The Dutch translator made a statement that she got the manuscript with the names and translated what she was given. In other words Scobie is lying again. She's very upset. She was practically in tears. Her professional reputation has been slimed and she could lose work.
She shouldn't worry we know that Scabies is a lying little sewer rat. We all believe her.
Can't she sue Scobie? Can't the Dutch publishers produce the copy of the transcript that she translated? Show the original English version she got?
MM doesn't care who gets hurt. Very typical narcissist.
No one with half a brain thinks the translator got it wrong. A new low from a low class journalist and his cohorts using lies and slurring to gain attention and money. They must live very small and toxic lives.
I never believed she was to blame.
The way Harry and Meghan attacks William and Catherine is contemptible.

Scobie presumably provided the names in his transcript, but subsequently denied it. It’s all a scam to get cheap publicity for his book. Nobody wants to read the crap anyway.

The difference being it is not toward another race so much as people are put into hierarchies. India calls it a caste system. I think the term in England is “your betters”. While the concept is foreign in the U. S. The sentiment is not, thus racism.

Suing would give more oxygen to this absurd notion of racism expressed by the wonderment of what a child might look like.

I used to be a professional translator before I retired. I can confirm what those two ladies said. It is UNTHINKABLE that a translator would add anything to the copy he or she received.
I tend to agree with you,this isn’t a slip up. This was done deliberately but the question is by who? Scobie wouldn’t want a law suit against him and he’s said as much.

I'm also sure the Dutch publisher didn't insert those names. They had everything to lose, like their reputation, and nothing to gain. The Harkles &:Scabies had everything to gain from it . The publisher who gave the named transcript is responsible, not the Dutch publisher. IMO.

I don't understand many Deep South slangs or New York slangs. 🇺🇸 You translators have to know dialects and slang in 2 ( or more) different languages . It's quite impressive

Scobie is an admitted perjurer in the high court.in the UK. He signed an oath, in court, ayyesting to something he knew was not true. That markle has nothing to with "Funding Freedom." Book. Both she and Scabies had to apologize to the court when several emails showed up indicating that she had engineered most of the book.
If anyone believes Scobie they are as big a fool as he is.
There are multiple reports that Scobie was in CA for months and was seen regularly picking up packages from the desk of the hotel Harry stays at "to play video games". Someone pointed out that Scobie talks about editing and sending the manuscript, but not writing it. I watched Scobie panic when pushed for proof Piers and Camilla phone each other. He referenced an article that didn't say that. Then, Scobie made a weird accusation along the lines of Piers wanting to set the Sussexes on fire and burn them to death, which he's never written or said.
I have done translation work from Dutch into English. No translator ever inserts information into the translated work that isn't there in the original language in which the manuscript is written. I stand with the Dutch translators.
Spare a thought for the child known as Archie, whose skin colour was the topic of conversation for 4 years just so his parents could don their cloaks of victimhood! 🤢😡

and especially if Archie has no real signs of colour in his skin and looks caucasian.. he will grow up to wonder why his mother and father made such fuss about it … to a point of breaking bonds and family units
We all know how that conversation went, Meghan would have been the first one to bring up the skin colour and someone else flippantly said "how dark is he going to be?"; implying that they didn't think he was going to be that dark, and he isn't, and secondly reaffirming the fact that how dark he was didn't matter to them. But i can guarantee that Meghan was the one who brought it up in the first place, most likely trying to play the race card to gain an advantage in the discussion.

Online documents show that Omid Scobie had control of the "non-English" publication of the scabby book. He is 100% responsible as is his controller, Meghan Markle. 😏

Yes, and now he has given interviews stating (paraphrased): "Everyone on Fleet Street [i.e. all the U.K. journalists] have known for years that it was Charles and Kate." Pure libel, while also committing libel against the Dutch translators for supposedly inserting that information into his book. Meanwhile, the journalist J.J. Anisiobi stated this morning that a Palace source he respects was present for the supposedly "racist" question. It was brought up only ONCE, by a single individual, who was a more distant relative, NOT Charles, Catherine, or anyone from the inner family circle. He was interviewed about it on TalkTV this morning. It is posted on their UA-cam channel.
I believe the ‘inadvertent’ slip of names was calculated on Omid’s part. Omid admitted that he was prevented legally to name names in UK so he contrived to slip it into a version to some other country! 🇦🇺

They called the book “Endgame”…of course this wasn’t accidental! This was deliberate and malicious. With a title like that, there is no way this wasn’t intentional. Edit: I purposely used “they” because this wasn’t written by Scobie alone.

