Total agree that this is a craftmans channel, but I think you are missing the bigger picture here. Materials cost money, time effort, etc.

Gotta tell you Stu always fun to watch your work. Ive been in the trades for about 42 years and still going strong, because I enjoy what I do. Labourer, Brickie, Carpenter, Builder and now back on the tools.....my last client will be me and after watching you its going to be a masonry house.

Great work , and love the last two videos. When it comes to stone work a cut edge shouldn't really be exposed , it should be faced. It gives its natural beauty when faced. Great work all the same.
There are no rules in art bud, I’ve seen plenty smooth face stone, these were just tiny bits left over so I know it’s not the best looking but was still good to build. 👍

Been watching your videos since back when you did them in your back garden and that is hands down one, if not the best builds you've ever done. Breath taking skill. Build this stu:
Built it years ago in a competition:
1) big steel plate as base, with a 3 " pole welded to the centre of the plate,
2)build a pyramid shape on top of the steel plate,
3) now for the tricky bit, you will need some timer formwork as you are building the next bit,
3) build brickwork on the top of the bottom pyramid shape, to create a diamond shape above
4) basically it looks like magic that a huge bit of brickwork is balancing ontop of the point of the brickwork of the pyramid,
4) important put in steel plates to diamond shape brickwork above to give extra support
Good luck , use a very strong steel pole otherwise it will bend and topple over at the point, hope this makes sense 👍
