Hey @ryanking1595 Our Bearing Delay Upper is designed to work with a standard carbine buffer and spring. For standard 9mm blowbacks we would recommend a standard spring with a heavier longer buffer. Using a carbine buffer with a shorter standard 9mm blowback can cause damage to the LRBHO as well as the potential for bolt bounce. You also should try to avoid a solid buffer. You want the buffer to have movable weights to have a dead blow effect to avoid bolt bounce.
9 mm endomag... I can confirm that it works with Smith & Wesson M&P lower and a foxtrot Mike 9 m m upper... Still getting it broken in... Had a couple of feed issues... But probably about 95% reliable... Sometimes it will not feed the last round... I had a couple of rounds that it shoved into the end of the magazine instead... and one bent casing... That was out of about 150 rounds... Overall it's pretty damn good
For some reason my last round hold open isn’t always reliable on my PSA upper and bolt carrier. The bold release seems a bit sluggish because it rubs on the soft plastic end of the endo mag.
You must change to a heavier buffer tube spring. It will solve all the problems if the standard mil spec lower isn't working properly. Trust me it will work!
Bolt and buffer should weigh between 22.00 and 24.50 oz. I have PSA 4” and 8” Gen 4 uppers. All 3 weigh between 14.00 and 14.5 oz. So you should use a 9MM buffer (they are different than a 5.56 buffer) that makes the combined weight between 22.00 and 24.50 oz. With the EndoMags this is an awesome platform.

Look around. I found a guy on the net who wrote a blog on AR9s, who claims you need a total buffer and bcg weight of 24 oz., with a weighted buffer and a carbine spring. Most buffers heavy enough are long enough that a spacer isn't needed. I'm using an Armaspec 9mm SCS system on an FM upper and it works fine.
Thank you for your inquiry and your interest in MEAN Arms products. Our EndoMags are designed to work with Milspec uppers. I read/watched somewhere that for AR 9's the BCG and buffer should weigh around 24 ounces, total, and use a carbine spring. The added weight in some 9mm bcgs is there to help achieve this. Ideally the buffer should also be weighted, rather than solid, to help prevent bolt bounce (dna to CMMG delayed radial blowback system). Some systems suggest using a longer buffer or a spacer on the spring at the end of the tube to make sure the bcg does not travel too far into the tube and too far past the bolt catch so the bcg does not have a "running start" on it's return cycle to blow out your bolt catch when activated. The space/longer buffer stops rearward travel just past the catch. I use a 9mm Armaspec silent capture system and it seems to work pretty well (you can find them on sale for about $55 if you look which gets close to the price of a good 8 to 10 oz buffer). If you really want to use one AR lower for a 9mm and some other caliber upper, get two of these (one 9 and one H, H2, etc), remove your buffer detent, and swapping becomes really easy as the spring and buffer are a contained unit and just rest in the tube. Did you inadvertently make an SBR with the PSA upper? If you're a firearms mfg, is that ok for testing/R&D purposes without needing a tax stamp (or maybe that lower is an SBR lower)? You might want to explain to the....less thoughtful...folks out here in internet land why that was ok so they don't copy you and wind up in a world of crap.
Whatever color follower you use, you should just avoid the color of any major aftermarket anti-tilt follower in the market and the five most popular AR manufacturers color-schemes.
I'm running a conversion block bc I've got tons of cheap Glock mags already, but it's a little hinkey so I'm going to grab a dedicated lower. If mag compatability was a non-issue I'd definitely use your product to maintain lower compatability/flexibility.
Anyone have any issues with any specific brand of upper? Don't want to buy something that won't work well with this
Or can anyone say what uppers WORK with this?
the endomag i bought was junk a waste of money
Hi Calvin, Sorry you are not satisfied with your EndoMag. I hope you will consider contacting our support to see if we can assist you in resolving the issues you may be having. I checked our support system and I don't see where you have contacted us. We stand behind our products and if we can't resolve your issue (via our lifetime warranty and support) we will refund your purchase. We would have reached out to you but I can't find a record of a direct order with us as I am guessing you purchased from a dealer. I think you will find we have a pretty good reputation for great customer support.
Preach, mine are a 100% failure
I've sent emails with no reply, Karri's Guns just said watch the vid. 3 hrs of breaking them in with failures.
I don’t own any pmag and I’m in California 😭
They sell 10rnd pmags and this comes in 10rnd conversions for them, so you're all good
I know it’s hard to move but freedom is costly but always ends in happiness and peace.
Don't let anyone tell you to move. Perfect weather 90% of the time will contribute to a better life more than the right to have 30 round mags. That background check for ammo though sounds like a supreme hassle. If I still live in CA I probably wouldn't even own guns, because all my $ and time would be spent on surfboards and bikes.
So they chose black....😂
that plastic ejector sucks needs to be aluminum
They don't work, they don't work, theydont work, they don't work,
What buffer size/weight did you use with the Guard upper?
CMMG says they use a standard carbine buffer and .308 spring in the Guard so that is probably what he used.
Thanks!
