as far as why certain anime only have one season most of the time it only comes down to sales. though other shows are able to tell an entirely complete story in that one season. Parasyte tells it's complete story in a single season. Deadman wonderland has a pretty intense cult following but because of a lack of sales and popularity in Japan it never got a second season. sometimes it can also be controversy regarding the author that causes issues as well
Luke, without spoiling ... Deadman Wonderland is done similar to a horror/thriller movie of the 90s. It is graphic but I honestly have no clue if it's too graphic for UA-cam. It's a great anime. It's one of the cases where an anime only has one season due to only needing one season to tell the story. Think of it as a sort of TV Mini-series. A lot of thriller/horror/mystery/suspense anime are only a single season. Anime is almost never cancelled, they leave them open-ended and can come back with new episodes anywhere from 1 season to 20 years later. It's very different to American TV in that way. The best example of this that everyone knows is Attack on Titan; season 1 was released in 2013 while season 2 didn't come out until 2017. Closed-ended series can, in fact, come out with "sequel series" well after the fact. The horror series Chaos; Head came out in 2008 while it's sequel series Chaos; Child was released in 2017. Now, as to the band Fade, they were actually out worldwide in exactly the timeframe you mentioned. Fade, Trapt, Creed, Lifehouse, Fury in the Slaughterhouse, Offspring, Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin, Shark Island, Spread Eagle, Asphalt Ballet, Days of the New, etc all debuted fairly close together (within a few years of each other). There were tons of great bands during that time period.
I KNEW IT WAS YOUR MUSIC XDDD, its just probably cause your community didn't have enough of the RETRO anime fans from 2000s when more of these type of music was around. XD i was one of the folks suggesting deadman wonderland.
Big reason it only got one season is because they made the decision to cut one of the unimportant characters from the early arc...and then that character ended up being VERY important in the arc immediately after and for the rest of the series.
@@SyxxPunk Ah, thanks for the explanation. I wonder if it’ll ever get a reboot/remake. I have no clue if the manga was successful enough to justify that though. I really should just read the manga.
When you watch the first 3 chapters of the anime, you will realize that the lyrics of the song perfectly describe the content or the main point of the series, that increases much more the value of the opening.
i NEED an anime studio to pick this up and do a reboot but they need to KEEP THIS ENERGY 🥺 such an undervalued anime that never got what it deserved 🥺🥺🥺🥺 (this song is like if breaking benjamin and three days grace had a song child 😂😂😂)
The anime failed as soon as they cut Azami. It will probably never get a reboot since it was only moderately popular even at its peak. They had their one shot, and the blew it.
Unfortunately, they cut out a character that became very important later in the story. It was bad enough that they couldn’t recover it, which is a shame.
Deadman Wonderland is an awesome anime with an awesome theme song, but it apparently wasn't super successful back in Japan and got canceled after only one 12 episode season back in 2011. The animation studio Manglobe went bankrupt just four years later, too, very sad stuff. Still say it's worth the watch, just be prepared for it to end rather abruptly.
The anime failed because they needlessly cut a fan favorite character that was also central to the story. So fans knew the anime series wouldn't be able to continue and so did the studio (the fools EVENTUALLY figured it out), so they ended it with the first season. The manga was better, anyway. The only thing noteworthy from the anime was the great opening song that encapsulated the themes of the manga.
This song and Kiri by Monorail (Ergo Proxy opening) are two of my favorite anime openings. The animation matches so perfectly with the song too. Really sets the mood for the entire series
Some anime's are designed to be 1-2 seasons, often they are really good because the anime creators have the full story available to them before they begin their work. Some get canceled. Deadman got canceled because they created the anime before the manga had finished and decided to cut out a character that wound up being central to the story. Apparently there was no way to reconcile it. That said, its still worth the watch. They did a great job with what they had.
@@malkuusha They cut Azami from the anime. Which was the worst decision they could have made considering how central she was to Ganta and Shiro's character development. There was no reason for it, either. The studio was just being lazy.
Wow I never heard that was the reason. I had no idea why it never came back with season 2. I read some of the manga past the anime, but it was so long ago that it was hard to find so I dropped off. Always meant to go back and read more.