I have not and won't read the book, but if no-one gave the information to Omid Scabie, how would he know about it ? This is definitely the work of the duo.
Racism (against any individual or group) is serious and important. It is time to stop people from using it so casually for political or personal advantage or revenge.
That is why I think everyone who experienced racism at any point would be up and arms about this and be furious and Meghan and Scobie for these lies. They are setting back progress, and it's disgusting.

Oprah should have INSISTED they provide the details and if they didn’t, she should have called them out for weaponizing such a horrible issue that harms, and in fact kills people, since lodging an allegation of that gravity without any proof or even details is like accusing someone of murder. And saying you didn’t ever want the people name-like Meghan Markle is claiming- but yet bringing it up to smear an entire family with is beyond disgusting. People need to hold them to account-both the Sussexes, their tool Scobie, and any media organizations and personalities that work in furtherance of this smear campaign.

Just a slight but an important one…. Whilst Meghan Markle raised this topic to infer that members of the Royal Family were Racist she wasn’t present when the alleged comments were made. Her information came via Prince Harry and it was before his marriage or any pregnancy. So it’s merely hearsay from a person who has had concerning issues about drug use at times imo.

I think Migraine and her pet are deliberately trying to imply problematic discussions using carefully crafted phrases. A discussion "concerning skin tone" conjures dissimilar implications to "concerns about skin tone." Nasty little hairsplitting grifters.

At the end of the Colbert interview (you can find it on UA-cam) that Harry had for his book, he himself said that at the beginning of their relationship he wondered how their kids would look like. He did not think his ginger genes stood a chance against hers. I do not think he was thinking of her fathers side who had gingers. I can very well see Harry making some mention of it while she was pregnant and she got mad. The only thing I wonder is: at the end of the conversation did she know it was Harry, did he lie and said it was someone else or did he refuse to say?🤔
Harry said it happened before they were married, and Meghan said it was when she was pregnant. Either she’s lying to make it seem it was about Archie specifically, or she told Harry she was pregnant before they were married (to get a ring on her finger?). Either option is scummy on Meghan’s part.
Harry denied it was racist but just a conversation that he thought was funny! I don't know where I saw or read this. It's quite normal to discuss colour of dual heritage babies.

i have discused possible height, build, eyes, hair and even skin colour with every pregnancy, myself or friends have had. its always wait and see, but the possibilities of having a 6'2" daughter with green eyes curly dark hair, and olive skin, i was close with my first i was a foot too tall and her hair is wavy. most recently a mixed race couple we sugested latte, mum is really white doesent tan, dad is verry dark, baby is more americano and baby couldent be more loved by any of us

If there even was one. What proof is there?
I am a white male and I was married to a Filipina. Prior to childbirth BOTH families - in my country and family and in the Philippines and her family - were guessing about the skin colour of our kids. That was not racist or even bad intentions, it was just genuine interest and curiosity. In fact my kids turned out to be more like my wife. I didn't care and our families didn't care. Those kids were family and they were loved by every member of both families. The colour of their skin was never any topic in their life - not while they were children and not in their adult life. We were living in my country and 2 of my 3 kids still do. 1 kid moved to the US with her US husband and son.
I observed some skin colour related problems in my country, but I was tuned in to such incidents - as it was my task to protect my family. It were minor incidents which did not affect us. You just don't care or deal with stupid!
Thus I am certain that for any mixed race couple the families will ask such questions prior to childbirth. It is just curiosity. It is much simpler than even that: EVERY couple and their families will ask "which features will the kid inherit: her's or his'?" Their is NEVER malicious intent involved - not for family members.
And everybody who is malicious would have revealed that even before the marriage happened - and they would have been no family anymore after that.

Totally agree, as a mother of 3 mixed race boys, we all discussed how our babies would look. I am happy to report my first son is dark like his father, my 2 is white like me and my 3 is a mixture of both. How lucky am I. All are loved by both families
I have interracial kids and both have suffered racial abuse. My eldest gets daily racially abused at secondary school, it something taught to kids. If the so called king and future queen are acting this way then it is racist. They specifically asked how would it look if Archie skin was to dark, how would that appear to the public. They wanted Harry to divorce Meghan as there was an interracial kid having direct line to the throne. Asking about a kids skin colour is racist, full stop. No one in my white family brought it up, none of my friends or colleagues. No one on my wife’s side of the family brought it up and she from the far east. Why should it matter what colour the kids skin colour is. This is why the UK is racists. But uk people are thick to understand. But is something to do Jonny Foreigner then the Brits real colours come out.

