The Libertarian Party's ballot access effort over half a century is a huge long-term investment.

If a new political party came around and wanted to get ballot access in all 50 states, plus DC, right now, like the Libertarian Party has for this election, that party would have to spend millions and millions of dollars. It could easily end up costing $20 million or more. That new party would have to spend millions more dollars to get the name recognition that the Libertarian Party has, except maybe if the have a well known celebrity candidate for President, but even with a well known celebrity candidate, they'd still have to spend millions of dollars, probably $20 million plus, in order to obtain ballot access in all 50 states, plus DC.

You are correct, and I have actually already thought of this, but I have yet to implement this. Every petition circulator in the country really ought to wear a body camera.