You definitely need to checkout more of the music by this band, they’re called “FADE”. Personally I like these songs the most: So Far Gone Black Hearts And Dollar Signs Till The End Of Time Cosmicalism EDIT: yes I still listen to them even a decade later. 🙌🏼😂
I second this. Also, fun fact, the lead singer is an American that transplanted to Japan when he was a teen. He has amazing vocals in both languages but finding their music can be super tricky. I’d love to see a reaction to Cross the Line (Izetta the Last Witch’s opening) or all of the Fairy Gone openings
You should react to both black lagoon openings and drifters opening, since there arent that many you can do both in one video. And they are right down your alley.
Luke, please react to "Babylon OST - A Given". The composer is Yutaka Yamada, the one who did "Tokyo Ghoul OST - Glassy Sky" This OST is really good. It suits the main villain's personality really well (beautiful, appealing, and charismatic, but at the same time there are elements of dark and evil in it). You might wanna react to the Babylon Opening as well, but it is really short only 30 seconds. So, you should just listen to the full version of it or along with the short version.
Damn, I've just checked out the OST 'cause I saw your comment. And now it's become one of my favorite OSTs. Thanks for your recommendation. Do you recommend the show itself?
@@KenAurora I personally really like Babylon, it has the same vibe as Psycho-Pass. The music, the suspense, the mystery, the question, and the villain is really good. The only thing I am disappointed about is when they do philosophical discussion, it's just not deep enough even though the topic of the discussion itself is really interesting.
It's an Amusement Park, called Dead Wonderland run by prisoners with other dark stuff going on in it and you understand the intro far more after seeing it and having the knowledge. Also yes, 1 season animes are simply the full season is the full story, however some of course have plans for one or more seasons, but they never happen.
This is one of those opening songs from an anime that I honestly just think blows most out of the water. It's been a while since I listed to it and forgot just how much I love this song. Wish it was on spotify.
This is absolutely the type of music I used to listen to as a kid, I really recommend watching the "black lagoon" and "soul eater" openings, but if you want something strange try "serial experiments lain" or boogiepop and others"
This anime is great! It definitely stood out to me years ago when I watched it like a few anime sadly it did get canceled. Another anime openings I think you would absolutely love is "Soul Eater" openings, it's such a classic anime and the animation style is extremely unique and very impressive since it was early 2000's (its ending to the show wasn't Canon because they kept going faster than the manga but despite that it remains a really good show), it's endings are honestly also on par with the openings as they're pretty unique. Only thing is do NOT watch "Soul Eater Not", it was a spin off attempt they made after the original show and its best to say that the fandom does not appreciate it
Ergo Proxy is a dark methodical and very intricate story. Not many anime like it. The opening is really good Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the top intros of all time as it’s the most iconic series Soul Eater Openings/endings are great, papermoon especially. Also it’s the spooky season so it fits Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the best shonen’s ever and is the previous work of HunterxHunter’s author
Yeah this song is such a vibe, totally what I used to listen to when I was younger too. I think I even heard the song first which made me watch Deadman Wonderland. Such a shame it didn't get finished. I reckon it would actually do super well if it was revamped
This is exactly the kind of stuff I used to listen to when I was in my teens, and I still do sometimes now at age 30. In fact, you were basically describing me age 12-18 when you were describing yourself back then haha. Deadman Wonderland is good, but the anime was cancelled, so I wouldn't even bother watching it if I were you. I bought the manga after being blueballed by the show
So glad you liked this opening. It makes me sad when I see TOP ANIME OPENINGS LIST and this isnt on there. There are 1000s of bangers but people only pay attention to like 300(clearly random rough estimate lol)
I can't remember if you've reacted to Fire Force anime openings or not, but those would be up your alley. Also I'm going to keep recommending the Guilty Gear games. The best way to explain it is it's basically the essence of metal music infused into anime.
Without ruining the story, basically it's set in a prison for death row inmates. They use the prisoners as entertainment by making them play death games
Heej, this is one I recommended. This is one of my favorite openings of all time, and potentially my favorite anime opening song after "the rumbling", have it in my playlist. Hope you're watching the...uncensored version LOL. There's unfortunately only one season of this anime, it had a lot of wasted potential. While I liked it, if I'm honest I can't recommend it, the season doesn't finish the story and the anime is unlikely to ever continue. Also, what do you mean "when you were younger", I still listen to this and drowning pool XD Edit: Ahhhh, that's too bad, you had the censored version, no nude dancing girls for you mate.
