There was a blink and you miss it shot where you could see a bunch of spirits in the clouds when it panned up, and THAT'S what they've been pointing to. That particular section of JoJo is all about bringing a killer to justice for the sake of peace for his victims

The Manga came out in 1987.
Nobody had enough courage to properly animate it as a television show, so only two OVAs came out, but based only on Part 3. A third OVA movie based on Part 1 came out somewhere in the 2000s, but it's lost media.
Finally, in 2012, it started premiering as a television show.

if you rewind first opening a little more you could see the girl in a manga page at the beginning. The manga if from 1987, and when the first season came in 2012 most of the entire series was already written, so the animators know what they are doing

The variants in the intros are actually made when there’s a major change in the show for example (the most spoiler free one) is for the openings in part 4 where lil dude with the funny stance and white hair gets an ability (known as a stand)

I'm someone that originally stayed away from Jojos for over a decade under assumptions I wouldn't like it, to now having seen the animated parts 1-6 and read the parts that aren't animated yet. I can say with 100% certainly that Jojos is incredible, one of the best anime or manga ever written, and recommend it to anyone that hasn't seen or read it yet.
Before I got into it I hated the art style. Then I realized its a phenomenal art style after watching a bit.
This convinces me to watch it🙃

This is funny to me because Part 8 manga began in 2011, like a year before the anime first started and ended the same year that Part 6 anime came out. It's on Part 9 now (yes part 8 manga took 10 years to finish).

JoJo is basically a "generational" manga/anime, so every part has it's own protagonist, with some kind of relation with the Joestar family, taking place in different time periods (for example, part 1 takes place in the 1890s, part 3 in the 80s, part 4 in 1999 etc)
Also, the guy with the hat and chains (Jotaro) appears in every part after the part he is the protagonist, which makes him one of the most recurring characters of the series

If you wanna know, the official anime that we notably know started in 2012 but the manga started in 1987 with an OVA that started in 1993 but it only showed Part 3 Stardust Crusaders
From part 4 (5th to 7th opening) onwards all the character abilities (those creatures that stand next to them) are named after music references. Like Killer Queen, Stone Free, Purple Haze, Spice girls, etc.

Thank God, you caught the final openings tribute to the first opening with all the pages of the manga which very freakishly if you didn’t pay, attention, actually includes this girl in the very first opening. All the characters were actually displayed on that first opening all the way to the end of the series that was all done.

The Variants all coincide with the Main Villain "Invading" the openings, and the way the songs are changed are reflective of the Villain themselves. Only exclusion being the EDM version of Opening 5, where the EDM was for a different arc where the main villain changed, but said villain wasn't the main villain of that part, hence he didn't "invade" the opening like previous villains.
I cannot wait for part 7 to come out and to see the openings it brings with it
