Need I remind everyone even without destined death, lore accurate maliketh is the 2nd strongest character in this game, being a shadow to marika, meaning he has the means to actually kill her.
@@monke8949Midra, Elden Beast, Maybe Miquella, and maybe Metyr are all stronger. Miquella requires someone to empower so that’s why he’s a maybe, and Metyr is a pretty weak God as is. Malenia isn’t winning, the Rot God is objectively the weakest Outer God due to being sealed away by a mortal, even if she isn’t the weakest God (Miquella is), she’s still not even getting close to winning.

The fact that Maliketh has less HP than Death Rite birds in snowy areas. But I can see the argument since he does so much damage. But they could do a phase 2 with new health bar but you get your flasks back

Watching videos like this reminds me how I think it'd be cool if using a character's Great Rune and Weapon together also gave us their entire moveset only altered by power stancing, two handing, or spells. Especially with characters like Maliketh and Malenia.
This is a good Showing of how Maliketh can just decide if he wants to deleted someone in a split second. The moment he decides to do his 70 Aerial DD Slashes into A Spinning Slash into his 2 360 slashes it’s immediately over for whoever is in his sights
The way he moves in the mod looks so incredibly fluid, like he was originally designed to be able to chain his attacks into one another. Best part? this doesn't look like it'd be nigh-impossible to beat without something like Comet Azur or stance-abuse. His attacks still leave a lot of space that act as blind-spots that could allow a player to attack DURING his combos, while also having low enough health that using something like a Colossal Sword to attack when his combos end is still viable. THIS is how modded bosses should be designed, in a way that feels like the original boss, but with a few tweaks that change a thing or two to make it harder, while still retaining the original vision of the boss itself Also would a Battle Royale between all the "Prime" versions of the bosses be possible? Including versions like this, prime Radahn, etc? Cause I think that something as awesome as that would make a great video for something like 400K subscribers Edit: Is it just me, or does it seem like this version of Maliketh has less health that the standard one? Not complaining, I just felt something was odd

@@DuncanMaisonneuve-kk3vf No, it doesn't. Malenia and Godfrey have almost similar DPS, but Godfrey has more than 2X the health and Malenia more than 3X. And they don't constantly miss their attacks either. They're much faster and much more aggressive.

It's never waterfowl or life steal that makes Malenia fights predictable and frustrating to watch but the Aeonia nuke. Doesn't matter how strong the opponent is, once she hits everyone with that it's an auto-win for her because no AI is designed to dodge it. Only some who like to move around a lot have a chance. Good thing Maliketh is a bouncy boy! Just one tick of damage from edging near the Aeonia as it died down and at clutch health was the victor. Good to see!

Bjorn if you decide to do a tournament of broken modded bosses, remember that there is a even stronger modded version of maliketh (which builds upon this mod. ) The mod's name is "death straight up " on nexus, and there was a showcase of it a few weeks back titled "super maliketh". So if you do a video like that , please showcase it. Or you can make a vid of him going against ng+7 _armies_ (that maliketh is much tankier, on top of having a passive bestial vitality regen and even more monstrous moveset.). That is the version of maliketh people were requesting with the "super maliketh" comments.

So pretty much Fire Giant, Hora Lux (with a near death), and DragonKin of Nockstella (Stalemate) beat him. And Malenia is very close to winning so maybe she would win one out of 10 I love how the fire giant just Suplex's him after incinerating him in flames. This is one of the only times that the lore somewhat matches the in-game situation. It helps that Mal is one of the late-game bosses, so his scaling doesn't affect his lore too much, like with Morgott or Radahn. Maliketh with destined death does appear to be stronger than any demigod. He did lay waste to the gloam eyed queen and her progeny after all.