Most shows get greenlit for one season and depending on how well it's received IN JAPAN it might get more seasons. Most anime are viewed as ways to promote the source material and merchandise to be honest. There are shows designed to be just a single season, usually not based on any existing material: last season's Lycoris Recoil being a good example. Sometimes a show blows past all the expectations and receives more seasons even though it was supposed to have only 1, like Symphogear
Most of the time an "anime" is like some sort of an advertisement for the source material (i.e. manga, light novels etc.) If it gains traction and profit then they might proceed for another season. That was back then when TV. VHS tapes and CD's were prevalent. I don't know about these days I mean the online streaming era.
A lot of one season shows are almost like teasers for Light novels or manga that have seen decent success. So many times it will be first 2-3 arcs of the story then end with huge cliffhangers to get people into the story and buying the books. It's actually not too common for them to get more season unless the source material is already finished with massive followings or the first season ends up becoming hugely popular like Attack on Titan. A lot of the shows with 4 or more seasons are a bit different because they tend to belong to massive publishing companies that have insanely popular several hundred page long magazines coming out every month with new chapters in a bunch of stories all at once like Shueisha (the company that publishes dragon ball, Naruto and many other famous IPs) who have their own anime branch and enough money to release an episode every week nearly continuously, so they only really differentiate a season by when the opening changes while the actual seasonal anime will be more on short term deals with 12-25 episode season that will be separated by 4 months to several years until the next batch of stuff comes, if it ever does. Deadman Wonderland fall into the seasonal category and only had the first arc animated but it wasn't very popular in Japan in 2011 and the animation company went out of business a few years later killing basically any hope of the anime continuing. Would still highly recommend watching though as it's high quality and you can read the Manga later if you want to see the story to the end.
Its only 1 season and it ended quite abruptly, what little of it there is is amazing tho. Also im 23 and this is the kind of music i listen to now. One reason is top 3 openings for me
Parasyte is a complete adaptation. They covered everything in one season alone. The very fact that a 1990s manga got a successful adaptation after almost 20 yrs means someone cared about it even after such a long time. Same for Devilman Crybaby. I love seeing animation studios do that.
Deadman Wonderland anime didn't work out too well with an anime original story... but I still hear people saying that the manga is awesome. Loved the first anime episodes though.
It is more profitable for the studios to make the 1st season of the anime without finishing the plot, and if it is not very popular, start making another anime. It also often happens that after many years an unfinished anime becomes popular and studios make sequels (for example, AOT was originally a failed anime and its sequel was canceled LOL, the second season was released after 4 years). And there are also anime that end in season 1, like Parasyte or Steins;Gate
Deadman wonderland’s basic premise is that Ganta a teenage boy gets framed for the death of his entire class and gets sent to deadman wonderland. A prison turned into a tourist attraction when death row inmates compete in death games to entertain audiences. If you with a game you get a candy which add a day to you explosive collar. If your timer hits zero you die so inmates are force to “entertain” via the games or die. It’s a pretty memorable show albeit rocky in some spots also has some supernatural element that come into play as well. This was also back before anime got censored to hell and back, so lots of blood and f bombs every episode I will say that it has one of the craziest plot twists I’ve seen in anime. It’s been over 10 years since I’ve watch the show but gd does that shit hit hard
Sometimes you watch an anime and you will apreciate the opening over time while watching. But then you got struck by something like this. It was one of the first "grown" anime where the opening really hooked me. Really hard. I love everything about it 'til this day. And the anime, despite it's problems, is still a great one in my heart. And maybe it is good for being a shorter anime - you can watch it within a few hours and be satisfied.
I think you should check out the op of Kokkoku. I haven't watched the show and from what I've heard it's apparently not particularly good, but the op is absolutely amazing and the vibe is immaculate. The full song is called flashback by myawi vs kenken
This anime is one of the first that I got so hooked and read my first manga! The song you listened to was my ringtone from 2012 till at least 2016/17 and the only reason I changed it was because I lost the mp3 when I was swtiching a phone and then had a different one ended up forgetting... I know it's a year and a half old video, but I'll still answer the questions. Yes, the story is really good (imo). Worth the watch, but you will have to read the manga if you want to get the rest of the content. A lot of anime that last 1 season/couple seasons and never get anything else to even finish the story can be many different reasons. Sometimes it's not enough viewership, not enough profit, loss of rights to the IP, the artist refusing a deal they didn't like, a Studio not wanting to pick up the anime since another studio had worked on it before.. At the end of the day all entertaining media is a business, so on top of the things I mentioned, you can add anything from advertising to sponsors, to other issues that may arise in the sphere... I haven't looked personally the reasoning for Deadman Wonderland, but I think as quite a few other movies/series are made. They hook you into the show so you get the book(or in this case the manga). Like "The Polar Express" movie never got finished even though it was a really good movie and got a decent views for its time. They wanted people to read the books. All in all if you haven't seen it yet, you should check it out! It's not a big commitment since it's short.
