Side note about the meatballs, please don't judge IKEA meatballs vs the "real" ones we make. I say they are meatballs but they aren't even close in taste vs meatballs you make from a good recipe here in sweden, but then again they are mass produced to have a decent enough taste when you visit IKEA:

Finland was part of Sweden for ca. 500 years from the year 1323 to 1809, so part of Swedish history is part of Finnish history and vice versa. E.g. haft of those settlers in the New Sweden were Finns. Here's a video about the subject and that cabin: "Why is the Oldest Finnish Log Cabin in New Jersey?". Log houses seems to have a place in people hearts considering how many views this video has gotten. Probably too long video to react to, but if you're interested to watch it anyways: "Traditional Finnish Log House Building Process". Here's that log house 30 years later: "Traditional Finnish Log House/Cabin in 1988 and 2019". Here's some videos for someone who's interested in forestry and wood as a building material. First video is about a traditional Finnish farm house: "MY DREAM 1800 FARM HOUSE HOMESTEAD IN FINLAND". A Finnish sauna in the US: "Finlandia Foundation National An Authentic Finnish Sauna". Speaking about suppression and persecution. "Findians | FINNISH AMERICAN INDIANS". This one is about the world's largest wooden church built in the year 1847: "Expoza Travel Kerimäen Kirkko (Finland) Vacation Travel Video Guide". Here's a stool, which is featured in MoMA's design collection: "The Most Popular Stool of All Time | Behind The HYPE: Stool 60". Speaking of design and settlers, the Gateway Arch was designed by a Finnish American architect: "Eero Saarinen and the Gateway Arch Design History". This video probably doesn't address all the problems relating the subject, but does tell things about the Finns relationship with forest: "Forest Republic of Finland - Forest Relationship is Genuine and Unique for Finns". A video about the world's biggest orienteering relay event: "Lukkari-Jukola 2022 Official Aftermovie". About wood as a modern building material: "Inside Finland's $130 Million Wooden City". About the Oodi library. "Is Oodi the world's greatest library? "Oodi" - Helsinki Central Library - Finland". And about wood as a possible replacement for plastic: "How to make plastic from trees (and not fossil fuels)".

The climate is milder, we might not get any snow at all and during the darkest period we still get around 6 hours of daylight. Summers are a bit longer and winter a lying shorter. The North is absolutely beautiful but the majority of the population lives in the Southern half.

the Swedish meatball was described in Kajsa Warg's cookbook from 1754. the origin is Turkey Köfte but with slightly different spices. became popular in the mid-19th century when the meat grinder came to every household. the recipe consisted of what we could grow as well as some imported things in Sweden at the time. mixed mince, onion, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, mustard, salt and pepper, I see that as the classic recipe for ordinary households. everything else for seasoning came in the 20th century. I think it's the seasoning that makes them Swedish. then you can spice up the taste with other things, but then it's not classic in my opinion.

No, one is awarded in Norway, it is the peace prize. Norway was in a Union with Sweden at the time, but around the time Nobel died, voices had begun to grow for Norway to break away from the Union. Probably a little to give strength to the voices that wanted a peaceful withdrawal from the Union, Norway received the peace prize. And it ended up being a peaceful dissolution of the Union.

You are right. This does however change so often that it is impossible to plan for.
In 1980 i was 8 y old and had a weakly alowans of 10 kr. Inflation makes that 41 kr today and the failure of the Swedish politicians didn't exactly help. My closest friend lost his father and hence payed more than 200 000 yearly in taxes for the money/fortune he wasn't allowed to touch before he was 18 y old.
I'll accep almost everything but changes makes planning impossible.
Sweden once had 101% income tax for the richest. When Astrid Lindgren exposed this, she was called 'a lying rightist extremist' by media and every (no exception) politician. When she went public with her economy, nobody mentioned it but EVERYONE went silent and the taxes was changed.
Cool fact. I once bought a/my house for 1 500 000 kr. I later spent 505 000 to buy the land that is below the house. If i sell today i would get between 3 and 4 million kr for the house alone (i would still own the land).
I have the original deed that say that the house costed 50 000 (that included a garage and some fencing) when brand new and the land it occupied costed 96 kr per year in rent. One naighbor pay 126 000 kr annually, for the area that costed 96 kr in the 1950s
If they can't take your money by taxing it, it will still disappear from inflation.

Volvo is NOT Swdish anymore, since.... I think it was GM that bought them.... Normaly it wouldn´t matter much, but he changes they incorperated has made it so that Volvo can´t be seen as a Swedish company after they bought it. When it comes to the Nobel price, all is given in Stockholm, with the exception of the peace price, thats normaly is given out in Oslo, Norway.. I am not sure what started the Donald Duck thing, but I do know that we have had a cartoon magazine that first came out in 1948 called Donald Duck and C/O (ofcourse in Swedish it´s Kalle Anka och Company). That might be a large part of why Donald Duck is bigger than Mickey Mouse over here.

So much missinformation... At least google the stuff you're unsure about before posting. Volvo AB (trucks, busses, construction equipment and marine propulsion) is still Swedish owned. Volvo Cars is owned by Geely which is a Chinese company. They have not made any major changes aside from investing money and the cars are still designed and developed in Gothenburg, Sweden so they are very much still considered Swedish (just like IKEA is despite them now being registered in foundations in Luxemburg and the Netherlands.) Most people would even say Volvo Cars as a brand has gotten much more popular and recognized worldwide since Geely bought them from Ford (not GM) in 2010.

The video really missed one huge part reg. music. Especially influence on american music. A lot of the mayor US hits are actually produced by Swedish producers, the late Dennis Pop and Max Martin. They produced lots of no 1 hits for example: Taylor Swift, Katy Parry Backstreet Boys, N'sync, Brittney Spears, etc. Once working together but after Dennis passing, Max Martin is still going strong.
He has to this date written / Co-written 25 Billboard #1 songs.
