Was visiting my daughter on Jersey on Monday. Such a joy to see the excitement on the island for the royal visit. Despite the torrential downpours it was such a lovely day.
Catherine's standing ovation brought a tear to my eye - it was just such a spontaneous, and authentic expression of happiness for seeing her out and about at one of her favourite events. Harry can't be so thick to not realize this is a completely phoney awards scenario - and a member of the royal family should be giving them out, not accepting them. The veterans with him on stage looked extremely uncomfortable when he barked at them to stay with him. Just pathetic. I can't see much of an upside to a paperback edition of Spare - the hardcover ended up being dumped all over the place, and merely had novelty value. The ship has sailed, and I can't see a paperback selling very well. Unfortunately - Harry's side of the story was a load of entitled nonsense, petty attacks and outright bs - so its no surprise he got the reaction he did.

@unawatson1703 Yes I know people die from cancer, I have had relatives who have, but my point was she is fairly young and she was seen immediately, in Britain those on the public health care services can wait years to even be seen by a cancer specialist, so she is very privileged and most Americans can't afford to be out of work for 6 months, again privileged life.if she had said what type of cancer she was being treated for alot of people would look into being tested and caught earlier. The king announced his cancer diagnosis and the type and the number of men being tested went up significantly. She could have been that for women. But she didn't do anything significant when she was healthy, last year 175 appearances in total for both her and William, Anne made 400 appearances and is almost twice their age and now she is not able to do that many appearances because of her head injury. So much for the smaller number of working royals,,it still costs the British taxpayers 35O MILLION pounds for 22 castles for William alone and 60 household employees.

Was visiting my daughter on Jersey on Monday. Such a joy to see the excitement on the island for the royal visit. Despite the torrential downpours it was such a lovely day.
Catherine's standing ovation brought a tear to my eye - it was just such a spontaneous, and authentic expression of happiness for seeing her out and about at one of her favourite events. Harry can't be so thick to not realize this is a completely phoney awards scenario - and a member of the royal family should be giving them out, not accepting them. The veterans with him on stage looked extremely uncomfortable when he barked at them to stay with him. Just pathetic. I can't see much of an upside to a paperback edition of Spare - the hardcover ended up being dumped all over the place, and merely had novelty value. The ship has sailed, and I can't see a paperback selling very well. Unfortunately - Harry's side of the story was a load of entitled nonsense, petty attacks and outright bs - so its no surprise he got the reaction he did.

The king announced his cancer diagnosis and the type and the number of men being tested went up significantly. She could have been that for women. But she didn't do anything significant when she was healthy, last year 175 appearances in total for both her and William, Anne made 400 appearances and is almost twice their age and now she is not able to do that many appearances because of her head injury. So much for the smaller number of working royals,,it still costs the British taxpayers 35O MILLION pounds for 22 castles for William alone and 60 household employees.

It is a rare person who believes anything Harry does now is for altruistic purposes. Harry has allowed his team to misrepresent facts to make him look good and his father look bad. (remember them saying the King didn't have time for Harry which turned out to actually be Harry refusing to stay in the offered accommodations). Harry's efforts to reconcile have, in my opinion, been rather disingenuous.
Why do the Harkles not get it, people don't like them. Because of their behaviour and lies in the last four years. We 'see' them, how horrible they are.

How was he rude, they are Veterans and that is who he accepted the award for and the women in the white dress gave a wonderful speech about Invictus and Harry’s involvement with it. Those Veterans deserve the award including Harry for continuing to support them. That’s like saying Catherine doesn’t deserve a standing ovation for showing up at a game. But I think people were applauding because she is feeling better and getting out again. Hatefulness serves no purpose.

I understood that someone in his agency wrote the speech - which possibly explains the passive aggressive tone referring to Mrs Tillman, and yet again referencing the woman who died 25 yrs ago. Presumably a junior in the office. Pity that harry who doesn't seem to have a job, could not write his own speech - he could have written from the heart and made a bad situation considerably better. Obviously could not be bothered. He looked anxious because he was terrified he would be booed which would have devastated him. His grin when walking off the stage with the award, disappeared to glum as soon as he spotted the camera catching his joy. One wonders how false all this' miserable facade' is ?
Harry's memoir not being released in paperback tells me the publisher has absolutely no confidence it will sell.

Loved seeing Lleyton Hewitt blush the way he did when Catherine turned to speak to him. And the genuine delight of Julia Roberts when she realized Catherine was walking by her. Happy Happy Happy Day.