glad to know i wasnt the only one who loved his opening out of other openings.. this opening is too good or unique.. i love it no matter how many times i listened to it
One Reason has made it onto a lot of my music lists which when it comes to anime openings I scarcely do. I wish one day that another studio would pick the show back up like HunterXHunter (2011) did off the partial series run
That opening was in the 100 anime openings video you reacted to, it stood out for me because it had been a while since I heard that song and it reminded me how good it was. The anime is pretty good but yeah only one season with 12 episodes, pretty much unfinished. You can still watch it though then read the manga to get the full story.
I'd love to see you do reactions to these anime openings and closings. Samurai Champloo - both are some of the best anime music imo. Nujabes (rip) was an amazing producer. Hellsing (original and Ultimate) - opening for original Hellsing is amazing. Blood C - great opening Naruto Shippuden - openings (20, 13, 1, 3, 6 and 10 are my favorite but most are good and 13 through 20 are really good). Cowboy Bebop if you haven't done it has amazing opening and ending. Trigun - opening especially. Outlaw Star - opening and both endings are so good. Dororo - first opening is perfection.
I really loved Deadman wonderland back then. It was (next to Mirai Nikki and Another) one of my first very dark animes I‘ve watched. As for recommandations I would suggest the opening for Rainbow: Nisha Rokubo no Shichinin. It’s a fantastic anime in my opinion and has an absolute banger opening I‘m pretty sure you would also enjoy :)
I’m just going to throw one out there for you. The Asobi Asobase ending theme. Probably wouldn’t be great content cause it wasn’t a super popular show. But THAT ending goes harder, HARDER, then any anime ending ever.
This is certainly one of the genres that I listened to back then. Pretty solid song, I might have to listen to FADE as well. Didn't know it was a band outside the opening.
You should definitely check out chainsaw man’s op. It’s a new anime that just came out earlier this week and it’s already one of the most popular openings ever. I think you’ll love it.👍👍
this song is actually a modified version of an original song of the band that plays it that they made for the show because the original songs have a message that fits the show a lot. the original song is black hearts and dollars sign
I only realized a few years back that One Reason is a self-cover with lyrics adapted for Deadman Wonderland. The original song is called "Black Hearts and Dollar Signs".
A cool set of openings to do would be RWBY. It has 8 openings, all the songs are amazing and performed by the same Father-Daughter duo of Jeff and Casey Lee Williams. It's also amazing to watch the animation quality jump as time passes and the team gets more experience and resources, as well as Casey's singing start off good and then grow into phenomenal.
Most anime pre-2013 only got one season with "read the manga" endings. Mainly because anime wasn't as popular compared to now and 2nd seasons don't normally do as well. As for Parasyte the Maxim. One season completes the entire story
Asobi Asobase - a single season anime with both opening and ending songs sung in character by the voice actresses from the series. I believe it might make for an interesting reaction. Asobi Asobase - Opening | Three Piece: ua-cam.com/video/xX6R_TTnPEA/v-deo.html Asobi Asobase - Ending | Pulse: ua-cam.com/video/aQ88sSjAETU/v-deo.html Sorry for the repeated post, my first comment was on a video for perhaps the wrong audience. I won't do it again. 😏
There is a very Judas Priest-y song in the Cowboy Bebop ost called "Live in Baghdad"....I think you might like it! As for 1 season anime, there are a lot of anime specifically created for one season but also a lot that never get 2nd season. That happens because a lot of anime are created in order to promote the source material (manga, light novels, games etc). So they make one season, they create hype and people buy the source material and then never return for a second season.
I listen to this song a few times a year but every time I do I have to listen at least 3 times. It is so good. Another really good english anime opening is Gospel of the Throttle from the anime Drifters.
There are a lot of anime from years ago/even today that are made just to suck people into a universe enough to get them interested in the manga after the first season ends. If the sales end up doing well, then the committees consider funding another.
Yep, this song would've fit perfectly into my playlist back then with my papa roach and green day, and I was only 10! To think that despite my musical taste evolving from those days it's still basically the same to this day.
