Stu, I have just begun masonry school and I find myself coming back to your videos time and again to learn. Thank you for taking the time and putting in the effort with these videos. You are an excellent teacher.
I’ve always been astounded at bricklayers ability to repeat each brick with such precision, it doesn’t look hard but doing it neatly is. There are exceptions, the builders who built the extension at my factory made what looks like a climbing wall
Hello Stuart You are a true professional bricklayer your builds are truly 1st class I would definitely choose you and your dad to build my house any day Because I know that I'm getting a 1st class job thanks Stuart Keep going pal
We mustn’t forget that the mix is so important too! Good luck with your backs also! Getting out of the ground and up to a decent working height is a blessed relief as you get older! Cheers
Just want to say a massive thanks, love your vids, you clearly take a pride in what you do. I'm just finishing the gable on my house ( hip to gable loft conversion) and I just wouldn't have done it with out these videos. Stu, K.C many thanks keep up the good work Chang
So I've been thinking lately that I need a storm bungalow too so I watched only to realize that I can't read......:-) Keep after it friend, the best channels are the best channels because they are nice guys to start with.
lovely job Stu, nice finish. ive seen some shocking finishes with morter all over face of the brick. Sure some people point up with a catapult!. I'd love a career change and be a bricky.
Loved to see you letting thr lad get some practice in Stu! So many sites ive been on and no one wants to share their knowledge with young kids these days. Plus mate we got soaked in thr rain yesterday on a job in Oxford
Really enjoying this series Stu. Pity about the rain but it’s par for the course in your trade . I have done plenty of labouring for a builder I know in the past and have also laboured for builders on my own extensions and it’s hard graft for sure!!! 👍👍👍
I remember the English summers. Started on a Monday and were all over by a Thursday. Good job guy's. I'm not a Brickie but I find it fascinating to watch tradesmen at work. As a cap collector of brand name and company caps how could I get one of yours.? I'm all the way down here in New Zealand. I'd be interested to find out if it was at all possible. Am subbed on to your channel so I don't miss any of your posts. Keep up the good work guy's. 👍👍👍👍
I tried extending the height of my own wall that separates my garden from the alley behind the house, I also tried skimming the wall. What a fuckin mess I made, I got nothing but respect for brickies of this quality because its harder than it looks lol.
What is that material ( foam like thing) in between bricks and concrete blocks ? What does it do ? Is it for sound proofing or heat proofing ? How does that concept work ?
Admittedly I know little about masonry so pardon my questions. Is the gap between the block and the brick just a thermal barrier? Why aren’t you tying the two together (would it be stronger that way)?
Классные, очень интересные видео. Красивая и качественная работа. Очень хочется узнать как сделать такой пластичный раствор. Сними ролик пожалуйста. Или уже есть и мной пропущено?
HEY FRIEND STU, IF I COULD AFFORD IT, I WOULD HIRE YOU AND "BOSS" KC TO RENOVATE MY HOUSE HERE IN BRAZIL. A BIG HUG!!! I'M SORRY FOR ANY MISTAKE IN WRITING.👍
Big lump that Stu for an extension . Nice face brick , joints up well . Young Jang coming along well and seems to be enjoying it . Makes all the difference to a youngster or anyone for that matter , to be lucky enough to be working with a decent crew . Good on ya guys
7:52 I was asked to go and get a long weight. He didn't have any long weights. He did have two short weights though. I took the two short waits without even realising it.

As músicas que vc usa nos vídeos são show parabéns.
I’d be in the van
When IT rains put your first plank against wall straight up then your wall is save of mud splashing against IT ( plank is shelf?)
they completely forgot that trick on a development next door to me, you can still see where the scaff boards were, two years later...
Not being a bricky myself, I just realised the string line performs two functions, level and plumb!
Que buen trabajo en equipo
Cheers Stu .
Excellent job Stu and crew, those facing bricks are nice what are they called?
Good job 👍
*maple multi*
@@Stucrompton1 nice choice, thanks 👍
Perfect video for insomnia.
What is that material ( foam like thing) in between bricks and concrete blocks ? What does it do ? Is it for sound proofing or heat proofing ? How does that concept work ?
Hello Stu how comes you were watering the bricks with the garden hose before laying them down??

Spot on mate!
Admittedly I know little about masonry so pardon my questions. Is the gap between the block and the brick just a thermal barrier? Why aren’t you tying the two together (would it be stronger that way)?
as someone who knows nothing about brick laying is there a reason you dont level each brick side to side? Top Job btw!
