Like you, I’m most thankful for my wife of 33 years. She’s always been here for me in bad & good times. She put up with me when I was away in the army and the long hours I clock in as a cop. She was in the hospital for two weeks and they were the emptiest two weeks I’ve experienced in a long time.
I am thankful for my father for teaching about knives/shooting/outdoors as a child, he was/is a collector of traditional slipjoint knives. I'm thankful for him teaching me how to sharpen and maintain my first knife which was a Victorianox SAK ..I think it was a compact? I honestly don't know for sure. He carried a SOG Tomcat and I thought it was just the coolest thing in the world. Now he carries a little Spyderco Delica because hes a old timer and the lockback and big spydey hole are easy for him to use. But definitely my father for teaching me about something that's always brought me so much joy and im also so thankful he is still here with us. Every year we still have him is a gift.
