Your guitar course taught me the basics of guitar playing. Over the last 8 years you’ve taught me how to play countless numbers of songs. You really are the SUPERSTAR of on line guitar tutors. Your simple version of Maggie May is still the best version I’ve ever heard and I’ve had the immense pleasure of teaching my grandchildren how to play it. Long may you reign as The SUPERSTAR Guitar Tube on UA-cam 👍👍
I started at 40 and after a month or two quit. I picked it back up at 56 and a bit over 2 months I am stuck, sore fingers, and no calluses. Bit depressed about that, but I am determined (arthritis permitting on all these rainy days we have been having).
Fabulous lesson for a beginner! I'm teaching a 9 year old to play guitar, and after only one week she got the basics of Wild Thing thanks to this great video!
Hi Andy, thank you so much. I really appreciate your videos. I'm 11 years old and have been playing guitar since last August. Could you please help me with "Song of the sea" I really like that song.

Brilliant instruction Andy! I love your teaching style, and will surely buy the full lessons as soon as I have worked through the introductory lessons that you have so generously provided on your website.
Hi I am 66, first time picking up a guitar & in 3 days I've learned so much. I want to know where to find the songs you are teaching in full, not just the lesson part. Like Wild Thing, or all of the other beginner songs. Thank you.
Andy, can you many play this song slow, but play it through from the beginning to the end without explaining anything please!! You are my inspiration, I love your lessons so much, but you can help me more by on the end of your lessons just to play the song. So I can sit back and listen to the courts and how it should sound. And you do have a beautiful voice...
Thanks bro. If education wasn't stuck in the Prussian factory worker model from the 19th century, every student would graduate high school with a passionate love and expertise in one form of art or another: music, poetry, painting, drawing stories, creative fiction writing, photography, videography, acting, directing, etc. And they would learn critical thinking skills through debates and dialectics. But hey, what do I know right? I'm just coming to conclusions through intensive research and analysis, evaluating the logical validity of arguments, analyzing evidence, and then utilizing higher-order thinking skills to come to a provisional conclusion that always remains subject to change upon further research and analysis, debate, and dialectics. Because I know that many of my research conclusions are either oversimplistic and in need of greater nuance or just outright bullshit. That's why I debate people more intelligent and well informed on specific topics than I am, in order to further develop my paradigms and discover erroneous paradigms in need of revision. Not like that's the proper way to approach knowledge in the information age or anything. It's not like you should reject ideologies in favor of lifelong research projects where you come to your own conclusions by studying opposing viewpoints and doing your best to synergize your knowledge into a well-balanced and logical viewpoint to the best of one's ability.
Hi, I have a question. I recently bought a new guitar but now that i am practicing i feel like the guitar is a little bit big because my arms are getting tired. Is this normal or should I change the guitar? I wanted a bigger one because of the sound. Love your video's
Smaller acoustic guitars are available, such as travel size guitars. Best thing is to try them out in Guitar shops - always try before you buy to avoid disappointment!-🎸
Yes I did try, but i did not like the sound of the guitars that were smaller. So do you suggest to change it for another smaller one? or maybe get used to it. Thanks for replying
Try many, see what you like. Keep playing your current one till you like one better! Guitars really do choose us sometimes, rather than us choosing them. Guitarists get it! Haha 🎸
Playing a little song, no matter how simple is so much more encouraging than just mindless chord changes. thank you !

I struggle to hit that A chord as I have big fingers. So I use 2 instead on it - 1 finger pressing down 2 strings-Kind of acceptable I suppose
Guess im somewhere between beginner and inter. This used to be such a challenge.

Can you plese do a lesson for I see gire by Ed Sheeran?
Would have liked it if you played it all the way through once just to pick up the groove.
Am I the only who's slightly distracted by how much he looks like Rory from Doctor Who?
It sounds better with power chords.. like the original...
Maybe there were two guitars one playing power chords and one playing open chords