You know, for how much he needed help, Gideon DID manage to get Maliketh below half health. Makes me wonder what would have happened if Gideon didn't get trapped in a corner and Maliketh didn't yeet himself outside the fog several times.
Maliketh's weakness is his low health, and I think FromSoft didn't do him justice by making his health so low. A few of these fights he would have won if his health pool was more consistent with other end game bosses. I remember beating him on my very first try on my first playthrough and being so disappointed because I won purely based on his low health. Otherwise he probably would have obliterated me.
Maliketh is the most powerful boss lorewise not named Elden Beast, heavy adjustments had to be made. At the same time his low health can be justified by the rune of death doing numbers to him internally.
Malenia vs Maliketh was awesome, but why in the first round did Maliketh not get the last tick of the Aeonia, and why did Malenia just fall instead of doing her last stab after the clones attack?? She would have won both if those had happened...😂
Maliketh was just barely outside that aonia hitbox, won that fair. second fight is a bit sketchy tbh but i do recall one or two of her attacks(can’t remember specifically which) just cancelling out because of wonky collision. It’s happened to me a few times.
@@iamMildlyUpsetWithMostOfYouTubhe was definitely inside the hitbox, he even got one tick of damage and we all know the Aeonia is still damaging a bit after its petals fall on the ground... the 2nd one was definitely even weirder and I somewhat call rigged on him, she has never cancelled this attack ever, the only thing that can cancel it out is a grab or a bleed/frost prock, which none happened. And that stab does over 2k damage, it would have won her the entire thing.
I like how the godskins win through it feels like that unique incantation we see them use to bring eachother back which almost seems to work like tears of denial but if it linked 2 people together... Honedtly i wamt a godslayer incant for that in the dlc that lets you have the old tears of denial but themed around those who use destined death being able to deny death but at the cost perhaps of burning away their life so you can use it over and over but each use permanently hits your bar with 10% less max hp with the destined death burnout effect for at least a minute if not a few minutes AND uses a full fp vut refunds it to you IF it pops
Allow me to paint a picture of just how powerful Maliketh is at full strength: 1. Picture Queen Marika at the height of her power, with the full power of the Elden Ring. 2. Replace the Elden Ring with Destined Death. 3. Maliketh defeated THAT without the Rune of Death. 4. Now imagine THAT Maliketh WITH the Rune of Death.
@@TarnishedEldenKing there isn't actually any good metric to measure just how powerful Marika is. After all, most of the Golden Order's defining victories were not necessarily won by her, but by specific individuals serving the Golden Order (Gloam-Eyed Queen and Godskins were defeated by Maliketh, Fire Giants and Storm Lord were defeated by Godfrey, Ancient Dragons were defeated by Godwyn). If you think about it, there's actually few noteworthy feats that the Golden Order has done within the Lands Between that can be directly attributed to Marika's power specifically. Even her male half Radagon didn't actually defeat the Carian Royal Family, but married their matriarch Rennala to align them with the Golden Order. If anything, Marika's strength seems to come from her ability to handpick the proper individuals to perform the tasks best suited for them. Now, if we are to take that Elden Beast would be what Marika's peak of power is at, remember that it is specifically Destined Death (Rune of Death) that allows us to kill Elden Beast in the end. So as far as straight-up fights are concerned, Maliketh has the proper tool to actually beat Marika if they ever actually got into a serious fight. The same cannot be said for Marika herself because as mentioned before, we see very little in terms of lore where she showcases her powers and prowess in battle.

The problem with gauging maliketh power and gloam eyed queen is we never get any idea how strong the gloam eyed queen is, hence its hard to know. However there is the speculation that she is melina but thats just speculation.
He barely survived Malenia in both rounds. If she was more aggressive in the first round and had completed her clone attack in the second round, he would have been done.
He was also rot immune it seemed like. Though Malenia has the more powerful lore after reading it carefully it pretty much states she is the strongest. Maliketh was fierce but gods feared him once he obtained death as it mean he had the ability to perma kill people. Though Ranni gauged Preator Rykard as being stronger then Maliketh.

The other bosses were at NG+7 stats while Maliketh was at base stats, that’s why they hit so hard. Otherwise he’d have blown through them even easier.

This is one of the only times that the lore somewhat matches the in-game situation. It helps that Mal is one of the late-game bosses, so his scaling doesn't affect his lore too much, like with Morgott or Radahn. Maliketh with destined death does appear to be stronger than any demigod. He did lay waste to the gloam eyed queen and her progeny after all.