FLCL was a one shot season show. Then over a decade later they did another stand alone. Black Lagoon, Hellsing Ultimate (another one season an done, it just took a few years to get them all out one OVA at a time) and Jormangand are NSFW but amazing anime!
Recommending Tales of Berseria opening. it's a game but it has a very animeish opening. Also my favorite main character in the Tales Of games. I love Velvet so much.
Since you like darker music/themes in shows here are some more recommendations for openings to check out: Murder Princess Hell Girl Tokyo Majin Monster Shikabane Hime Aka Elfen Lied Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Umineko no Naku Koro ni Paranoia Agent Ergo Proxy Wolf's Rain Serial Experiments Lain Chrono Crusade Trinity Blood Some series are darker than others here, like the ones that are specifically horror for example. But I feel like you might like at least some of these.
Nice reaction as always. If you want to, I think you can try Gintama OP 13 "Sakura Mitsutsuki". This song is legendary, I find it funny that a lot of people don't watch the anime or don't even know about the band but they said they definitely heard this song somewhere before 😂
When I found this Anime a few years ago I watched the whole thing in 2 days, And played this song for an exceptionally long time. Compared to Titan, Deadman Wonderland is just as bloody or more with a Psychotic twist. This Anime is dark, and I would recommend it along with Overlord. Overlord just finished its 4th season in both Dub and Sub. I recommend Dub the voice actors for the English version are top notch and translated well. Deadman Wonderland Is Awesome and would also recommend it as well. Dub English
First of all, Deadman Wonderland would definitely be up your alley. As for your questions: - There are a lot of reasons for shows being axed. For example, the source material(whatever that may be) is ongoing and the anime adaptation has caught up and they stopped. An example of this one is Black Clover. While the manga is still ongoing, the anime adaptation stopped because it reached the source material. Some of them are cut EXTREMELY abruptly, like Deadman Wonderland and No Game No Life. Miss-communication between the authors of the source material and the team responsible for the anime adaptation plays a HUGE roll or things like the budget being too low for a second season at the time or the show not getting enough views like the show that you mentioned. Then we have shows like Full Metal Alchemist anime adaptation that got an original ending but after popular demand it got the proper ending of the manga with Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Of course there are shows like Soul Eater that got original endings while the source material(in this case the manga) had a proper ending that never got adapted into its anime format. - You want dark shows? These are NOT youtube friendly: Monster. Elfen Lied. Gokukoku no Brynhildr/ (english title - Brynhildr in the Darkness). Akame ga Kill.(this one could probably be shown in YT buuuut you would have to censor the blood a lot.) Claymore. Another. Canaan.(again this one has blood that YT-kun would not like that much.) Shiki. Someone mentioned Ergo Proxy. How could I forget this one? . . . Just my 2 cents.
Kind of right. The orignal track is 'Black Hearts & Dollar Signs' by Fade. However that song has a different meaning and lyrics, though the composition is the same. 'One Reason' uses the same composition but the lyrics are changed as they were written to suit the tone of the anime. So 'One Reason' is essentially a re-skin of the original meant for the anime, which is also why it is a pain to locate on music apps. You can however listen to the fan cover's of this song, but personally I think Fade set the bar high with this op and have yet to find a fan who can do better.
@@mediatorofsouls8695 well i did find the original on spotify so theres two versions the long one with different lyrics and the original 1:30 anime one
@@MrAchsas You mean 'One Reason' by Fade is on Spotify? I just assumed the band didn't release it. I like 'Saints' by People in the box, but they only have a remix, not the original ed of TG season 1. It's not the same, not really. 'One Reason' and 'Saints' are hard to find. In my experience anyway. Thx for sharing.
You should reactio Rage of Bahamut opening one! It's from SIM (same who did Rumbling) and it's really a banger! Also the anime was animated by MAPPA and it's a great but underrated high fantasy.
This song is always accompanied by a good beer and a cigarette followed by Rise up by Drowning pool since the tune is very similar. without a doubt Deadman Wonderland one of my favorite series I just have the last volume of the manga as a souvenir
For a change, I suggest watching some cool anime comedies, maybe you like it? :) From the anime "Grand Blue" you can piss with laughter, Prison School is also good
absolutely one of the most banging openings (and a really enjoyable show honestly), I'm SO glad see it get enough love to react too. Still gonna suggest the RWBY openings. Not exactly the same song style, but i think you'd jam to them hard af.
