I’m thrilled you’ve joined in with the floss tube gangs. Really enjoyed your parade . Your HAED is stunning. Simply gorgeous. Can’t wait for your next video, which popped up this morning. So happy❤
Love seeing your WIPs, especially the Animal Kingdom shelf. You have quite a few WIPs that I have never seen before such as Birds at the Water Pump and the Chameleon piece. It's always a delight when you come across new patterns and companies.
Thanks Yoshi 😊 The chameleon was finally finished in my last video 😄 And the Birds at the Water Pump is untouched 😂 I can't seem to stop the new starts at the moment!
Hi Cat! I'm so excited for you and your new flosstube! Love Bothy Threads. Such beautiful designs. Oh my goodness! Your HAED is beautiful! 98% is awesome! Lanarte patterns are pretty. I don't have any, but I do like Birds At The Water Pump. I love your snowman. Love the colors. I like the coffee cup and the colors. I'd like to see it released! Your flosstube is perfect, and I look forward to flosstube #2 🌷 Have a wonderful week!
Thank you so much for your lovely words and I'm so happy you're enjoying my FlossTube 😄 I shall definitely be doing more! It's good to know you're liking the coffee cup...I'll get my backside in gear and finish it 😂
Thanks for sharing all ur wips. It is interesting to see what others are doing. I just love doing florals, animals, mostly domestic ones & also positive sayings. I hope u will finish ur floral heart stitch. It is beautiful. Concerning ur coffee cup stitch, i just love coffee with its many flavors & options, but i truly think it needs a big beautiful ceramic cup for stitching. Ya know i don't think i have ever seen a big beautiful ceramic cup stitching about coffee. Seems like there would be so many options.
Yay! I'm delighted you enjoyed my flosstube and I think I am feeling more motivated to finish the floral wreath now I've looked at it again! That's a really great idea for a big ceramic coffee cup 😃 I have a small coffee cup design but there's always room for more coffee designs 😂
Really excited to have discovered you today. I have your otters favourited on Etsy but didn't realise that you had a youtube channel. Great to have another UK flosstuber. Thought I would start with this first video and enjoyed seeing all your wips, will now catch up with your most recent ones. x
Thank you for your lovely comment 😊 I am so enjoying making the Flosstubes as well as the tips/tutorials and I'm glad you're enjoying watching them 😄 x
So many WIPS! And impressively organised! I do hope you get around to finishing the floral heart as it's so pretty. It would be good to share a photo of the framed Wrendale animals on your hall wall maybe. Congrats on 1000 subscriber's x
I didn't realise I had quite so many WIPs until I gathered them all together 😂 It was good to organise them all into one box with the project sheets. I'm definitely planning on sharing the Wrendale gallery in a future video 😃
Congratulations on 1K subscribers - well deserved 👏👏👏 Thanks for sharing your work with us. The Heaven and Earth piece is AMAZING! (My 'labour of love' is about half that size and about 25% done. I ambitiously and naively thought it would be my 40th birthday gift to myself, but it's looking more like 50th... 😅) Would you consider showing us some of your finished, framed pieces please? (I wouldn't consider it bragging) Your work is beautiful, and there's nothing more satisfying than when all your hard work is beautifully displayed on a wall to enjoy. 🙂
Thank so much and it's lovely comments like yours that make this so worthwhile 😄 I'm so excited to finish my HAED...maybe only 3 weeks to go now! You'll get there with yours too; every stitch is progress 😃 I'll definitely show some finished pieces in future Flosstubes, including ones I have framed but some smaller finishes too. Thanks so much for your support on my channel 😄 Kat x
@@catkinandlillie I'm glad I found your channel, it's been such a pleasure to watch (and so many useful tips). Just this week I presented my Mum with her 70th birthday present - a pair of professionally framed cross-stitches I'd made. She loved them, and I was so pleased to have created something special for her I know she will enjoy for years. There's something special and somewhat addictive about cross stitch!
