldn't say they're too hot.
@@StrayReviews Thanks for the information. This is what I thought. I could get them as dress shoes, but more likely I would get them as gifts for someone else. I already have boots that I'm adamant on using as my dress shoes.
I may buy a pair for Christmas. I want to make a decision after reading reviews. My main concern is will they last me a few years. I only plan to wear them on weekends along with my boots. I’ve bought several other brands recently that are trash after a few months of daily wear. Anything under a hundred bucks seems to have issues. Moving on to better brands anyways but I like to get my money’s worth. Good thing I have mucho $ 😂
Mucho $ 😂 These are a really great bang for the buck. I haven’t had them long enough to determine how long they’ll last but so far I really like them.
Don't waste your money they are plastic not a good leather these people are misleading people with information cheap cheap
I'd love to get a pair of the high tops but they don't come in wide sizes, sadly. I'm not on the edge of wide, I have a super wide foot, lol. Maybe someday.
Bummer. Some of the low-tops come in wide, but I don't think any of the high-tops do.
How do they compare to the Grant Stone sneakers? Quality/value?
The Grant Stones are in another league altogether. At more than twice the price, you’re getting Italian veg tanned leather and Vibram soles. They both have great quality and value. They’re just on different levels.

I really like this color as well as the new butter suede option, even tho lighter suedes make me a bit nervous; keeping clean etc. It’s nice to have a quality sneaker or two in the rotation, especially during the spring/summer months. Looks like these will easily last years.
@@stephen562 Yep, lighter suedes make me nervous too. I've had the dye on my jeans come off on light suede before.

A half size up worked really well for me.

Not good sneakers design is weird. Doesn't fit well.
I had to go up a half size to get a good fit. Besides that, I’ve been happy with mine.
I purchased Thursday Boot Premiere and they were the most uncomfortable footwear I bought. My feet ache trying to walk in them. No thanks.

$129 is not a great price. I would expect that price point for a running shoe or some kind of performance shoe but not a basic flat soled shoe.
It's a pretty subjective valuation. I was comparing them to similar offerings, like the BYLT ($150) and the Beckett Simonon ($169).
Olukai is also up there, around $140
@@turnermark0608 Olukai has been a surprise hit for me. I'm definitely getting tons of wear out of them. (But yes, the $140 price tag might be tough to swallow.)

I'm very happy with my purchase. It's true to size. They are comfortable and durable sneakers. I wanted them to be more low profile
They make overpriced crap and spend TONS on elaborate advertising. Those photos of their boots are complete fiction, what you get are VERY heavy boots or shoes that look little like the picture. Dont believe the hype. Its a hustle.
I've been pretty happy with mine, but I suppose people's experiences vary.
This seems like just a commercial for some very overpriced grandpa shoes.