You know, for how much he needed help, Gideon DID manage to get Maliketh below half health. Makes me wonder what would have happened if Gideon didn't get trapped in a corner and Maliketh didn't yeet himself outside the fog several times.
Maliketh's weakness is his low health, and I think FromSoft didn't do him justice by making his health so low. A few of these fights he would have won if his health pool was more consistent with other end game bosses. I remember beating him on my very first try on my first playthrough and being so disappointed because I won purely based on his low health. Otherwise he probably would have obliterated me.
Maliketh is the most powerful boss lorewise not named Elden Beast, heavy adjustments had to be made. At the same time his low health can be justified by the rune of death doing numbers to him internally.
id love to play a game like pre eldin ring, where you play as a "tester" and see how strong these guys were in there prime

Malenia vs Maliketh was awesome, but why in the first round did Maliketh not get the last tick of the Aeonia, and why did Malenia just fall instead of doing her last stab after the clones attack?? She would have won both if those had happened...😂
Maliketh was just barely outside that aonia hitbox, won that fair. second fight is a bit sketchy tbh but i do recall one or two of her attacks(can’t remember specifically which) just cancelling out because of wonky collision. It’s happened to me a few times.
@@iamMildlyUpsetWithMostOfYouTubhe was definitely inside the hitbox, he even got one tick of damage and we all know the Aeonia is still damaging a bit after its petals fall on the ground... the 2nd one was definitely even weirder and I somewhat call rigged on him, she has never cancelled this attack ever, the only thing that can cancel it out is a grab or a bleed/frost prock, which none happened. And that stab does over 2k damage, it would have won her the entire thing.

I like how the godskins win through it feels like that unique incantation we see them use to bring eachother back which almost seems to work like tears of denial but if it linked 2 people together... Honedtly i wamt a godslayer incant for that in the dlc that lets you have the old tears of denial but themed around those who use destined death being able to deny death but at the cost perhaps of burning away their life so you can use it over and over but each use permanently hits your bar with 10% less max hp with the destined death burnout effect for at least a minute if not a few minutes AND uses a full fp vut refunds it to you IF it pops
Allow me to paint a picture of just how powerful Maliketh is at full strength:
1. Picture Queen Marika at the height of her power, with the full power of the Elden Ring.
2. Replace the Elden Ring with Destined Death.
3. Maliketh defeated THAT without the Rune of Death.
4. Now imagine THAT Maliketh WITH the Rune of Death.
Marika is stronger than maliketh, he is literally her hound, he isnt even a god.
Marika is the only god from this world.

After all, most of the Golden Order's defining victories were not necessarily won by her, but by specific individuals serving the Golden Order (Gloam-Eyed Queen and Godskins were defeated by Maliketh, Fire Giants and Storm Lord were defeated by Godfrey, Ancient Dragons were defeated by Godwyn). If you think about it, there's actually few noteworthy feats that the Golden Order has done within the Lands Between that can be directly attributed to Marika's power specifically. Even her male half Radagon didn't actually defeat the Carian Royal Family, but married their matriarch Rennala to align them with the Golden Order.
If anything, Marika's strength seems to come from her ability to handpick the proper individuals to perform the tasks best suited for them. Now, if we are to take that Elden Beast would be what Marika's peak of power is at, remember that it is specifically Destined Death (Rune of Death) that allows us to kill Elden Beast in the end. So as far as straight-up fights are concerned, Maliketh has the proper tool to actually beat Marika if they ever actually got into a serious fight. The same cannot be said for Marika herself because as mentioned before, we see very little in terms of lore where she showcases her powers and prowess in battle.

@@Xolcm where does it say that marika is an empyrean, there three empyreans so far...malenia, miquella and ranni...marika is never mentioned as one, i guess she is an elden ring vessel so she qualifies.

The problem with gauging maliketh power and gloam eyed queen is we never get any idea how strong the gloam eyed queen is, hence its hard to know. However there is the speculation that she is melina but thats just speculation.

He was also rot immune it seemed like. Though Malenia has the more powerful lore after reading it carefully it pretty much states she is the strongest. Maliketh was fierce but gods feared him once he obtained death as it mean he had the ability to perma kill people. Though Ranni gauged Preator Rykard as being stronger then Maliketh.

Fearing Maliketh doesn’t mean they’re weaker than him.
