Thanks for watching everyone!
I'm thinking about doing a Q&A video. Comment here whatever questions you guys might have about me, my Ender 3, this printer, or my love life? My astrology sign? Anything... I'm very bored. Thanks!
As promised here are some FAQs and updates:
- Last updated 11/29/2020
Q: Why put the prints in water for curing?
A: Oxygen actually slows down resin curing under UV light so since water has less oxygen in it, prints can cure a lot faster. Water also refracts the UV light coming in giving you more consistent curing all-around your prints. The only downside is that water does absorb some UV light but apparently, the wavelength needed for curing isn't absorbed. I recommend watching this video that covers water curing more in-depth: ua-cam.com/video/GN_Y2qx3ksg/v-deo.html if you want to learn more.
In the future could you post a tutorial on how to make a creality ender 3 pro enclosure?

How did you print the oxo strainer without supports? all my surfaces under supports looks like trash :(
Been looking into getting that OXO Container, but I noticed on your strainer's Thingiverse page that IPA causes that kind of plastic to crack and leak. Have you experienced this happening? If so, did you switch to an alternative?
@@mayaquirino5976 really late comment but that's just unavoidable really. If you look closely even his print has a bad surface underneath the handle, but its a functional print so it doesn't need to look good. If you want the underside of a print to look good it's more advisable to change the print's orientation in your slicer, use supports, or cut the print in a 3d modeling software and print in pieces.
The way you solve problems is pretty cool
Wow integza, you watched this vid, how you doin without your mustache

Integza?!??it’s rly awesome to even see ur comment!
remember, tomatoes are disgusting.
This guys video quality is insane
especially for how small he is. his content is better than some UA-camrs with millions of subscribers, no cap.
also, they are very easy to understand and concise.
bro he has a 20k hd camera
@@krisko7243 well his older stuff was filmed on an iphone
This is Tina from Creality! Really touched and impressed :) Can't wait to see your 3DPrintMill(CR-30)- Belt 3D printer's video later lol
Nice we like this guy keep the merch coming!!!
@@TheBlueOfTheSky LMAO, we like him as well!
@@Creality3D I just got my LD in today and I am STOKED! Much love for you guys~

A recommendation from an experienced resin printer is too have your printer near some ventilation source, whether it be a window or a custom ventilation system. I’m sure you’ve heard a lot about VOC’s since getting your resin printer and they build up around your home over time without proper ventilation and can cause all sorts of long term health defects and I can’t have that happening to such a good content creator!
thanks for the comment! that’s actually one of the first mods i’m adding to this guy. definitely going to try my best to address that. thanks!
I don't 3D print or Resin print, stumbled across the videos by pure luck and they're well made and relaxing to watch that I've just stayed around haha!
I been waiting since 1984 for another video
Let’s goooo
right?
Your editing skills are on another level! Great video and I hope you like resin printing, I have really enjoyed both. Also great job on the diy setup for cleaning and curing.
did not realize how new your channel is i watched your ender 3 modding vid and thought you were around for years, your hard work really shows and i dont doubt that you will blow up.
Those DIY solutions are really really cool! And this short video format is awesome, cause it doesnt feel like its too short or like you are missing something out.
Ur videos ARE SO GOOD! Like this one was not even long or as detailed as some of ur other videos but it was still incredibly entertaining. Keep it up man!!!
Can we just appreciate the amount of work Scott puts into these videos
GENIUS! Love the work Scott!
I subscribed as soon as I saw your Ender 3 upgrades video many months ago. Just got my first resin printer from Phrozen and I knew exactly where to check first for home made wash and cure ideas. Thanks again Scott!
Absolutely LOVE how he does his videos...
What I find interesting in your videos is the good taste in design, even if it is DIY stuff! Great work!
Pretty nice DIY setup. Looks pretty minimalistic and clean
Your videos are spectacular man, keep it up!
Turning a food waste bin into a UV Box was genius. Your DIY creations always look clean and professional. I doubt I'd be allowed to do that to mine because it's property of the Local Council.
This thing is so good, I love your videos ❤️
This is one of the coolest channels. Looking forward to this content!
agreed! now we wait years for a new video.
You're really making me itch to get into this hobby. Awesome content.
Really creative and i appreciate your method , real maker makes
love the videos refreshing content on youtube and to the point
Your videos are CLEAN! From one artist to another, love your work.
I love your videos! Have been waiting for another one, and was surprised to see one about a Resin printer.
I am soon getting an Ender 3 Pro, and most of the mods I plan to have are thanks to your mods video! Really appreciate it.
Well keep the quality content up, and hope you're well.
So glad to of found your channel. All high quality videos. I can tell you have a passion for this, I really hope ya make it. Love the way you edit and direct your videos, looking forward to more!
thank you for the kind words coby! glad you're enjoying my videos!
Like I said in the comments of a previous video, your video quality is amazing and your vids are really entertaining. By the time I viewed this vid there were no dislikes, let’s keep it that way.
Big fan of your videos!
Just starting 3D resin printing and your video helped so much! Also your video flow is amazing.
it's crazy how you made it look so elegant
Totally using this food container wash station idea! For anyone that may not have Amazon Prime for whatever reason I found that Walmart has a Better Homes and Gardens line of air tight food containers that look very much like the OXO ones and they're a bit cheaper. Of course you'd have to modify the dimensions of Scott's STL to make it fit.
5 gallon bucket works great for curing and turntable! Great video as always! Thank you!
Brilliant! The video style too!
Awesome channel my dude! Fantastic production quality, great info, and some really handy tips. Subbed and liked~
Love your stuff! So creative.
You got my SUB!
You make incredible videos. Keep it up!!
Friggin cool man. Great job on that cure box
I came from your viral Ender 3 video and loved all of your additions...
Your 3D modeling skills must be pretty up there, I can't even imagine where to start with design...
Nice modifying , enjoy
Totally practical, not for snobs. Liked a subbed!
Finally new video!!!!!
Great job, love your ideas.

