Excellent. So glad the camera came in close when the mayo was emulsifying as that gave me a great sense of how noisy it will be standing next to it. It’s no noisier than my current food processor, and when it’s cooking it’s lovely and quiet. I’m so close to getting one! Need to see a cake video, but of course if the all in one isn’t to my liking I can always use it for everything except the flour and then fold that in by hand. A couple of questions about attachments. The dicer. Do you need to use your own strength to push the vegetable through the little squares or does it pull/push it through for you? Is the juice extractor that fits it suitable for making things like passata?
I have severe chronic fatigue syndrome, pain issues in my hands, arms, back etc etc, and have been thinking a thermo cooker would be a big help, but I also have ear issues and the others all kill my ears. They either have screaming/squealing motors, or ridiculously loud beeps that go off every time you change a setting. Just awful. I thought I was going to have to give up the search but today looked into this one and I think we have a winner! I might not even need a stand mixer or bread machine if I get this!

Hi Monique, thanks for your feedback! You can download the app to have a look at the different cake recipes. On the dicing kit, yes you'll need to push the vegetables through the chute. On the juice extractor, yes it makes wonderful passata. So easy and good for you because you know exactly what goes in it.
The Cook Expert is great if you have pain issues as it eliminates the need for constant stirring and and even some chopping jobs. It also has the Quiet Mark badge, which means that it is the quietest machine of its kind in the market: www.quietmark.com/products/awarded-products/kitchen/food-processing/magimix-cook-expert-food-processor
If you have any more questions please feel free to reach out to us at info@magimix.com.au or 1300 624469 if you are AU based.

@@MagimixAus oh what a great website! I’m saving that one!
Yesterday afternoon I decided that there was still one product that I hadn’t considered fully, the Tefal, so I searched for a stockist of both that and the Magimix so I could compare them. Called Kitchen Warehouse and spoke to a lovely girl who went through everything with me (she was so patient!) and I ordered the Magimix!! Yay!!! I’m so excited! It will be here in a couple of days. Yay! Happy dance!
I decided that I’ll probably take the chance with the dicer. It looks like the only thing that might be difficult to get through it would be sweet potato, which I don’t think I’ll be growing in any major quantity. I’m going to order the citrus press direct from Magimix as they didn’t have it in stock, but the rest of the attachments I don’t need until I’ve moved and can have a big veggie garden again so I’ll wait to get those rather than have to store them in my awful teeny kitchen here. I’m going to wait for the CE to arrive before I order the citrus press so I can flick through the recipe book and decide if I want another one straight away as well. After I move I might decide I still want a stand mixer and a couple of those have dicing attachments that pull food through so if I’m having trouble with the MM dicer I’ll get one of those.
I’ve downloaded the app and saved a few recipes into my favourites already. I’ve also joined a couple of Facebook groups. I hadn’t been on Facebook for over a year but I guess I’m going back lol. And I’m going to the supermarket tonight so will grab a couple of extra things to test it out. So I think I’m all set to get started. Yay!

@@moniquem783 Hi Monique, your question was really helpful. I was reading along thinking I have the exact same question; and then I came to it, you have severe ME/CFS. So do I and it is the reason I am looking at this machine, particularly for chopping. I don't know if you will see this comment but it would be absolutely wonderful to hear how you've got along with the Cook Expert. Did you find a way to deal with the sweet potato? (I eat a lot myself - I hope you managed to grow them!) How is the dicer; do you have to exert a lot to use it? How do you find the juice extractor - is it efficient in terms of juice:produce ratio? I follow a diet with a high volume of fruit and vegetables, the downside is the preparation time and the labour involved... so I'm really interested in how the Magimix can save energy exertion. If you receive this and are able to reply, I would LOVE to hear how you've got along. Thank you for your question in any case. All best wishes, Kate