BTW I'm not UK nor US. I'm a citizen of a country that was famous for being racist in the last century. My parents were born in 1930 and they never expressed any racist ideas towards my children.
As I stated before every family is asking questions about whose features they will inherit more. They simply want to know. Even with same race couples. Just like this: "Will the hairs be blond, red, brown or black?"
If anyone is going to act, it will be William, and it will be devastating.

Probably so. After all he has form for litigation over those topless photos of his wife a decade ago. He won that and his wife as one of the directly defamed parties and he as suffering collateral reputational damage would almost certainly win this as well.

My understanding, from comments made by people involved in publishing, is that Scobie's worldwide contract gave him and his agent the role of negotiating all the contracts with the non-English language publishers and sending them an original draft for translation. From this several questions arise. 1. How did an original draft quoting names get sent out if, as Scobie claims, he never produced one with the names in? (Clearly someone is lying here). 2. Was Scobie complicit with his agent in sending out the 'incorrect' version?. 3. Whose idea was it that this might be a good strategy to begin with? (Can't see it happening by accident)

A small distinction, but an important one.
The cable actress is cunning but she is nowhere near as clever as she thinks she is. As frustrating as it has been, the RF played the long game and it has been quite effective even if we wish that KC would move more decisively against his treasonous son. The biggest flaw of the cable actress is how she can't keep her mouth shut.
Does make you wonder though, as her efforts to get their attention escalate, what on earth will she do next? Much as I dislike Harry, I do wonder if he is safe with that woman, mentally if not physically.
She can't keep her mouth shut because she lives in a world of delusion- she always thinks things will turn out well for her, even when it fails to do so over and over again. Delusional thinking is common among people wit Cluster B personality disorders (which she may or may not have).

I personally felt at the time of the Oprah interview that Meghan’s comments in relation to her child not getting a title or security based on the colour of skin of her unborn child was deliberately misleading to an egregious extent.
In actual fact she put the late Queen and her seriously ill husband in the frame.
As Queen Elizabeth was still alive and the reigning monarch it would have been she who would have been technically responsible for withholding ( as Meghan implied) a title from the Sussexes child, so Harry and Meghan were maligning The Queen.
The withdrawal of the late Queen and Prince Phillips name from the ring didn’t occur for at least 12 hours and it was only put out by a media commentator on an American breakfast TV show, not by Prince Harry and Meghan themselves who were the 2 people who should have taken his grandparents names out of the affray ( given the seriousness of the allegation )
In my personal opinion the fact that 2 people’s names have found their way into a book publication means that someone in the know inserted those names at some point with the intention of outing them and it is my belief that it was done to cause damage to the people named.
I cannot think that King Charles wanted to cause damage to himself and Catherine, so the leak will have come from either Meghan Markle or Prince Harry.
It is an incredibly serious allegation to accuse a person of making racist comments ( I think that in some circumstances it may actually be a criminal offence and carry a custodial sentence) and it should not be done lightly or frivolously to exact revenge for a different issue…..which is what I personally suspect was done here, given Markle’s loose relationship with truth.
Actually there was a law made I think in the 1700 or 1800's that the Queen could only give titles to the her children and grandchildren not great grandchildren only Charles when he became King could grant titles to his grandchildren so the Queen had not authority to give Harry's children a title. Charles when he became King did give them titles. So people need to get the truth.
@@nfraser7711Yes, you’re right. I think that most people think that anyone born in direct line to the monarch automatically gets a title; this is not the case. As you said it’s the children and grandchildren who can be entitled, not the great grandchildren. In fact, Anne, Princess Royal, declined royal titles for her children, Peter and Zara, as she thought titles would be more problematic for them than not having them. I think that people’s ignorance of the way titles are bestowed was taken advantage of…majorly.

I was thoroughly neutral of Harry and Megan up until they I heard about the Oprah Winfrey interview. I had a very dim view of that and even more so of this.
They just don't seem to appreciate that most people have seen through there accusations and are disgusted by the continued attacks on the royal family.
Really, these two need to go and whine somewhere else as the general public of the UK, US, and Canada no longer have time for them.

It’s just been reported on Talk TV this evening that a member of staff at the palace has said that it was neither the King nor the Princess of Wales but somebody else.
Yes. Naming the King and the Princess of Wales, who were not at all involved, is just a disgusting smear campaign.