I got an Ender 3 because of you. I just got a LD002R (because of you). Thanks
Nice job ! Great video 👍
Oh shhhhhhhhh seattle homie!!!! I was looking at the elegoo wash kit thing and I was like.......I could make this myself I think..... Found you. GREAT vid man! This would take sooo much time with the test prints as you said! Great job seeing it through!
You legend
You FAST
Wow! Great craft! Great editing! I’m really happy to have found your channel.
PS: all that IPA talk had me looking for the beer :)
Me too... Didn't even realize I was already drinking one till I read this comment.
Great job on the video production! Informative and beautifully entertaining! +1
these things looks dope
You deserve more subs!!!
Thank you!
It's not scrappy at all my friend. It's awesome how you save yourself money and did it as you wanted. It really inspired me to do my own set up
underrated channel
Great vid!
Love your setups from your videos, mine are like chaos theory testing systems in comparison, going to steal some ideas from you!
White... Soo much white!!!❤️ Love your vids keep em coming yo!
Great setup! I'm planning on getting a resin printer next year. Fortunately I live somewhere with A LOT of sun throughout most of the year, so a curing device is not necessary for me. You might want to move your printer far away from your living area, though, because I've heard lots of reports that the fumes the resin gives off can make one nauseous when being exposed to them a lot and that sensitivity increases over time. Fortunately I have a spare bedroom that I use as storage space only and I'm going to set up my resin printer in there. If you don't have one (Seattle, right?) make sure to keep your windows wide open during printing and post-processing
Dude you are my idol
You are the best
another great video, good job lol
Those debranded Ryobi? Tools in white look sick, great work man!
Damn, I love the way you make your own stuff and how you register it on video. I wanted to buy one printer and help you but apparently there's a LOT of stuff I'll have to buy additionally and i have not the money :( another time! Keep up the good job!
Scrappy? Man, those things look fantastic! Coupled with your video quality, your DIY's look very stylish, I wish I could be more organized and not having my printing station looking like any dad's average workbench, full of tools, dust and grime
Its amazing
After this and the ender 3 upgrades, you deserve a sub!
tons of subs*
Este canal es muy bueno! Espero poder ser tu primer fan mexicano declarado
Nice, like coming back to XIV-th century - everything handmade in medieval manufactory :)
Ok, this is kinda great set-up! 😳
Hope I will have soon time to do also some videos about my projects... I'm still doing just video manuals and stuff like that... 😅
You sir, are a genius! Just got the new photon monox. Too bad already have a curing station or else would totally build your version
hey scott! i love your vids!! how do you get your prints to stick so well on your ender 3? happy thanksgiving!
Yeah lets get some more content you area top notch creator. for sure.
best ever
you really deserve more attention, the quality of your videos are insane. also i have clicked on the link for music by cameron luck but only two songs show up and i was wondering if there was something wrong with the link. Keep up the good work!!
I'm just bad at posting to Spotify LOL. A lot of the stuff Scott is using in the videos are pre-release and aren't fully mixed, mastered, and arranged yet, but will be coming soon! Stay tuned!
@@CamLuck thanks for the reply! sick music btw
@wupdewup no problem and thanks for the kind words!

I am looking for my first printer. On surch i found you. Love your Videos. Please more Thanks! :)
I like to see your doing with the videos...great sloving ...make work more easy ..👍👍👍🎉🎉🎉
great and simple builds I really enjoyed your video . If I may what make of glue gun is that and where can I buy one.
you crazy love white color right? ha ha ha great upgrade ❤❤❤
That's nice man. I wish white everything would work as well for me as it does for you. Surprised you didn't 3D print a cover for your timer on the curer 🤔 Good stuff man.
so great! wondering where u get all this skill?
only you would make a casual tutorial on making a uv box in the middle of a video about a 3d printer, and i love that, most people would've made it a separate video and tried to link it and get everyone to go watch that one too
Damn that's a nifty compost bin! What do you do with your compost stuff now?
bro you applied the IKEA design to your whole life and i respect that
Nice and relaxing video, i must say that im suprised that you didn´t design a cover for the timer unit. :)
“Scrappy” he says 😅. This guy is amazing
DUDE, you just made the entire horrible process (that's so messy and smelly and akward that im thinking of throwing it all in the trash soon) look so simple and clean its made me think twice. im so doing this - thankyou
did the UV lights come with the extra wire to solder together or did you have to get that seperately?
Use 2 ethanol containers. With the first for cleanning the pieces roughly and the second for finishing the cleaning. The surface finishing is better and you are going to waste less alcohol
what is that white power tools brand? it looks really nice
hi, nice video, but about the curing, doesnt glass block a huge amount of UVB?
damn scott. your videos are just amazing.
be careful with nitrile gloves: some resins or organic solvents penetrate nitrile gloves in seconds, and while your hands are sweating inside the gloves, the open pores absorb whats coming through the gloves even better. butyl gloves are the solution here, even though they are less convenient due to thickness.
also black light LEDs but be way too weak in the needed wavelength band. if you need a stronger UV light source, try the lamps that are used in tanning beds for the facial tanner. those work great, but produce quite some heat.
keep up the great stuff!!!!
hey scott how did you get so good at modeling using fusion i suck at it