@@katemarris3631 hi Kate! Yes I love love love my Cook Expert! It’s fabulous! However I haven’t bought all the planned attachments yet so I haven’t tested the dicer or juicer. I haven’t moved house yet, mine is sold and I’m just waiting for my next one in the country to pop up, and my kitchen here is so small that I just don’t want to add extra things to store yet. I’ve been making some killer risotto’s though! They turn out beautifully and they’re so easy!
Also have been doing a lot of lemon curd as my neighbour kept dropping lemons on my doorstep, plus it’s a great way to use up excess eggs which I’ve always got with 6 chickens. And a pretty jar of curd makes a wonderful little gift. I even picked the cape gooseberries off my bush and froze them until I had enough and made a cape gooseberry curd. Really good!
I have decided that I’m going to get a stand mixer after I move. I’m going to get the Kenwood one with an induction cooker built in as once I move I’ll have a cow and will be making cheese and I can use that to stir the cheese. I think the Cook Expert will stir a bit aggressively for cheese making. The Kenwood has a dicer attachment that’s powered so I think I’ll be getting that one just to be on the safe side. I will still be getting the juicer though and the citrus press and probably quite a few other attachments. Just first I need my new house and need to get my garden going there so I have things to juice and slice and chop and then I’ll have a little attachment spree lol.
The food processor is wonderful. So powerful yet not horribly loud like so many others. It does a wonderful job and is so fast! I made some butter in it a few weeks ago. I had watched a UA-camr I follow make some in a stand mixer and it took ages and she had to scrape down the sides multiple times. 4 minutes in the food processor and it was ready to drain lol. I knew it would be quicker! This week I’m making hachee, a Dutch dish, so will be slicing a whole lot of onions in the food processor then cooking them in the Cook Expert. Looking forward to that one!
Sorry I can’t answer all of your questions fully. This moving to the country thing is taking a lot longer than I thought. I hope I’ve helped a bit though. I think you’ll love the Cook Expert. Do be aware that the metal bowl can be a bit on the heavy side when it’s full. I usually portion out whatever I make so that means a lot of holding the bowl above a container to pour. It’s manageable, but I’m always careful to make sure there’s a clear spot nearby so I can put it down for a minute if I need to. I’m very tempted to get the bigger metal bowl as it would be so handy for batch cooking, but I’m a bit worried it will be too heavy. I’ll probably try it though and come up with something to rest it on to pour.
I hope that was helpful for you!

You've probably had feedback on this before, but the sound set up when you're speaking isn't great. I wonder if there is an easy fix for that? (I'm no expert on youtube/recordings) but it's kind of hollowed out and "echoey" and detracts from your otherwise excellent video.

So you basically get a 5200XL included, but you don’t get all the 5200XL accessories ? Which need to be purchased separately, is that correct ?
I can’t see the citrus press or the blendermix. The accessory box that holds all the attachments, not just discs also seems to be absent.

I’m just wondering if there is a reason why you don’t use the whole egg for the mayo. I’ve always used the whole egg and it’s always delicious. Just curious.

Because the traditional recipe is with egg yolk only. You will never find mayonnaise made with whole egg in France.

It seems like a great appliance but I'm concerned that in every demonstration of the Magimix Cook Expert on You Tube it's stated that the motor has a warranty for 30 years, when in fact the warranty also states, OR a 1000 hours. This is never mentioned in the advertising and if the appliance is used regularly, e.g., for 5 hours a week for various recipes, the warranty on the motor will expire in approximately 4 years. I think to keep pushing the idea that the warranty will last 30 years is deceptive as this would mean that the appliance could only be used for about 40 minutes a week for that period of time.

    • @MagimixAus
      @MagimixAus  2 роки тому +1

Hi there, thanks for your comment. When getting in touch with Customer Service, all that matters is the date on the purchase receipt. Rest assured we do honor the 30-year motor warranty. Please also note that the number of motor hours is not the same as the total number of hours that the appliance has been used. For example, when making soup, the total preparation time is about 30 minutes, but the motor is actually only used for about 1 minute. Hope this helps!
