He did no hit all the boss so is a pro in that sense

I'm going in with a high Arcane build, specifically because I know Miyazaki and the gang are gonna have some drop rates in the 0.005% range, so at least I might get to see some random drops. Arcane is also great because Occult has great scaling, opening up a massive amount of weapons from the non-uniques like the Crescent Moon Axe and a trusty Lordsworn Straight Sword, among other stuff I might use (let's be honest, switching every new weapon I can equip). But I've got this combo in the back pocket if some boss absolutely destroys me (well Eleonara's in the off-hand, since it's a NG character, but close).

My current build actually is dualwielding the Godskin Peelers. One is normal, other I use Bloodflame Blade incantation. I actually beat Malenia without spirit summons using it on NG+2. Very fun weapon.
try occult great stars. more damage and stuns, easier to scale(built in bleed makes occult viewable and gives scaling for raw damage). from minuses:misses good amount coz hits just forward, a lot of stamina consumption.
Fire giant has so much resistance and health its crazy 😂

Isnt eleonoras polearm better as a bleed weapon because its bonus fire damage can reset the frost statuseffect to be resetted and applied again?
Try using the grave scythe with black flame tornado....it melts bosses when u use the ash of war
