Years ago, HGTV had actual garden programs and one of my favorites was Erica Glasener's "A Gardener's Diary", where she walked through a garden with the gardener, talking plants, etc. Your videos remind me of that wonderful series - exactly the way gardeners talk to each other when visiting each other's gardens! Wonderful work, and thank you for sharing ❤
Yes I remember that! How many home makeover contest shows with an " open concept" and grey walls featuring overly caffenated yet somehow still dull hosts can we have?
I have seen SO MANY garden videos, and this is my favorite. The garden is lovely and the narrators are mellow, well versed, and they move at an excellent pace. It seems they are in Southern California. It would have helped me to know their zone. Still it was fun to watch.
Thank you for your support and your feedback! Wholly unexpected to get this much traction on my second video! Definitely audio and video improvements to come in future videos :)
Just found your channel by accident today and oh my gosh I loved it so much. It was such a beautiful video you put together today and this garden is breathtakingly beautiful always love a good garden video and you did a beautiful job shooting this wonderful video and sharing this wonderful garden and bringing me so much joy. Hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie. I’m sure I’ll be back again soon. I am now following you. I click that little bill and I gave you a thumbs up. Thanks so much for another great video.
Thanks for a beautiful garden tour. I really loved it. Thank you so much my dear friend I watch from the beginning to the end didn’t wanna miss anything.
I love it...I can picture myself there, drinking it all in. It has always been my dream to have a "Secret Garden" like the one in the movie of the same name. thank you again
I like how Vilma tells you the the age of her plants to get an idea how fast they grow. I wish she would of added the plant size was when she first planted the plant. Lovely garden Thanks for the charming tour
She said they were starter plants in four-inch pots - any true nursery will carry that starter size for spring gardening. It is best to get them as early as they are available because the favorites and the newest varieties always go first. Besides giving the plants a good headstart it also saves you money because further into the season all you can get are more expensive full-size plants. I have a big garden so even if I buy twenty plants you can't tell I added anything and even one plant that is midsize at ten bucks is not always in the budget. Over time you get cuttings from friends, or propagate the one big plant you have to get five new ones, some plants you can simply divide. Every year I seed a few favorites in the ground and try a few different (new to me:) flowers/veggies or herbs - sometimes they all do well, sometimes you find a new favorite that is a real winner for your microclimate in your garden and other years, nothing at all works out. Plant sales by your garden clubs and Earth Day Festivals are a great source for finding cool plants and getting great advice at the same time. Good luck and Happy Gardening!
What a great garden! It looks like it would be worth a visit during all four seasons. As a long time gardener it is always a pleasure to stroll in someone elses garden and discover something new. Thanks for the garden walk and peek over the fence.
I would've liked to know the zone this garden is in from the very beginning. It helps me relate to the area of the country & the conditions the gardener deals with. Maybe you explained the zone later on, but even a scroll to say where this was would've been helpful. I've never viewed your channel before.
Hi @janereel1903! I live in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Zone 8b. The soil is rich river bed, great drainage and everything seems to grow. Where are you located?
Thank you!! Im glad someone notice that. My obsession with gardens and plants started as a kid, watching those movies over and over with my mom. seeing the characters strolling about the parks and gardens of the sets was such a happy place for me. Its only fitting that i use the song for my intro :D
Hi, I just found your channel today and I'm delighted by the beautiful gardens you are showcasing! I think the videos would be even more enjoyable if the videography could be improved. At times it felt like the camera was moving too fast or too abruptly. It also seemed like there could have been a better mix of close-ups and wide shots. I subscribed to your channel because I really like what you're doing and I'm excited to see what comes next!
Thank you for your support and your super valuable feedback! I will be more conscious of those shot styles in future Landscape Tours - and some serious audio help is coming my way! Thank you again for being a fan :)
I very much enjoy the videos on this channel. I'm hard of hearing and find the dialogue difficult to comprehend at times even with volume turned all the way up.
Thank you so much! Thank you for letting me know about the sound issues, I definitely plan to upgrade my microphone set up before filming the next round of tours! Until then, i know its not ideal, but i did make sure the subtitles are correct :)
Sadly, this video was so out of focus and difficult to hear, I ended up giving it a thumbs down...also, lots of "whipping around" with the camera...dizzying...slightly improved from time to time, but I couldn't finish the film...sorry

So beautiful and peaceful 😊

This is not in Southern California. It is in Oregon.
So beautiful. Love it. ❤️
Loved the garden thanks, especially the pond
I love the inspiration of layerings of plants. I'd love to see this at another time too, for the yellow pine and flowerings of others. Thanks
First time watcher, and I'm so delighted! I've subscribed and look forward to visiting again. Blessings!

My favourite garden on your channel so far
Thats awesome, Vilma is one of my favorite people on this planet! I’m so glad you enjoyed incredible her garden and thanks for sharing!

Lovely garden
Thanks for the charming tour
Starting at 16:20 Vilma looks so young. She resembled Lisa Marie Presley
I am sure she will be thrilled to hear that, I will let her know :)

Slugs and Hosta= I put a thin ring of Epsome Salt around the emerging leaf heads in very early spring....works great

Hi Vilma! So nice to 'see' you. What a lovely garden you created.
Hi @barbaragrant9635! I can't believe the views of this 'Over the Fence' tour. Thanks for the visit!
I very much enjoy the videos on this channel. I'm hard of hearing and find the dialogue difficult to comprehend at times even with volume turned all the way up.

Tell her I said Hi!
Poor audio kept this from being interesting😢
The volume is so low!!
Wish your sound was better. I feel there was interesting topics, but she wasn't coming in that good.
Hello❤❤❤❤❤
Looks like an interesting video but, hard to hear
I couldn't hear most of it. Too bad. Vicki
Video is not easy to watch.
Sadly, this video was so out of focus and difficult to hear, I ended up giving it a thumbs down...also, lots of "whipping around" with the camera...dizzying...slightly improved from time to time, but I couldn't finish the film...sorry
HGTV has become a real disappointment. I never watch it anymore.