If you like this song, I think you will like the opening of DMC(detroit metal city) : Satsugai the opening of Mirai nikki : Yousei Teikoku the first is a Comedy where the MC is trusted into the role of a death metal singer, even if he himself doesn't want anything to do with metal. The second is basically an anime spin of “hungers games” like in universe TV program. With gore and psychotic characters.
Yeahh, this got cut short unfortunately. Somewhat reminds me of Gantz, which you should also check out, though the manga for both of them are certainly going to be more fulfilling. That being said, there are shows specifically designed to be just one season, often 12 or 13 episodes. 24/25 if they want to give it more time. School Live, Shiki, Another, Akame ga Kill, and Shingeki no Bahamut come to mind (idk if any of these got continuations) For more recommendations, you should check out the Higurashi OPs! Also highly recommend the show, but it's a bit of a long one. There's the original 2 or 3 season show by Studio Dean (animation kinda lacking, but it somewhat adds to the show honestly) and a more recent remake/sequel with better animation that essentially briefly covers the OG storyline in a slightly different light and then continues it. I can't really get into it because of spoilers, but the whole remake can be considered a sequel in a weird way that you won't understand until you've watched it lmao. But since a lot of it covers similar ground, it can be a slightly tedious watch, so I recommend watching the OG first (the earlier, the better), take a short break with one or two other anime, then coming back with the modern sequel Then there's Umineko, which is another show that was cut short, but still worth a watch. It's an odd and pretty wacky one that you might never fully get answers to unless you check the visual novels. It started out as a completely separate story, but it seems they're tying it to Higurashi, given what the remake covers (though I've only seen the first part of the remake, so idk for sure). Definitely worth the watch if you want the semi-full When They Cry experience. Or you can just check the games - Higurashi and Umineko are fully completed and they've added Ciconia to the mix as well This along with Deadman Wonderland could go on Patreon. That gives you the opportunity to just binge a few episodes - or the whole thing - and upload them. No schedule, no copyright, just record and upload with minimal edits. Works really well for something like Higurashi where it's a slightly longer watch than most because Patreon is just more time efficient
*Spoiler free:* I REALLY can't say anything. If you are already sold on it, *go in fully blind. Episode 1 is gonna hit WAY harder like that.* *It's less gory than Attack on Titan, but arguably more violent. Pretty good.* It is censored unless you somehow find the uncensored version from the BD/DVD. Never got a Season 2 though. It happens. The vast majority of anime, I'd guess around 50%-60% give or take, never get a season 2 or 3 or as many as it needs to finish the story. Even popular ones. The manga already ended though, so you can read the rest all to the end. Most anime stories don't get that chance, so I'm glad this one did at least.
I'd say it's still worth a watch, as others have said it does end with a bunch of unresolved questions, but it still has a full arc with a beginning, middle, and end, it is only 1 arc within a larger story that unfortunately was never fully adapted, but it's still fairly satisfying in its own right, and if you really want to know where the story goes you can always check out the Manga afterwards as it is complete and fully officially localized into english, though if you do that you're gonna want to start over from the top as there's a few important details that got a bit scrambled in the anime adaptation.

I KNEW IT WAS YOUR MUSIC XDDD, its just probably cause your community didn't have enough of the RETRO anime fans from 2000s when more of these type of music was around. XD
i was one of the folks suggesting deadman wonderland.
I loved Deadmam Wonderland. Unfortunately it only got 1 season and was far from finished. The opening is fantastic!
Big reason it only got one season is because they made the decision to cut one of the unimportant characters from the early arc...and then that character ended up being VERY important in the arc immediately after and for the rest of the series.
@@SyxxPunkYep, just stuck with the manga its way better
@@SyxxPunk Ah, thanks for the explanation. I wonder if it’ll ever get a reboot/remake. I have no clue if the manga was successful enough to justify that though. I really should just read the manga.
Didn't something happen to the mangaka too???
@@hellsbane666 Manga kept going was a good series brutal af though
Same like Gansta.. I hope got continuation for that
@@raiden0801 Yep Rip Manglobe
Unfortunately, they cut out a character that became very important later in the story. It was bad enough that they couldn’t recover it, which is a shame.
This and Tokyo Ghoul need reboots. But they need to find ways to keep both opening songs lol
Do remember that the manga kept going all the way to the end. I read it all and it was pretty good. It's also uncensored, obviously kk XD
@@rafaelcalmon2858 Very true, the manga did continue. I haven't gotten around to reading it but I've heard good things.
That's unfortunate . I love Deadman wonderland and have also completed the Mamga.
