I never thought there was anything majorly wrong with the storyline. And criticising the weapon variety is kind of stupid, especially since it had more weapons than any RE game to come before it.
Look, RE4 did bring some cool original features: good weapons sounds/ballistics, shoulder camera view, well detailed enough maps/graphics, some cool characters (Hunk, Krauser etc.), original weapons upgrade system and menu ( i prefer not upgrading like oldschool RE). But it's overrated cause of this: Bad storyline, not enough variety of weapons, repetitive and somewhat boring enemies, well detailed maps but boring.
dude, I have played resident evil since the first one was released, loved it all my life, but people who disrespect resident evil 4 are dumb, Resident evil 4 is my 2nd favourite resident evil game. just cause someone likes four the most does not mean that they are a call of duty lover, thats just simply stupid. I love resident evil 4 and i aboslutly hate call of duty, its boring as fuck.
It sucks that you have to feel that way about it, you expect the game to be the same every year? thats just boring man. If you wanna play a old resident evil game just go play the old one, they are never gonna go back to the old roots, and i dont want them to. I dont want the same game again. resident evil 4 was actually the boost for the series, its not dying at all. of course id rather have the old series, but other people will think its boring, and its true. gaming is different now.

First of all, i said VARIETY, not QUANTITY. Secondly, i wasn't comparing it to other RE games, but criticizing it as a game apart.
