- In this elden ring video I'm testing if any of the strongest NG+7 bosses in elden ring can survive a lore accurate Maliketh.
To test this I'm using a very cool mod made by the same creator of the unalloyed Malenia that makes Maliketh way more aggressive and also enables him to grab onto walls outside of his usual arena.

I love that Destined Death attacks can damage phase 1 Rennala through her shield. Whether it was intended or just a programming oversight it definitely hammers home the idea that Destined Death is the most powerful force in the Lands Between

I rewatched this part carefully because of the in-game implications. First off Maliketh definitely can't hit through Rennala's Shield at 100%. BUT from what I could tell it appears that each Singing-Child that dies makes the Rennala-shield a little less than 100% immunity. Maliketh doesn't start hurting Rennala until at least one Singing-Child dies. So my assumption is that each killed child makes the shield 1% to 33% weaker, or from 100% to 99%-66%. This probably means that you could kill 1 or 2 of the Singing-kids, then go ahead and Frostbite or Debuff Rennala before finishing the 3rd child, to make it easier to 1-phase her.
@@zinkist I think it’s just that they made the barrier an extension of her body/hitbox and just made her damage negation 100% and immune to buildup status effects while the barrier’s up or something like that. However, this would mean that percentile damage things (destined death, blackflame, scarlet rot, etc.) still do damage under it. Have tested in vanilla and you can do damage with blackflame even if the barrier’s at 100%

The fact that Maliketh has less HP than Death Rite birds in snowy areas. But I can see the argument since he does so much damage. But they could do a phase 2 with new health bar but you get your flasks back

@@DuncanMaisonneuve-kk3vf No, it doesn't. Malenia and Godfrey have almost similar DPS, but Godfrey has more than 2X the health and Malenia more than 3X. And they don't constantly miss their attacks either. They're much faster and much more aggressive.
@@gangzilla5716 Yes, and they kill him in 3 hits. Every other endgame boss like the Fire Giant or Malenia would probably still win these.

I’m so unbelievably happy to finally see phase 2 mohg included in the video! My favorite boss in the game and he almost always gets cheesed or instantly wins with nihil. Would love to see more of this!
The way he moves in the mod looks so incredibly fluid, like he was originally designed to be able to chain his attacks into one another.
Best part? this doesn't look like it'd be nigh-impossible to beat without something like Comet Azur or stance-abuse. His attacks still leave a lot of space that act as blind-spots that could allow a player to attack DURING his combos, while also having low enough health that using something like a Colossal Sword to attack when his combos end is still viable.
THIS is how modded bosses should be designed, in a way that feels like the original boss, but with a few tweaks that change a thing or two to make it harder, while still retaining the original vision of the boss itself
Also would a Battle Royale between all the "Prime" versions of the bosses be possible? Including versions like this, prime Radahn, etc? Cause I think that something as awesome as that would make a great video for something like 400K subscribers
Edit: Is it just me, or does it seem like this version of Maliketh has less health that the standard one? Not complaining, I just felt something was odd
The other bosses were at NG+7 stats while Maliketh was at base stats, that’s why they hit so hard. Otherwise he’d have blown through them even easier.

It's never waterfowl or life steal that makes Malenia fights predictable and frustrating to watch but the Aeonia nuke. Doesn't matter how strong the opponent is, once she hits everyone with that it's an auto-win for her because no AI is designed to dodge it. Only some who like to move around a lot have a chance.
Good thing Maliketh is a bouncy boy! Just one tick of damage from edging near the Aeonia as it died down and at clutch health was the victor. Good to see!
@@jahrfuhlnehm that's the only reason Malenia wins in all of these. I know she's pretty much statistically the strongest, but quite a few bosses would beat her if it weren't for the stupid space aids nuke