@@Spectacular_Insanity Did not know about this. Thanks for the info
This song and Kiri by Monorail (Ergo Proxy opening) are two of my favorite anime openings. The animation matches so perfectly with the song too. Really sets the mood for the entire series
Yes!! I really hope he reacts to ergo proxy opening .
What character? I finished the manga around 8 years ago so I don’t remember much, only that it was good
Also the mangaka went on an extended health leave that left the manga on hiatus for quite sometime.
@@asahinainu yeah from what i recall the mangaka was dealing with her pregnancy so she was not around as well to give the producer or any some insight
"One Reason" is a serious banger. Had it downloaded since the show aired.
You definitely need to checkout more of the music by this band, they’re called “FADE”.
Personally I like these songs the most:
So Far Gone
Black Hearts And Dollar Signs
Till The End Of Time
Cosmicalism
EDIT: yes I still listen to them even a decade later.
Thank you I wish Drifters would get a second season I’m dying for it. Hirano Kouta did well.
One Reason by Fade is an adaptation of one of their other songs, Black Hearts and Dollar Signs.
Luke, please react to "Babylon OST - A Given".
The composer is Yutaka Yamada, the one who did "Tokyo Ghoul OST - Glassy Sky"
This OST is really good.
Black Lagoon's opening is really good! It's older but really interesting, also very very dark.
You should react Rainbow: Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin Opening 1, it's really good!
great videos as always, btw u gotta check out "chainsaw man" op. its just AMAZING! the new anime that have been hyped for so long,!! Chainsaw man!
And necessarily ending too. There will 12 endings
The openings from Mirai Nikki are great, the anime is very dark as well
This anime is great!
The opening is really good
Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the top intros of all time as it’s the most iconic series
Soul Eater Openings/endings are great, papermoon especially. Also it’s the spooky season so it fits
Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the best shonen’s ever and is the previous work of HunterxHunter’s author

Check out "Rainbow: Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin", it has yet another great rock opening you're sure to like.
Also, what do you mean "when you were younger", I still listen to this and drowning pool XD
Edit: Ahhhh, that's too bad, you had the censored version, no nude dancing girls for you mate.
Oh no!
Most of the time an "anime" is like some sort of an advertisement for the source material (i.e. manga, light novels etc.)
If it gains traction and profit then they might proceed for another season. That was back then when TV. VHS tapes and CD's were prevalent. I don't know about these days I mean the online streaming era.
Awesome video! I think you really would enjoy the opening of "arpeggio of blue steel", its such a great OP
I loved this show. I miss this show. I’m disappointed that there’s not more to this show. Also, I have this opening downloaded 😂😂😂😂😂
Same for Dororo
you should check out the opening for Ergo Proxy it's awesome too
Deadman Wonderland anime didn't work out too well with an anime original story... but I still hear people saying that the manga is awesome.
Loved the first anime episodes though.
if you like this type of openings than I recommend you "Rainbow Nisha" op and "Bastard!!"op
Black Lagoon Openings are up your alley I remember watching it around the same time Deadman wonderland was on tv
This was also back before anime got censored to hell and back, so lots of blood and f bombs every episode
I will say that it has one of the craziest plot twists I’ve seen in anime.
Such a fuckin banger lol, glad you listened to the whole thing
Blood C - great opening
Naruto Shippuden - openings (20, 13, 1, 3, 6 and 10 are my favorite but most are good and 13 through 20 are really good).
One of my favorite Anime. Not a big Metal guy, I'm more of an 80s Rock guy but this song I love
Oh you're gonna love the opening theme for TRIGUN!!!
Used to listen to this song a lot on high school. This was a hype show.
If you want metal music anime opening i suggest you the opening of Bastard!! . It's probably for me the best metal anime opening of all !

Asobi Asobase - Ending | Pulse: ua-cam.com/video/aQ88sSjAETU/v-deo.html
Sorry for the repeated post, my first comment was on a video for perhaps the wrong audience. I won't do it again. 😏
Ouch. My suggestion certainly failed to gain any traction.
My kind of jam back in the day for sure.
So they make one season, they create hype and people buy the source material and then never return for a second season.
this is the exact same type of music i listened to back in the late 90's early 2000's
I listen to this song a few times a year but every time I do I have to listen at least 3 times. It is so good.
Another really good english anime opening is Gospel of the Throttle from the anime Drifters.
rainbow nisha rokubou no shichinin opening:we're not alone, is amazing to react also and the show is so underrated while its amazingly written!