@@catsarethebestpeople5790 Being able to give such lovely thoughtful gifts is definitely a great bonus of cross stitch and I'm sure your Mum will treasure them 😄
I finally came to visit!!!! Yippee!!!!! ❤ it was so nice to see your wips as other than your own designs, I had no idea of what you would be working on. You most definitely need to get back to that Dimensions kit as it looks so bright and pretty! And that Durene Jones Santa one is so gorgeous!!! And also, much bigger than I expected.
Yayyyy!!! Thanks for visiting and it's been so nice to share what I like to stitch because it's pretty different to what I design! I knew you were going to love the Dimensions kit...I mean, it's Dimensions 😂 I will finish it though. I want to finish the Santa one and then it's flower time 😄 I hope you'll enjoy more of my Flosstubes; it's so fun to make them and you've definitely been an inspiration for me to do it so thank you 😄🩷
@@catkinandlillie I was actually really surprised to see you stitching a haed! Your designs are so clean and sharp and I was really curious to ask how you have felt about the haed design being so fuzzy/pixel-y? Did it bother you at all? Well, obviously you have loved stitching it as it is massive and you have probably now finished it. Lol. Look forward to your video about it!
Yeah, I have quite different taste in what I stitch and what I design! I loved the pixelness (might have made up that word!) of the HAED and the detail is incredible 😄 I've been filming today for my video on it so I'll be editing tomorrow and I have a (hopefully) very cool time lapse of my progress through it to sort out and video will be up Weds morning 😄
@@catkinandlillie That is so interesting!!! I talked about this same thing with someone else once and they also said how they enjoy how detailed the haeds are. The funny thing is that because of the fuzziness of the lines etc, I don’t find them detailed at all. For me, backstitched designs are usually the very detailed ones. But then another stitchy friend said that she doesn’t often like to stitch backstitched designs as they don’t really look like anything until you get to the backstitching so it gets boring for her. I find it so fascinating how differently we all look at designs. No wonder there is such a huge variety of designs out there. Definitely something for everyone. ❤️
Welcome to FlossTube. Looking forward to more cross-stitch content from your channel. Amazing job on that HAED. How are you going to frame that monster - or will it be a lovely afghan for a sofa or a child's nursery bed? Just kidding.
Thanks so much! That HAED is certainly big enough for an afghan (😂) but I think I'll get it framed...and then I just need to find the right spot to hang it up!
Thank you I love your wips especially your HAED. I need some advice, I came to cross only a few years ago and I am much older than most stitchers. I have just binned a cross stitch that I was working on. I kit up all my own cross stitches. I have a 18 count small cross stitch which I need to get finished by December and I also have a very large Mystic Stitch Fractal which I have started. I am not sure whether I should stick with the small fun piece and finish it and then get onto the fractal or alternate them. Having just binned a cross stitch, I am a bit hesitant in case I made more mistakes. I like the idea of you run sheets where you keep a tally of what you are doing. I have quite a few patterns on PK that I would like to do, but as they are all large, I don't think feel I should do too many large pieces in case I never get them finished. Do you ever feel like that or do you have enough smaller stitches to balance out say the HAED size pieces. Any advice you could give me would be very much appreciated. Look forward to the new FlossTube video.
I think the number of WIPs and how you choose to work on them is a really personal thing so I can only really speak to how I enjoy it most. I definitely like to have multiple WIPs so I can choose what I most feel like stitching on and mix it up a bit. I don't think I would like to have more than 1 really big project, like my HAED, at the same time. Like you I would be worried about never finishing projects. Alongside the HAED I like to have several medium and small projects. I don't have any kind of rotation to stitch them, I just pick up whichever I fancy at the time. But I think rotations or specific times to stitch specific projects can work well too. I hope maybe that helps a little but I also think I will make a video about this because I think it could be helpful or at least interesting to other cross stitchers too, so thank you for the inspiration 😃

Different kinds of detail I guess! I like backstitch but it would have been a bit much on a design the size of the HAED 😬
