Hi Tony, they have just celebrated their 100th birthday, so they are still going strong. They were mainly in Japan but are now trying to spread around the world .
Hi Mate, Yeah, if your doing bigger items with a smaller gun it's quite important to keep everything nice and tight because it takes a while to complete the item, so if you notice a dryer area afterwards it's hard to go back as the new material just won't blend with what you did earlier. Obviously, it depends on what materials you are using, together with hardener speed and, of course, most importantly, temperature. Good to hear you enjoy the videos mate, thanks for watching. It is much appreciated 👍
Hi Pete, that's another lovely little gun you have there mate the Meiji did a great job on both the base and clear plus you got a very nice finish from the clear which looks very flat and glassy👌you mentioned that the gun is well made and from my experience from using your Finer Core (which is now on it's last legs🤭) I can say they are of a very high quality and made better than most guns costing twice the price👏👏 Cheers Pete👍
Hi John, Yes, it's a lovely little gun mate. As you know, I like my little ones as much as my bigger ones 😀 My poor old Finer Core, if it's worn-out mate, then you may as well bin it for me. It seems silly sending it back 😜 😉 🤣 Cheers, John, I appreciate it as always, mate 👍
Yeah you always have liked the smaller guns which are ideal for bike parts and even pushbike frames, haven't seen you do any for a while mate you always did a great job on them👌I was considering getting an old frame to mess around with🤔it should be easy enough to hang it in my booth not sure if I would like it though🤷♂ I was thinking the same about the Finer Core mate but I wouldn't want to bin it as it would look nice sitting in my gun rack😁🤭🤣 Cheers boss loving your work buddy👏👍
@JohnWD40TC02 Yeah, I haven't done a bike frame in a while, I did a few for myself and some for others, but the motorcycle stuff seems to have taken over. I am more set up now for bike frames with my plotter as decals wouldn't be a problem. Hopefully, one will come along. I think with you, it would all come down to if you fancied a challenge. They are far more fiddly than the stuff you do and easy to get wrong but rather satisfying when you get there. I think you would enjoy the challenge, maybe try a multi-coloured job or fading colour's into each other. Cheers mate, sorry the Finer Core didn't last long, I must have abused it before you got it 😉
Hello Pete. Have you ever considered holding a workshop day once or twice a year ? I would love to attend if you ever did one. I'm sure plenty of folk would. An introduction to mini gun painting kinda thing. Paint types/different quality recommendations/gun trials/prep basics/gun care/paint practical etc.. £100 quid a pop or whatever, i think it would be popular. Lads like myself who have the aptitude but little experience and would love to know where to start
Hi Adam, I have been asked before about doing just that. The biggest problem with anything involving others is public safety, its fine when your doing your own thing, but once you get others involved it has potential for all sorts of repercussions , so, as good an idea as it is, it's something that I would never want to do, just in case there was a problem. Hopefully, you can learn from the videos. If you are stuck on something, then message me, and I'll try and help. Cheers, mate 👍
Hello, it's nice to hear about your youtube channel. Hope you review the feel and use of the Kiwami 1 - 14b8 gun of the iwata family. Thank you very much
@@peteshobbies5383 I watched that video. But it's 13b8 needles 1.3 specializing in color. And I'm 14b8 needle head 1.4 specializing in balls. Don't know much difference?
@@peteshobbies5383 Thank you, in the same lines of iwata kiwami kim 1.4 used for shading. Can you tell me, adjust the paint level and how much psi wind is reasonable
Hi buddy, It's quite an expensive gun and at 0.5 there are lots of choices, like this one, which is good and cheaper, that's why I think you won't find anything on the Ego 190 in 0.5mm
@@peteshobbies5383 I see because I’m getting into hydrodipping and it will be small panels or parts and the EGO 190 is an “HTE” HALO I felt like it will be a the best option with a 0.5 on it 🤔
@ali-sleimanchehade6129 HALO is the same as there HTE, Walcom loves changing names, but the product is the same. For me, the Walcom 190 Ego is their worst gun, I don't think it's that good, and it's definitely overpriced
Hi Rob, Yes, I think they are aiming at the same market, I have never used the Porphis R2-F, so I don't know if it's built quality is as good, I don't even know what sort of price they are
hi pete would this gun be good to paint alloy wheels 17 inch and bigger thinking of a new smaller gun.8/1.0/1.2 bit of a devilbiss fan but thinking of a change thanks
Hi Mate, Yes, I've used this for alloys before, and it's excellent, bigger alloys with fewer spokes. You may find it too slow, but for more complex wheels, it's ideal
I was surprised to see this company is still around. I had a Meiji way back in the 80's lol..