There are a lot of anime from years ago/even today that are made just to suck people into a universe enough to get them interested in the manga after the first season ends. If the sales end up doing well, then the committees consider funding another.
I also really love this song. I'm so glad you looked up the full song 😍

Elfen Lied
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
Umineko no Naku Koro ni
Paranoia Agent
Ergo Proxy

Nice reaction as always. If you want to, I think you can try Gintama OP 13 "Sakura Mitsutsuki". This song is legendary, I find it funny that a lot of people don't watch the anime or don't even know about the band but they said they definitely heard this song somewhere before 😂
When I found this Anime a few years ago I watched the whole thing in 2 days, And played this song for an exceptionally long time. Compared to Titan, Deadman Wonderland is just as bloody or more with a Psychotic twist. This Anime is dark, and I would recommend it along with Overlord. Yes! I listen to them when im on my way to work lol

First of all, Deadman Wonderland would definitely be up your alley.
As for your questions:
- There are a lot of reasons for shows being axed.
These are NOT youtube friendly:
Monster.
Elfen Lied.
Gokukoku no Brynhildr/ (english title - Brynhildr in the Darkness).
Akame ga Kill.(this one could probably be shown in YT buuuut you would have to censor the blood a lot.)
Claymore.
Another.
Canaan.(again this one has blood that YT-kun would not like that much.)
Shiki.
Someone mentioned Ergo Proxy. How could I forget this one?
. . .
Just my 2 cents.
for anyone that cant find it on spotify
this is the actual song name
BLACK HEARTS&DOLLAR $IGN$
by fade
Kind of right. The orignal track is 'Black Hearts & Dollar Signs' by Fade.
However that song has a different meaning and lyrics, though the composition is the same.
'One Reason' uses the same composition but the lyrics are changed as they were written to suit the
tone of the anime.
So 'One Reason' is essentially a re-skin of the original meant for the anime, which is also why it is a pain to locate on music apps. You can however listen to the fan cover's of this song, but personally I think Fade set
the bar high with this op and have yet to find a fan who can do better.

From the anime "Grand Blue" you can piss with laughter, Prison School is also good
absolutely one of the most banging openings (and a really enjoyable show honestly), I'm SO glad see it get enough love to react too.
Still gonna suggest the RWBY openings. Not exactly the same song style, but i think you'd jam to them hard af.
If you like this song, I think you will like
the opening of DMC(detroit metal city) : Satsugai
the opening of Mirai nikki : Yousei Teikoku
the first is a Comedy where the MC is trusted into the role of a death metal singer, even if he himself doesn't want anything to do with metal.
The second is basically an anime spin of “hungers games” like in universe TV program. With gore and psychotic characters.
I don't know if you did already but High School of the Dead has some banger songs, every episode has a different ED.
School Live, Shiki, Another, Akame ga Kill, and Shingeki no Bahamut come to mind (idk if any of these got continuations)
For more recommendations, you should check out the Higurashi OPs!
But since a lot of it covers similar ground, it can be a slightly tedious watch, so I recommend watching the OG first (the earlier, the better), take a short break with one or two other anime, then coming back with the modern sequel
Then there's Umineko, which is another show that was cut short, but still worth a watch. Or you can just check the games - Higurashi and Umineko are fully completed and they've added Ciconia to the mix as well
This along with Deadman Wonderland could go on Patreon. That gives you the opportunity to just binge a few episodes - or the whole thing - and upload them. No schedule, no copyright, just record and upload with minimal edits. Works really well for something like Higurashi where it's a slightly longer watch than most because Patreon is just more time efficient
One show I would recommend is shiki, the openings is pretty good too.
You might like the Black Lagoon opening! I see someone else has also suggested it. Definitely a unique watch.
I put off watching this one for a while and I finally watched it a couple months ago and was very disappointed there was only one season!
*Spoiler free:* I REALLY can't say anything. If you are already sold on it, *go in fully blind. Episode 1 is gonna hit WAY harder like that.*
*It's less gory than Attack on Titan, but arguably more violent.
Check out the opening song for the anime "Rainbow". The song is kinda similar to this song imo
you should check out tsukimichi moonlit fantasy's opening. its a amazing opening and that anime is getting a season 2 soon
The ending by "Ezoshika Gourmet Club" is amazing too
Fade has another song that extactly sounds like the deadman wonderland opening called "black hearts and dollar signs"