Nothing was said that was problematic or racist, but simply a comment in the form of a question that millions of families have had about an expected child during the pregnancy.... Wonder what he or she will look like, will he have his father's hair color, will she have her mother's freckles or fair skin or dark skin...will the baby have the great uncle's nose, or Cousin Charlie's bow legs. Meghan made it into an issue about race because she assumed an abnormal attitude to an altogether normal question. Harry had to follow her lead because she had already announced to Oprah on national television what had purportedly been said to Harry. Even so, when he entered the scene with Oprah he described the situation somewhat differently than Meghan had, and later. tried to deny they had said anything at all, but it "was the press's fault." Both Meghan and Harry have obvious mental health issues and personality disorders. And yes, I am qualified to say that. @@Jooniebug

The journalist J.J. Anisiobi said on TalkTV this morning that there was only ONE conversation, and neither King Charles nor Catherine, Princess of Wales were in any way involved. It was a more distant family member. His source was a Palace official who was present during the conversation in question. Yet Scobie states in an interview that the King and Princess of Wales are known to be the perpetrators by everyone on Fleet Street, while also stating that Dutch translators have somehow inserted those names in the book. That is slander: of the King, the Princess of Wales, and the Dutch translators.

There is a lot of focus on who said something. But to my mind, it is at least as important to know exactly what was said, in what context and in what tone.
It wasn't Megan who had the reported conversation with a royal but Harry.

I remember whilst watching the Amber Heard and Jonny Depp trial on the TV, I was always curious about defamation it’s an interesting topic and an important one to educate people. In this modern society, defamation is something a person could quite easily get themselves entangled in. Love your videos ❤

The author was very devious when he wrote the Princess of Wales because he knew that everyone would automatically think of Catherine much to the delight of the Sussex's but that title belonged to Camila at the time of the allegation, everyone knows that it was Charles and Camila who was chatting about who the baby would look like, nothing racist just curious, as would anyone, MM made it racist to suit her own narrative

The conversation was one that Harry was privy too, before his marriage to Madame Markle, there was no “Archie” at the time. Meghan received this information from Harry. She sitting alone without Harry, changed the facts somewhat which help solidify what most listeners concluded that she was implying racism in the royal family. What is not mentioned very often in the last days, is that Harry, when he appeared after the disclosure in the Oprah interview, did clarify that detail (conversation before their mariage) and that he would never disclose the name of the person.
They issued a statement the next day to save the Queen and Prince Philip from disgrace. That was it until Harry’s interview refuting racism allegations.
So if Harry did not disclose the name to a third party other than Meghan …..then who did?
In one of his many interviews, Mr. Scobie mentioned that he did not disclose the names in the UK version due to UK laws. What happened in other countries is unknown save the Dutch version.
No translator who wishes to keep his job would add such information. It is not done or as you said….would have needed to be done for nefarious purposes which I doubt.
If authors dont assure themselves of keeping good records of the versions circulating post editing and if necessary post legal review and identified as final version for print…then this type of scenario can occur.
I don’t even believe any conversation took place without a recording. There is no reason to believe anything a known liar says unless you witnessed it. Or there’s a tape, and I’d have the tape anylized for edits if there was one. If someone had a carefully planned takedown that they expected to make millions of dollars from why would anyone believe any of it without proof.

She mentions someone on Tumblr who's published several books internationally, who explains that in the process of translation, the English publisher wouldn't have sent a copy to the foreign publishers. It would have been the author's AGENT who sent the final copy to be translated. So Scobie's agent would potentially be on the hook for this ... Scobie also claimed he never mentioned racism in his book - however, Stef shows the actual text of his book where he says, "unconscious racial bias". The lies are piling up.

I don't see the issue with Piers announcing the names. Anyone with access to the internet could quite easily find out anyway. I think the more troubling issue is how the names were published in any version of the book and where those names came from. I would like someone to take the publisher to court. Then we will find out just where the "paper" trail leads. Many of us already have our own suspicions given that the name/names could have only come from one source.

As a mixed race couple our families had so much joy and curiosity in anticipating what our baby would look like and to make that exciting and jouful time fraught is really criminal. Surely if the allegations were true they would not be afraid of any repercussions, therefore there would be no reason to leave the names out because they have the receipts to back this up as the actual truth. Or this is all done with malice covered up with smoke and mirrors.
I think the author wanted to sell his book as a form of 'kiss and tell'. When he says "It was a publishing error" what he really means is he put the names in the book, but was told he shouldn't. By that time, they'd printed a few hundred Dutch editions. So now he's back-peddling furiously, knowing he may've gone too far in his attempt to sell his books.

Nothing was said that was problematic or racist, but simply a comment in the form of a question that millions of families have had about an expected child during the pregnancy.... There were groups of sentences added, likely to the English edition that was handed to the Dutch publisher. (And possibly to Spanish and Italian publishers). At any rate, before translation.
The translation would have been done with the original manuscript, not the english version of the book, which would have been edited prior to publication.
The allegations were being repeated on social media and they were already being named so Piers Morgan was in the right. He used his platform to debunk the allegations.

