I think troubadour is the most fitting description of our Plant.
Either that or wanderer, the guy never stops. Wish he'd release his new records already, there's Band of Joy II that's been stashed away for a decade plus the new krauss record he's done. This pandemic slowed everything down, quite frustrating.
He’s an original...living, creating, listening, observing. Robert Plant is singular and he’s clearly, a very blessed man, enjoying his walk.

57 yrs for me. Saw Zepp live in ‘77. They were shit. Just horrid. Robert was definitely the talent in that band. His solo records just get better and better.

Listening to this while having my morning coffee and looking out over my yard towards the woods. Noticing how the angle of the sunlight is shifting from late summer into fall. The air is cooling down and there is a stillness in the atmosphere. Perfect soundtrack to the moment. Thanks Robert.

Of all the songs available to me on my tablet, this is the one I keep coming back to. Not only does Robert just own this song but it shows everyone that snow on the roof doesn't mean the fire in the furnace is not as warm as when he was younger. I still believe he means every word he's saying.
I’ve read through quite a few of the comments below, and while everyone seems to be as moved and impressed as I am with this song, I haven’t heard anyone say anything about the story behind this song. It’s my understanding that many years ago, I think during the Zeppelin years, Robert lost a young son. I’m not sure how it happened, but if you’ve ever lost a child - as I have - you know where the passion and the heart comes from that you’re hearing in this song. Robert, I’m almost 63 years old, and so Zeppelin was all the rage when I was young. But I admit I never appreciated Zeppelin the way I do now, and your solo music since then has been even better. It’s how I learned to appreciate your genius. Please continue making music for as long as you can! Your talent is as unique as they come. God bless you! ❤️❤️❤️
I find Robert's solo music to be much better than Zeppelin's, from at least Fate of Nations going forward, Plant just kept getting into the groove of the music, fearless as hes ever been

Quite simply a beautiful song. “There’s peace along the wayside on this solitary road” - love the way RP conjures up the perfect lyrics to convey the message.
This is incredible, it is unbelievable! The way they changed the song for the occasion, it is brilliant, I love it! The guitar, my goodness, light like air and they make the sound flow too, and the speech and the way he shared... it is already one of my fav performances of his! This is truly special and precious, I am thankful for this man's work, the more the time passes, the more I admire the man. Fantastic.

Led Zeppelin will always be my favorite band. I have a cat that is probably my closest companion, oddly enough he really likes Led Zeppelin. When I was trying to find a name for him I decided on a lot of different names but he was sitting on my lap and No Quarter started playing and I decided to make him Thor from the line “the winds of Thor are blowing cold” it stuck immediately. Yeah, I just thought I’d share that because my cat loves Led Zeppelin and so do I. I really like your solo work, as well.

See, amongst so many things to love about this man's extensive and innovative musical works, is the element of the unexpected. He begins this song as a quiet and approachable tune, accompanied by a nuanced guitar duet by the two players in the lower right of the video. Then without warning, the song explodes into the ambient air with a mesmerizing chord that takes the song into an emotional stratosphere, an intense and deeply resonant epiphany of sound. (I see my conflicting terms here, "deep", but into the "stratosphere", but when you are in the musical and emotional presence of Robert Plant, the aura covers all contradictions.)
I like to watch the drummer, seen from the back at first, when the chord escalates into its full expression. I realize this song is about an ending, but when I heard that chord the first time and continue to hear it, it evokes the exact feeling of falling in love. You know, that moment when you and the other person are having
a conversation, and feelings are developing and then...the moment suddenly takes you into an expanded and altered state into both a deep and elevated convergence.
A beautiful, sad and haunting song ❤ typically Robert touching my heart. Only he can do that to me ❤❤
Can't imagine had Zep continued the beautiful music that would of been created. The first 12 years in my opinion was just the tip of the iceberg.
I agree with the comments that Robert is doing very well in his own right. In many respects, the quality of his voice is better now than when he was part of Led Zeppelin. His current range of songs allow him to express his range far than previously. That is how I see it, and I still enjoy Zeppelin, and did on the two times that I saw them live.
Richard Rowe- People have so much trouble with his current music, but his material is moving, and his voice is spectacular! I loved him with the Band of Joy, Zeppelin, the Honeydrippers... etc. He just makes good music.
This is Robert's Burning Down One Side , Big Log or Tall Cool One, that certain song that stands out from all the others from his new venture . Beautifully put together, it picks up speed at the end and...... Beautiful song .

Robert, if you read this, I hope you consider your career with deep satisfaction for all you have accomplished, and the beauty you have brought into the world with masterpieces like Seasons Song. In 200 years and beyond, people will still be listening to your handiwork just like they will still be listening to Mozart, and for the same reasons.
