    Grandma's 3 Day Brisket Recipe
    1st Day
Foil to wrap the meat and line a baking dish
Brush with liquid smoke, season with accent (we used beef rub), salt and pepper - cover with foil and refrigerate.
    2nd Day
Place in cold oven - heat to 275 degrees - bake 2 1/2 to 3 hours - cool and refrigerate
    3rd Day
Slice thin - cover each slice with barbecue sauce and bake 2-3 hours at 300 degrees uncovered about half the time so sauce will thicken.
    Sauce
    1/2 Cup Barbecue sauce
    14 Oz catsup
    1 tsp liquid smoke
    1-2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
sprinkle with accent, salt and pepper (we used beef rub)
    1/4 c brown sugar
Bring to a boil then dip the meat in the sauce - after it has cooked half the time uncovered, cover with foil and finish cooking the other half of the time.
It will be tender and very delicious with the famous mashed potatoes

Sorry for your loss, Susie and Todd. I've held on to my grandmother's banana bread recipe for years, there's something special about recreating those recipes.

Sorry for your loss Todd. Prayers for her and your family. I bet she was a great cook. Most grandma's were.

So sorry for your loss. I had found this recipe years ago and I truly loved that oven brisket. Didn't write it down or save the link. Got a Traeger during the pandemic and I've smoked several briskets and all sorts of other yummy recipes. But that oven recipe has always been in the back of my mind! Thank you!

I love trying recipes from the past. We have a Peanut Brittle recipe that we still make that is well over 100 years old. The original recipe says how high to put the kettle over the fire!! It is phenomenal. Sometimes the originals just knew how to do things we don’t.

Grandma not around, wife present, a smart man would pick the wife’s brisket. It’s nice to see intelligence at work. No loss of a corner of a man card in this video! Love these videos!

This is great. Condolences to you on the passing of Todd’s grandmother. Fun video, and I’m impressed that you keep the neon gear so clean while making barbecue 😂

"Liquid Smoke" was created in the late 1800's. I'll bet if the brisket was cooked in a wood cooking stove there would be competition. Great Tribute to Grandma Bulloch!

My condolences. I would like to try her recipe. I live in MN and about 5 months of the year, it's just not fun grill/smoke outdoors.

I would suggest using Allegro hickory smoke marinade.

Liquid smoke is available in all natural versions and is easy to make if you want to control the wood it is made from

Interesting approach. I'll stick with the true smoked, but nice option.

Allegro Hickory Smoke Marinade works much better for smoked meat flavor without grilling.

Make it grandma style, but in the smoker during the second cook.

I just got back from our Minor League Baseball Teams Season Ticket Holders Christmas Party and they had oven cooked Brisket. I would bet that Grandma's oven Brisket was much better.. Sad thing is, they have a Recteq and didn't even use it. Recteq's head quarters is right down the street... lazy cooks.. 🤣😂

Just a suggestion, you may have been doing this intentionally for the sake of a camera angle, or maybe because you're left handed? I don't know, but if not I just want to let you know you were using the meat slicer backwards. It is MUCH less difficult or awkward to use if you turn it 180° and operate it with your right hand, pushing as you slice. You would then hold your left hand below to catch the slices as they come out. (I'm a former deli worker)

It was for the camera angle and it was the worst to try and run my slicer backwards. 😅