Harry and Meghan were very popular when they first arrived in southern CA. They had multi-million dollars contracts by Netflix and Spotify, and everyone wanted to interview them, including Oprah. So, it would have looked mean-spirited if the RF tried to 'nip it in the bud' and it is better to play the long game.
The dutch version had one or more paragraphs that were missing from the British and American versions. Obviously at some point there was draft of the book that had this information in it, and perhaps Scobie was told that this information might not pass British libel laws or something similar. Whoever sent this draft to the Dutch translators will be on the hook...either Scobie, his agent, or UK publisher.....
Wanting to know the color of a baby of a mix couple it is not concerning, it is curiosity. I have brown skin and my husband is Scandinavian, so we discussed the color of our baby.

My Dad was multi lingual and he used to get books about World War 2. He lived through it and was a displaced person from Eastern Europe so he had a keen interest in reading about it. Apart from the fact there was propaganda and mistruths in all these books, he told me that if the book was from Britain there were a lot of pages changed. He got a book in Australia when we lived there and got the same book to reread here in England. He was surprised to see parts missing. This just proves it to me though I took what my Dad said as fact. It seems that in Britain we have censorship. So much for our freedom and rights. I’m a veteran at the translation industry on the technical side of things. This could be an issue of version control. It could be that an older version prior to the final edit did contain the names, and those were inherited forward into the final version by an error that did not catch the update that removed the names.
Translators frequently use a piece of software called a translation memory system. It’s a fancy Word processor and builds up of database of your translations as you translate. Every sentence goes into the database and an AI is used so that if the same sentence appears later on, it is offered to you so you don’t have to translate it twice. Also this is useful between versions of the same type of document so if 65% of the document is the same as the previous version, the software will offer you that 65%, even partial sentences, it uses fuzzy logic AI for a percentage similarity to the original text. If the sentence is 100% the same the translation can just be added to the new version. If it is a partial match, then manual review and retranslation is required.
It may be that the previous version contain the names and was leveraged into the final version, but not noticed. Seems unlikely considering the gravity of the issue though!

I totally agree about the "concern" expressed IF it happened. Because concern FOR is very different than concern ABOUT. The first is protective, the second could be anything from a mild discomfort to full blown distaste. I think IF there was any concern it was the former, concern FOR any future children, and the problems that they might face from bigots being such public figures.

Sending a manuscript to The Netherlands with the "names" and blaming the translator and the Dutch publisher was ALWAYS going to result in the easily foreseeable situation we have here. So why does it seem as if Scobie and the Harkles are scrambling to come up with a response to disclaim responsibility?
Is it possible manuscript manuscript version 3.0 contained the "names," version 4.0 did not, and the primary/English language publisher approved, printed and released the "nameless" version 4.0.
However, it's my understanding Scobie retained publishing rights to the non-English language versions which he then sold separately. Perhaps (he or his representative) accidentally/incompetently provided version 3.0 to those customers. This is the only explanation that makes sense to me. Defaming the translator or the Dutch publisher was NEVER going to work - the accusation can be so EASILY disproved by producing the source manuscript.
Even if Piers Morgan did not reveal the names, people in the UK and other countries can always get them from relatives and friends in the Netherlands. We are not living in the middle ages! Just bring out your mobile phone and there you have the news.
Could the translate sue, OS is on record as saying it’s a translation issue. The publishers have updated to say this is an error. Going back to OS, he said that there were no names in any copy of the book he wrote.
So, going forward do you think there is a legal case against the translated, the editor or against OS as he has stated he has never named names, ever.
If the translator and publisher suffer economically and emotionally from his lies, then yes. Scobie's statements in interviews that he did not send the publisher the names and that the translators made mistakes are definitely libelous.
Hi Dan. I watched a video where they we’re going through the book and they showed the acknowledgments at the back of the book.
One he singled out was the guy who translated the book from English into Dutch. I don’t know if it was my imagination but he made a point of saying how hard it must have been. I took it to be some kind of in-house joke. Not sure.
Some people need to look up the definition of racist. Wondering what colour a baby’s skin would be is no more than normal curiosity. Human beings are full of it .

You cannot simply insert your own material when translating. Besides, names don’t need translation, they are what they are.

The book would have gone to a translator(s), then back to an editor for possible revisions, then to a copy editor, and if the publishing house is small, the publisher may have signed off on the final copy and therefore have read it. And it may even have been read by board members or others prior to going to a printer, simply as a precaution for possible errors. Publishing books is very expensive and time-consuming and labour-intensive. No way this was not planned.
I think someone took some cash and slipped it in at the printing press. Truly I do . M is behind it.
