►A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I'm Dean Wolfe, a mostly self-taught Canadian guitarist/composer/multi-instrumentalist/singer/producer/performer. I started out as a full time musician, on the road at age 17-19, then went part-time ever since, holding 'day-careers' like chef (red seal papers), spiritual health care while raising a family. As a producer I've made hundreds of my own songs for media and award winning documentaries etc. I've been in several bands including a prog/jazz fusion act nFuze, playing International Jazz festivals and jazz clubs. I like to explore grunge, pop rock and alternative, alt-folk / acoustic fingerstyle guitar, ambient electronic and classical as well. Recently i 'discovered' shoegaze and lo-fi. I have a home studio that is ramping up for lots more music so stay tuned.

It was their 10th anniversary tour. They went big.
Dean, the next Band-Maid song that you should react to is "Bestie", the official music video. It's a new release and I would describe it as beautiful in so many ways. Beautiful music, beautiful lyrics, beautiful sound, beautiful setting, and the Maids are all beautiful in their (not typical) outfits. This is just a wonderful, sweet song with Band-Maids unique rock twist.

Like you I did not care much for Saiki's voice when I first started to listen to them. Things changed quickly and I have fallen in love with that voice. With every new song now, I can't wait to hear where she is going to take me with that wonderful instrument she has. So much control and passion and musicallity in her voice. There are songs were I just sit and wait for a certain part just to have her enthrall me. Great reaction Dean! I have subscribed and am looking forward to traveling with you on your musical journey that hopefully includes more Band Made - the greatest rock/metal band in the world today!

Re: Saiki-san’s vocals. I felt the same in the beginning but her range has expanded. And her timbre… I never get tired of it.
Great to see you reacting to another Band-Maid song. It’s been a while. I share your sentiment regarding Saiki’s voice. My understanding is that she’s worked really hard with a vocal coach and it shows.

Ref. the "rotation rule" of the radio station that your sister worked at...I strongly suspect that, for most in the Western music industry, it's still the 1990s (at least in the sense of a female artist's place in the greater scheme of things [unless they're named Tom, er, Taylor Swift]).