Lore accurate Godfrey, please. I understand that he's just Godfrey with more shockwaves, but that doesn't change the fact that we need lore accurate Godfrey. Also, I'd love to see a vs bosses against the grave Sentinel boss recently released in the Elden Ring: Reforged mod.
Lore accurate Godfrey would just be the normal fight except hoarah loux phase would just be shockwaves from each swing and can’t get staggered.

maybe Godfrey/Hoarah Loux but at his prime or in his younger past self
the Godfrey/Hoarah Loux we met was still a Tarnished returned from his death at something terrible & stronger than him, and he is still the Godfrey/Hoarah Loux whose light in his eyes had turned dull from being bossed around by Marika
I think he already made a "Prime Hoarah Loux" but it's not as accurate as it should
Watching videos like this reminds me how I think it'd be cool if using a character's Great Rune and Weapon together also gave us their entire moveset only altered by power stancing, two handing, or spells. Especially with characters like Maliketh and Malenia.

Maliketh was already my favorite Boss in the game. Now he’s my favorite boss in history.
Lore Accurate Maliketh should've had greater attack damage, speed/agility and dodging too, maybe even some more health
Mogh has two outcomes: gets deleted before Nihil, or absolutely obliterates. That may have been the biggest turn around I have ever seen. Also Hoarah Loux surviving this probably single digit HP. What an absolute giga-WARRIOR!
He could have won easier if he’d attacked while malekith was in posture break, but he waited for him to get up so it would be a fair fight!

The Destined Death max HP debuff (the gray portion of the health bar) wore off.

Bjorn if you decide to do a tournament of broken modded bosses, remember that there is a even stronger modded version of maliketh (which builds upon this mod. ) The mod's name is "death straight up " on nexus, and there was a showcase of it a few weeks back titled "super maliketh".
So if you do a video like that , please showcase it. Or you can make a vid of him going against ng+7 _armies_ (that maliketh is much tankier, on top of having a passive bestial vitality regen and even more monstrous moveset.). That is the version of maliketh people were requesting with the "super maliketh" comments.

@@BjornTheBear Even if you pan the camera to a far distance? I played it, and the camera was zoomed enough that the camera shake wasn't an issue. (Although I don't know why the attacks literally blinded the screen 🤣 )

Need I remind everyone even without destined death, lore accurate maliketh is the 2nd strongest character in this game, being a shadow to marika, meaning he has the means to actually kill her.
Hoarah Loux clutched it hard. I honestly thought they’re gonna end up in a stalemate but dayum that was pretty intense.

I wonder if Fire Giant is bugged or if it is intended that the destined death attacks deal so little damage against him considering they ought to do a certain percentual amount of the enemies max hp as damage especially when compared to how quickly rykard died🤔

I truly feel like godfrey and hoarah loux are 2 different character objects, because every single status effect does half the damage it should do (bleeding is the best example since it's doing pure % damage and not % + raw)

30 seconds (since the fight ends at 25:22) is all destined death (DD) needs to kill rick, dealing 88613 dmg. When in doubt, level up your faith - it works against all types of foes, even one from a meme

Wait. What is that giant red eye "aura" around Maliketh at 6:15? I never noticed that before. What does it mean lore-wise? Is it meant to represent Destined Death's eye? As in Destined Death is an Outer God or something? Giant eyes often represent an Outer God's presence in Elden Ring, like with the Fire Giant's transformation. Also, Destined Death belonged to the Gloam-Eyed Queen before being stolen by Marika the Eternal and given to Maliketh for safekeeping. Given the fact Queen Marika was the chosen representative and Avatar to the Greater Will, it would make sense she would want to expunge the Lands Between of death's influence, especially if it was literally an opposing Outer God to the Greater Will, which brought immortality to all inhabitants of the Lands Between. There are also many theories suggesting Melina is/was the Gloam-Eyed Queen due to her red hair and the fact she has a missing eye. Perhaps Melina was Destined Death's Avatar just like Marika/Radagon were the Greater Will's Avatar. This of course assuming Destined Death is an actual Outer God and not just a natural process of the Lands Between.
