Classical guitar legend, maestro Pepe Romero, Spain, answers the questions during the public briefing as the part of the educational program of the Moscow International 'Guitar Virtuosi' festival, 2019.
The event runs in English with continuous translation into Russian.

Love the Romero's work ethic, though for that charming young girl I would recommend that if she loves guitar, it is wise and fundamental to learn piano. If I could replay my youth, I would pursue both instruments. Why? Because the most fundamental ability to hone is to pre-hear musical phrases in your inner "mind's ear" along with the technique to play with intention. This skill is a key to developing musicianship which is like an iceberg - most of it is unseen as the subconscious mind. One develops a kind of dissociative mindset and anticipatory listening in the flow.

For me , I spent so much time listening to Joe Hisaishi and then Yiruma,
Hence, when "listening" to the music as it comes out of my guitar as a reflection of life around me,, in moments of "virtuosity" , as he describes the word, that I am a guest in,,
Peices and movements sometimes engulf, that are new, but when I can keep them so to play again, and musing upon them, I can hear the movement influence of these two as probably my main two listening sources,
However, sometimes Bach, or various others I will notice appear in compositions
Romero talked and shared about his experiences as player and teacher. his pot belly getting bigger because he ate too much unhealthy American food and guitarists tend to lack of doing exercises.
